Rated 5 out of 5 by Candice Best. Iron. Ever.
Let me start by saying I absolutely loathe ironing. Of all my many household responsibilities, it is my absolute least favorite. With this iron...I hate it a little less. It is POWERFUL. Pressing the steam button will blast this thing across your board. When I filled up the tank the first time, I was a little bummed it didn't hold more water, but I've been presently surprised by how long the steam lasts. It gets into all the tight corners on dress shirts easily with the shaped "nose." I also like the weight. My last iron weighed a ton and was tiring to use, but this one is just heavy enough that I don't have to press down but still light enough to glide easily. I've looked at Rowenta irons in the past and wondered if they were really worth the hefty price tag...now I know they are. I will never by a different brand iron. This thing is great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JVal I still don't like ironing, but this one makes it tolerable
I hate ironing. I don't know many people who like it. I sure don't. At my house, it usually means getting out all sorts of starch, spray bottles, irons, boards, etc - it's a mess. This iron definitely still is an iron, so it's got that going against it, but other than the fact that you have to actually iron when using it, it's a great iron. It's significantly nicer than the one I got when my husband and I got married (probably a $35 model). It heats faster and more evenly, feels sturdier, has better construction, and when using it, it somehow gets the wrinkles out better. I know, it seems like an iron would be an iron, but this one does it better. Maybe it's the water feature. Sure, it's got the spray feature that a lot of irons have, but the steam feature is where it's at. I can hit the steam button once and it creates enough of a kick of steam to finish the entire back of one of my husband's dress shirts (with no starch) in seconds. It's so efficient. So basically, if I absolutely HAVE to iron, using this one makes it easier and faster, which is a plus. Plus, I don't have to use starch, which I don't love because it just gets everywhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Beth Really a great iron.
When I first took the Rowenta Steamforce Iron out of the box, I thought this it too heavy for me to use on a regular basis. However, the weight of the iron was not noticable when using the iron. The iron glided easily and I now believe the weight is beneficial in controlling the iron. I love the anti-drip system of no water dripping from the sole plate. The Rowenta Steamforce Iron works better than the other irons I have used that fall in the same price and function category. I plan on purchasing a Rowenta Steamforce Iron for my daughter and her family. This is definitely a great iron; very easy to use; and performs well on all types of fabrics. I have become of fan of ironing again since being introduced to this iron.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hedia It really is a great force of steam!
I wasn't sure if I could be convinced there was a better iron than the one I currently own. I have a TeFal brand iron and I thought that this was the cream of the crop. My iron is a regular steam iron. This new Rowenta Steamforce iron is a whole new concept. I received this iron for my honest review from Viewpoints sampling. This iron is a cross between a regular iron and a hand held steamer. First of all, I thought it would be too heavy to handle as I have osteoarthritis in my hands. It is not! It is easy to handle and maneuver especially around buttons on a shirt. But the best is that you don't need to press down. Just glide around the piece of clothing you are ironing. The sole plate is covered with steam vent holes that shoots out steam. I use this iron with an ironing board as that is the easiest way for me. I did a mini experiment with a very wrinkled 100% cotton shirt and steamed the front of the shirt. The steam was great on starting to smooth out the wrinkles. I did not complete steaming the shirt as that became difficult for my hands. I believe anyone who doesn't suffer from osteoarthritis should have an easier time steaming upright with the iron. Also, one more point: with all that steam you do NOT feel like you are stepping into the sauna. The area directly around the iron does not heat up. My adult daughter saw my new Rowenta Steamforce iron and wanted to "borrow" it. I replied with a flat out NO! I recommend this iron.

Rated 5 out of 5 by spotandjudy WOW! Really easy to use!
My husband has to wear dress clothes to work that need pressed. My elderly father (that we help) likes ALL of his shirts, pants, shorts, and hankies pressed. I KNOW that it would be quick and easy to take them to the cleaners, but really that costs me time and money. Plus, I like to be able to do chores when I can fit them in. I do have to say that I generally hate to iron, but this iron was really easy to use, worked great, and worked great. My only complaint would be the design....I guess I am just used to how my old iron felt in my hands, it will just be something I would have to get used to with the new one. No real complaint, but you do get used to using something and have to get used to using something new.

I've always thought, ".. an iron is an iron. Why would anyone pay that much for an iron? I can buy this 15 buck iron and it will do the same thing!" WRONG! This iron is amazing. It heats up fast. The steam penetrates deep into the fabric. It will NOT leave behind a wrinkle. With it being a smart iron, it senses when to stop steaming. This not only conserves the water, but conserves power as well! It is a heavy iron. But that is not necessarily a bad thing. It has a professional feel to it. It just glides over any fabric. Yes, it is a bit pricey. Pricey, but so worth it. I am a stay at home mom to 4 kids (and a husband). I do LOTS of ironing. This iron takes the stress out of it. This iron makes ironing FUN! You need this iron in your life.
