by suzicue869 Poor return policy
I got my Cuisinart Cookware set for Christmas from my husband. After carefully removing them from the box we noticed the 12" skillet had a small crease on the rim as if it was pinched in something during its making. Cuisinart consumer service center informed us that we needed to ship them the pan at our expense so they can evaluate whether it was a defect in the product or if it was misuse or abuse. And with that send them a check or money order for $? to return the pan or a replacement pan in about two weeks. I will be returning the pans to JCP and let them deal with Cuisinart and I will purchase a different set of pans from a different company.

This is my first stainless steel, non-nonstick, cookware set. I wanted something durable because I was tired of getting replacements for my hard anodized pots of another brand. I thought that there would be a big learning curve from everything I have read about food sticking. I haven't had any food stick. The pans clean surprisingly easy. I am not sure if it has worked out so well because I am used to using cast iron pans as well, but it has been a joy using them. I love that each pan has it's own lid so you don't have to worry about sharing lids and being short one when cooking multiple things. The handles do get warm, but it takes a long time. These pans retain heat so well. Dinner leftovers are still steaming in the pan after we are done eating. I thought the reason for not using heat above med-high was so the food does not burn or stick, but it is also because the pans themselves will get too hot. I boiled water on high and learned this. It left some discoloration on the bottom of the pan, but I have read that bar keepers friend powder will fix the problem. JCPenny.com by far had the best deal on this set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AndMo In love with my cookware!
I've had this cookware about 2 weeks now & absolutely love it. I was a bit nervous about cooking in stainless steel. I've read complaints about it sticking. But we stuck with the advice to let the pans heat, then add a little oil & finally the food. We've followed that every time & nothing has stuck. Burgers, french toast, chicken & even eggs. Stick with that formula & you won't have any sticking! Cleanup is also easy. Again, we followed the directions, add warm water & let sit for a few minutes then food wipes right off. I'm sold on stainless! Make sure you read up on how to cook with these pans & how to clean them. It'll make your life easier.
I really like the mix of pots & pans in this set. We've used all of them already. It's definitely the right mix for someone who enjoys cooking as much as we do. I would definitely recommend this set to anyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Josh Excellent Value - Don't Like the Lids
We wanted to replace our Teflon coated cookware after we realized that it was coming off into our food. My family was eating chemicals! We were wary about a new Teflon set since we're uncomfortable cooking anymore with our food on a surface coated with chemicals.
This set seemed to fit the job. It had plenty of pieces and was stainless steel, which we liked. I thought we were buying the Multiclad Pro (MCP) but it turns out this is the "Chef's Classic". The big difference between the two is that the multiple metals (a sandwich of stainless and aluminum) continues up the sides in the MCP. This leads to a more even distribution of heat and can cause less sticking on the sides. In practice, this hasn't been an issue for us with the Chef's Classic.
Overall, this set is a great value and we don't regret buying it. The curved sides are also great when you are pouring out of the pots. Nothing drips down the side!
The set does have one annoyance though:
The pots and pans don't stack neatly for storage. With our old set, you could flip the lids upside down and place it on top of the pot/pan. We could then stack the next smaller size on top in this same way. You can't do that with this set very easily since flipping the lids over won't allow them to sit inside the pot/pan. As a result, the lids slide off and it is kind of a storage mess. Other than that, this is a great set!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Wanda Great Stainless Cookware Set!
I was very happy with my new Cuisinart cookware set. It is very stylish and functional. Have had no problems; I have followed the manufacturer's suggestions about cooking on lower temperatures. This is very hard for me since I am used to starting everything on high! Would recommend this cookware set!

Rated 5 out of 5 by ShineBright Beautiful, Functional--and Lids For Almost Everything!
I am delighted with my new set of stainless steel cookware. First of all, I love the way it stays lovely after every use. Just a bit of vinegar helps with this. Second, and this is a biggie--I tried lids on my pans, and nearly every piece has a lid somewhere in the set that fits it. So many things that I cook need lids, so this is a real plus for me. Another big bonus for me is that it is easy to lift--light weight--and extra handles to help with the larger cooking pieces. Finally, this set provides even heat distribution so that my food cooks beautifully and evenly. I have been through a lot cookware in my life-and this one is by far my very best.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Cole They work great
They are good quality. I was a little leery because people had stated that they couldn't use them on high heat. I don't really know what they were talking about because I cook on high all the time and they work like any other pan for browning you will get some sticking but no more than other pans except nonstick. The only reason that I didn't give 5 stars is because the handles get hot. I was disappointed about that.
