I bought this upright vacuum thinking it would work on marble and wood as well as on area rugs. My cleaning lady would not use it. The few times I did, I could see why.
It does NOT work easily on rugs; it has mangled the edge of a very old rug I purchased abroad. It also does not glide smoothly on rugs.
Pick up is awful. I have to go over a spot, floor or carpet, several times and then give up and manually pick it up.
It is past the time to return; what a waste. Had I listened to my cleaning lady, I could have returned it the first week she tried it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by doneshoppinghere Great product
Although I have a hard time writing reviews after the changes Penney's has gone through I did buy this vacuum and it has far surpassed anything I could have guessed...I loved my Oreck so much and after watching the infomercial about how well this vacuum was on pet hair I though I would give it a try. Do not hesitate! For the price this blows my Oreck away. When it arived I had already vacuumed the day before and I filled the entire bucket in only two rooms. After all the horror stories you hear of bagless vacuums this stands up to all of the claims of its no loss of suction...the filters were not even dirty! Do not hesitate to but this vacuum and the estra accesories that are available for pet hair help too!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Sue85 Difficult for an older person to use.
I am a senior citizen and have arthritis. I like the fact that you don't need a bag. I was hoping you could just remove the cup that holds the dirt and empty it and put it back but you have to take the vacuum apart. It is too hard for me. A younger person might manage ok. I am going to have to return the vacuum to a store when I can get a ride. I do not drive so this will be hard for me to do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TeddyBear48 Great Suction
I have used a lot of vacuums but none have been as easy to maneuver as this mighty little machine, don't let the size of the vacuum fool you it has great suction - yet is very easy to maneuver you can do a whole house with it and not even be tired, it seems to glide over the carpets and does an amazing job of removing all the dirt that you never suspected was actually in your carpet, to look at the vacuum it appears much smaller than most other vacuums but it does what all those other bigger and heaver vacuums does without all the excess size and bulk, in this case smaller truly is better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by kittylover3 This product does a decent job.
Vacuum is light weight but only because most of it is plastic. The 3-in-1 tool arrived broken but I was able to order a replacement directly from Hoover's web site. It does pick up pet hair better than some vacuums I have had in the past but not as well as the LG canister I also have. Machine folds almost flat to fit under furniture with enough clearance for the body. The cord is ample length for my needs. The cleaning head is about 12 1/2 inches wide so it fits into some tight spaces. One recomendation: read the box it comes in. The box has more useful information than the owners' manual.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Meyr Definitely not what I had expected
I asked for this as my Christmas present. I had spent a lot of time looking at reviews for various vacuum cleaners (i.e., Dyson). I liked the idea of the windtunnel HIPA filter, easy maneuverability, no loss of suction and good for pet hair. However I have begun to hate this vacuum for these reasons:
The suction for carpet is extremely strong on my area rug. Such that it takes extreme tugging and pulling. But on my bare floors it does pick up everything--like the suction is cut in half.
After using about a month I began to smell an order when in use suggesting the filter is letting particles to escape. I've cleaned it as directed but still has the problem.
You do have to clean out the dirt container with your hands every time. The release is not beneficial.
While the hose does extend, it won't stay extended, I am constantly fighting with it. It falls down all the time if I'm not extremely diligent -- marring up my floors and furniture.
If I had my receipt, I would love to return it!!! I thought Hoover was a reputable, dependable product but I was terribly mistaken.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Steve62 I would have given it Five Stars...
Love it in every way, except that you have to remove six screws to remove and clean the brush bar. First time I used it, I couldn't believe how powerful the vacuum was! My carpet has never been so clean! Very easy to remove and empty the dust cup. I like the fact that the brush bar stops when fully upright. The power button and brush bar disconnect button are right at your fingertips! Other than the one negative, I would highly recommend this Hoover vacuum!

Rated 5 out of 5 Powerful Lightweight Vacuum Cleaner
With a house full of four people and two dogs, the Hoover Wind Tunnel Air Bagless Upright Vacuum is one of the lightest weight vacuums I had ever used. It transitioned nicely from carpet to laminate. The small canister did fill up rather quickly, but was easy to empty. With the push of a button it was emptied out and ready to go again. The handle is super flexible, this vacuum cleaner goes way down to the ground, so you can get under beds and all types of furniture. The light on top seemed to be more for cosmetic purposes, not so much from a functional point of view, and I will say it does look nice. The amazing suction made up for any downfalls this vacuum cleaner has. From a functionality point of view, this vaccum is top notch. The attachments were easy to use and not bulky when it comes to storing the vacuum cleaner. From a noise point of view, it was quiet when it comes to vacuum cleaners. I received a sample product to facilitate my review, but my opinions are entirely my own.
