Rated 2 out of 5 by Looking elsewhere These curtains are nothing like velvet. They are just a thicker material (similar to suede but not) with a foam layer backing (the standard white sort of rubber substance on cheaper curtains). They smell of chemicals. They are not heavy or thick. Of the 4 panels I bought 1 does not block the light as well and is noticeably lighter in the daytime. That same panel is also irregularly cut and longer at the bottom. Two of the panels arrived in broken packaging but otherwise seem undamaged. The blue which is described as stone blue is not a gray blue but is similar to the JCP antique blue color. Years back I bought some eclipse curtains from JCP that are all fabric and they are still in good shape and block the light as well as these do so I expected high quality here. These are also horribly wrinkled and because of the backing I expect they would need attention, but mine are going back and I am going to look for a different brand. January 29, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by I love them. I love the fact that they keep the light out. And you don't need hooks or a special rod to hang them on. June 15, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by The blackout function was perfect, but the fabric was not attractive. These panels blocked 100 percent of the light, and that was wonderful. HOWEVER, the fabric and color of the panels were very disappointing. The fabric was lightweight, and did not hang well, and the color was not as shown on the website. I returned them, and bought the Supreme panels. August 19, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for watching movies My television sits across the living room from a large window. It was always a pain to watch movies during the day due to the reflection on the television. Ever since hanging these curtains up, I have had absolutely no light reflecting off my screen and have been able to watch movies during the day with no problems whatsoever. A little on the pricey side but so worth it! January 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by FAUX SUEDE LIKE FINISH ON THESE DRAPES I ordered these for a bedroom that gets a lot of sun. I have sheers under them also. I am using the back tab portion on a wooden rod so that they appear folded evenly and very professionally. The color matches my new comforter and bed skirt, pillows, etc. My "window" is a five foot wide sliding door that we don't use. They hang beautifully right out of the package! December 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by really does block light and cold I bought the sable color of this curtain. They are great for blocking light and outside temps. I have them on a south facing window and they are perfect. I do wish the nap was more velvet like. It has a short nap to it, more like a suede. The sable color sometimes looks olive green next to blue. January 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Product The curtains I ordered are exactly what I wanted. I wanted the blackout curtains so that my sons & guests could sleep late, especially in the summer. I highly recommend them. March 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Different use but works well! Great, sturdy, well made curtain. Purchased to cover a laundry closet door. Even blocks out SOME washer and dryer noise. I was surprised. January 2, 2014
