Rated 4 out of 5 by Brenda We love this type coffe maker because you can don't have to pour and spill coffee on counter
We bought this because we like the convenience of the coffee maker. Kudo's to the store department workers who took their time to help us get this ordered since it was out of stock.

I purchased this coffeemaker approx 1 year ago & have since used it on a daily basis, so I be knowin' what I be talkin' about. As other consumers have expressed: yes, it does make an exceptional cup of coffee and yes, it has a greater level of convenience over what most of us are familiar with using in our kitchens & break rooms. It cleans up very easily too... wherein is the key to this product's long life. Unlike an old, neglected coffee carafe that can be easily-scrubbed or replaced, this device retains its coffee within the main, removable compartment of the coffee maker. So, if you neglect keeping this baby clean by not regularly rinsing-out & wiping-down the removable coffee compartment, residue & mold WILL build up in the numerous black plastic crevasses. Another thing (neither positive nor negative): The small, blue LED display did not have the ability to "dim", so when it's nighttime & all the lights are off, this baby illuminates that particular room in a space-ship blue glow, rendering any nightlights you may have within the area completely unnecessary. Lol.

So far, so good... I find this coffee maker very easy to use, and it makes good coffee quickly using slightly less coffee than our old machine. The quality is a bit disappointing, though. The buttons on the front are a bit loose, and one of the rubber feet on the bottom has already fallen off even though we've had it a little over a week. We purchased a Hamilton Beach blender at the same time, and had to return it because of a loose part in the motor after just a couple of days. I'm hoping that this product is more durable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by JW001 Only virtue is it doesn't require a carafe.
I have used this product twice daily, for over a year, so I know it well. I don't know why there have been so many positive reviews for it because the only two positives I could find are the price and the ability to have coffee without a carafe. Other than that I hated it. The coffee tasted okay, but it was never very hot, and there was no way to adjust the temp. I would have to heat the coffee in the microwave after putting in creamer to get it hot. There is only a single beep when the coffee finishes brewing. Also, after filling your cup it would drip coffee into the drip tray, a few drops for each cup, creating a mess to clean.. The worse thing though was the internal cleanup. This product keeps the coffee internally, so that it bakes it into all the plastic crevices, internal warming plate, coffee level windows, etc. It was always dirty and needed cleaning. The longer you keep it warming the coffee the dirtier it gets. It would get so dirty after a short time that I had to use baking soda to clean it. Plus, I don't know what, if anything, the coffee is getting from the plastic being heated hour after hour. Finally, after a year I gave up and got the Cuisinart Extreme Brew and it is excellent. I will review it after I have used it for awhile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Knight2K Excellent!
My wife bought me this coffeemaker about 4 months ago, and I just wanted to say that this is the best coffeemaker I’ve ever seen! Rather than using a coffee pot, it has a dispenser where you insert your cup so it's very safe to get a cup of coffee. It always tastes great and fresh and, if programmed, you can have it hot for up to 4 hours. The blue LED is nice and bright in the dark so you can see your way around the kitchen. Just remember when you’re done, clean out the pitcher and remove the grounds from the top after you let it cool down for a while. The coffeemaker is slim and small so it doesn't tie up too much space in your kitchen. Overall, the craftsmanship and quality of this product is an A+!

Just returned the Mr. Coffee eight cup thermal carafe model for multiple reasons, and this Hamilton Beach model has it beat hands down for the same price. Haven't fully checked it out, but so far, the features are excellent. Choice of Bold brew, 1 to 4 cup brew, and warming time are nice options at this price range. Coffee tasted good (Seattle's Best French Roast) on Bold setting.
Makes an annoying beep at the end of the cycle, which I wish I could mute. It's probably not loud enough to wake my wife, but my dog responds to it and that will definitely wake her. WHY include this feature/flaw?
Can't comment on durability, so I gave it a three. Otherwise , seems like an excellent choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Micky45 Great Coffeemaker
I had a 6 cup HB coffeemaker like this for about 5 years. I loved it and when I had to replace it, I chose this one. It makes great coffee. We like the Bold setting and I especially like the Clean indicator. We have rusty water and this prompts me to clean it before there's a problem. I would prefer a 6 cup model, but this one does make smaller amounts than 12 cups.
