Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice pants. Size slim is VERY VERY slim. You probably don't want slim. These are great pants. I would recommend that if your son is a size slim, that you just go ahead and get a regular. My son is ULTRA slim and last time I bought these in a slim they were too tight in the waist and I had to exchange them. You don't want to have to go down and exchange them so I'm saving you the hassle with this tidbit of info. This time I bought a regular, right off that bat, and saved myself the hassle. Other than that, they are good quality and nice looking pants. We have washed the previous pair about 10 times or so and they look great still. They still look good with the matching jacket which is dry clean only and we have never taken it to be dry cleaned yet. No noticeable color difference.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice pants, run small My son has recently moved up from a 14 to a 16. He loved these pants in a 14 so I wanted to get him more in his new larger size. He loved how the old ones felt (kind of soft material) and had always told me how comfortable they were. He still fits in the old 14s, but they're getting a little snug, so I ordered these pants in a 16 and they are WAY too small. The waist looks more like a size 12 or 14 and he couldn't even get them above his hips. I'm not even sure an 18 would fit him at this point so they have to go back. I'm totally bummed. I added pics of the old, same pants in a size 14 over the size 16 so you can judge for yourself what size would best suit you, should you choose to order them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Dress Pant This is the third pair of these pants I've purchased for my son. When he grows out of one size, I buy the next size for him. He needs black dress pants for choir and these fit him well. He can't fit in regular sized dress pants (his hips are very narrow). The slim fits him well. Great quality pant.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality My 10 year old has a band concert and needed black pants and a white shirt. These are very nice, and true to size. I would recommend them to other moms at school who have boys in the band. He can wear these to his brothers first communion as well. Good quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Quality and Price This is our 2nd pair of pants, as my oldest grew out of the 1st and my middle is now able to wear. They still look like new after many wears and were only a fraction of the price of higher end department store brands. Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality dress pants for boys. The style of the dress pants was perfect. This item was exactly what I was searching for. I wanted a stylish young man cut dress pants for my grandson. Every boy needs a nice pair of dress pants for those special occasions and I got what I wanted from J.C. Penny's.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My 13 year old son is TALL and THIN... My 13 yr old son is tall and THIN. These are the best fitting dress pants! He's not crazy about the cut(he'd prefer a more stylish skinny leg), but they FIT him--waist and length. A very hard thing to find.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sizes run small Bought these in the store for my son. He normally wears a 16 slim. They ran small. They were at least an inch and a half too short and were tight as well. Nice slacks just not sized well.

what is waste size and length of a 16 slim or the 18 slim fit.

Asked by: Dana
My son wears a 28 x 30. He fit very well into a 16 regular. The 16 slim was too tight in the waist. An 18 slim was comparable to the 16 regular. Little more thigh room in regular vs. slim and the length is approximately 30 in for both.

Is there a page that has the dimension listed 10 husky, 10 reg, 12 reg, 12 husky? I don't know what my son is.

Asked by: Angela
I bought a pair of size 10 reg for my son (who was not with me at the time of purchase). The length was perfect, however they were too tight. It was almost like a slim fit. I would have gone with a 10 Husky if my local store had it but they did not.
