Rated 5 out of 5 by Clyde Hoover over Dyson any day!
I had a Hoover Windtunnel Bagless years ago...and it was the best vacuum I ever had. I found this one at J.C.P. and was excited to see it was half the price I paid for my last Hoover. I LOVE that it is self-propelled. As for the "bagged" aspect, only time will tell if I like that better, but as for now my carpets look refreshed and the "high traffic" areas have disappeared.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Allnighter2 Hoover Windtunnel Vacuum
This is the second Hoover Windtunnei vacuum, self-propelled of both forward and reverse that we have owned. The first one is about 16 years old and still going strong. Both are identical except for the color(blue instead of green) and they changed the location of where the tools are stored. It still has great suction. The new one seems more zippy than the old one. This is a great machine that everyone likes to use. All the old accessories fit the new one. The old one is at the repair shop for a minor tune-up before we donate it to our church.

Rated 4 out of 5 by katydoggie Better than previous model
I just bought this to replace my older Windtunnel self-propelled bagged upright. Works great so far, and seems they have made improvements like the rubber around edges, hose stretches easier, and handle ring

Rated 5 out of 5 by Parent of 2 active kids Replacement after 15 years and is even better than the first one we bought.
Purchased to replace unit that we bought in 2001. The plastic on the 2001 that allows the rug height to be set broke on the drive unit and a replacement part was more than a new vacuum so we just bought a new vacuum. Up until now, replacement parts were always reasonable in cost (cords, filters, brushes, cables, belts, etc.). Like the refinements in the design. Works just as well as our 2001 unit did but the sound is different. The old units color was a bit more subdued versus the electric blue on the new unit. The small hand held spin brush seems much better than the original design and we like how it holds into the vacuum body versus how it was secured in the 2001 design. We have one of these on each floor of our house (2) and if we have to replace other other older one which is now about 10 years old, would not hesitate to just get another one. Really like the HEPA bags you can get for these as they are far less messy than the "bag free" designs. Not quiet sure why anyone would ever want to deal with the messy bag free vacuum cleaner designs that has any sensitivity to allergies. Wife has back problems and the self propelled unit eliminates any problems for her.

Vacuum has very good suction. Also self propelled is great. Like all the extra tools. Priced a little too high. Other than that very satisfied. .

Rated 4 out of 5 by Janeman Self propelled feature.
Still have 25 year old Hoover concept-one which is self propelled, but Hoover discontinued making brush for that model which still works. Decided to purchase this model but self propelled feature is not as good as the old one. Returned first one thinking it was defective but the second one is just the same as the first one. Otherwise it is a god Vacuum hoping it lasts as long as the Concept-one from 1990.
