Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Scent Which Lives Up To Its Name BOSS THE SCENT is the real deal, as I have found out after trying it the past few weeks. The clean, masculine aroma truly emphasizes a strong personality with bold hints of leather. As a man, I enjoy wearing this scent, as I find it to be very pleasing. The more important challenge, however, was the women: I opted to test this odor during a wife's gathering of friends. I made no word of the new cologne, nor mention that I had even put any on - I merely walked through the gaggle and took note of reaction. Boy, were there reactions. I was pulled and prodded as the acute noses picked up on my aroma and drew me in for a better smell. It was as if these women smelled fresh meat and couldn't help themselves. BOSS THE SCENT turned to be very desirable and complimented by the lady folk. I would not hesitate in seeking this one out for yourself. It is a distinct, staple aroma that will boldly pick up what you're laying down. Give it a try. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I really like the Hugo boss cologne ! Three words. Masculine, compliment getter. While a lot may be said for its synthetic notes, I for one must say, synthetic or not this juice smells good. It has a sort of green smell, on my skin the rum and green apple pop out at first followed by a delicious mossy sandal wood. I would not recommend this for a blind buy because on some people it just doesn't smell well. When testing make sure to apply to skin because it smells different on the strip. Best suited for days when you just feel like a man who needs to take care of things. great for office and out on the town night or day. Great longevity and projection. Only con is the evolution of the notes on me. 15 minutes of delicious apple and rum followed by the smooth masculine mossy sandalwood. The middle notes are just kinda detectable. Still great especially for the compliments I'm getting. just today A woman asked me what i was wearing so she could get some for her boyfriend. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for me I thought the Boss scent was very heavy. My wife immediately scrunched her nose when I asked her to do a smell test for the product. Think very oaky and leathery as a starting point. Not to be rude, but the scent reminded me of a cologne I got when I was in 6th grade and over applied to impress the ladies. It's the type of scent that someone over sprays on themselves to make it very clear that they are wearing cologne. I felt uncomfortable with the scent after I applied it because it really clashed with my personality. It is quite an overpowering smell, and I prefer scents that are lighter and have a more citrus leaning tone. I do imagine my father or a grandfather would find the level of scent in this cologne to be more appealing than me, a millennial. As mentioned above, my wife did not like the scent. She is my most trusted critic, and since she wasn't a fan, I wasn't either. I received this product in exchange for an honest review. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like Leather bound books on mahogany shelves in a gentlemen s club I received a sample of Boss the Scent as a Buzz Agent. Much like the other samples I received it also smells good and lasts all day with smells that take your mind to luxury and relaxation. Boss the Scent smells like being in a very wealthy gentlemen’s club where everyone is wearing tuxedos and sipping brandy, sitting in fine leather couches, surrounded by leather bound books on enormous mahogany book shelves. The leathery spicy musk smell was very stimulating but not the least bit overbearing. Just a few drops on the neck and I was surrounded with this indulgent smell that made the whole day seem a bit more classy. You can use a little bit and smell it all day but it does not fill an elevator with the smell like some people who bathe in their scent and gas everyone out for the first half of the day so they can keep their scent for the last half. Not sure how they did it, but this stays strong but not overbearing all day long. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another favorite I've heard of Hugo Boss cologne, but never tried until now. Boss the Scent is has cinnamon, clove, Apple, bergamot, sandalwood, cedar wood and a few other manly scents. I wanted to know if it was too overpowering? Is it going to smell like Old Spice since it has so many spices? How long does it last? As usual, I tried the scent on my wrist and clothes. Since the scent is a little strong, I wore it at night when going to dinner with the family. To my surprise, I loved it!!! It was not overpowering, it was somewhat subtle. There was a slight difference on the clothes and on my wrist. It smelled a tad bit sweeter on my wrist. The longevity of the scent lasted all night, to the point I could still smell it on me hours later. It was not overwhelming, Hugo Boss did it right with Boss the Scent. The best way to describe this cologne is "mature". It's definitely not for boys. I recommend Boss The Scent if you want to feel dapper! Get your grown man on :) [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The boss. Literally. You can call this a traditional cologne, and that's not a bad thing at all. I put this scent on in the morning on the corners of my neck and just a little bit on my chest, as I normally do, and went about my day. This scent is excellent. It has a very pronounced masculine, musky smell to it, which I greatly enjoy. It works extremely well for both personal and professional settings, as it doesn't shout or linger, as some colognes tend to do, making them unpleasant. It lasts all day without being too overpowering, which is extremely impressive. I find that some colognes are nigh-undetectable by the end of the day, but not so with this one. Also, my girlfriend definitely liked it, and that's what matters most, right? I have tried Hugo Boss scents in the past, and this continues in true fashion of a cologne that I would consider in my normal rotation. It works much better than you would expect it to, and I could recommend this cologne to anyone. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Fiance Speaks: Boss the Scent So here's the thing about human's sense of smell: It's the most quickly adapting of our senses. Meaning I can only smell myself for so long. It's those around me who will notice my fragrance the most. With that in mind, I figured my opinion could only be so helpful. Therefore I employed the smelling prowess of my fiance (pronounce that like Beyonce) to see what she thought of each of these colognes. Right off the bat, this was her absolute favorite. I'm talkin' out of the park, kid. Unlike me, who thought this one smelt a bit feminine, she thought BOSS THE SCENT was obviously masculine. It held light notes, but was smooth and nice to be around. She said it reminded her of her father, who used to wear CK Obsession, so...do with that what you will. She also liked that while it was distinctive, it wasn't overpowering. It was subtle. I wouldn't be surprised if she buys me a bottle of this stuff in the not-too-distant future. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Da boss Scent I really like the scent of this cologne, but I judge colognes on several aspects -- not just scent. First of all, as I said, I really did enjoy the scent of this. It smells classy, and masculine but it isn't over-powering. As for packaging, because I'm an aesthetic fanatic, I would just like to say first and foremost, I don't really care for the sample vial SIZE. Given the amount that it takes to actually smelly anything at all with this cologne due to its subtleness and tendency to wear off quickly, I don't think this size is really appropriate to try to its fullest extent. Nor do I really prefer the fact that you can't spray with the sample vial I was given. It's a pain to take that ridiculously small lid off and dab it on your skin. I did, however, really like the packaging of the full-size product that I saw on the website. It's elegant and I wouldn't mind having it on my shelf (which is saying something, because I'm very picky about aesthetics). [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
