by MsAbby Looks Great!
I priced custom made blinds and they were out of my price range. I ordered some "wood look" ones from JCP because I didn't want to wait for a backorder but they did NOT look like wood. I had to wait 5 weeks for these and I am pleased with the look. Easy to install and operate. Worth waiting for.

by Hawaiianlove821 I love the Maple!
These blinds were exactly what I was looking for! Previously I had up the bamboo shades....they didn't provide enought privacy and they were a pain to use...these are soo much easier to use and look richer! They are also easy to shorten which gives them a more customized look!

My new wood blinds look perfect at my windows and keep the bright sun from glaring in my rooms. I get lots of compliments on them, too!

by sql4 Absolutely beautiful and perfect match for our decor!!
Hubby and I are extremely pleased with this purchase! The fit was perfect, the quality met all expectations, the color blended well with our custom wood treatments. When the blinds are closed, the light coming in is reduced substantially. Great buy for us!

If you have a mid-20th century house with a den that still has the original tongue and groove knotty pine paneling, the Maple version of these blinds is a perfect match! I wasn't sure because I thought it might be too brown from the photo online, but it looks great. The blinds really warm up the room - very cozy for my mission-style home office. I tried the other option - the "printed" faux brown blinds - and had to return them. I was hoping those would be similar to the white faux blinds, but they weren't - they had a wood-grain Contact paper feel, if you remember that stuff. But these are gorgeous, real wood, and if you can get them on sale, they're a great value. If you're looking at these for an outside mount, as opposed to inside the window frame, you should know that the valance only covers the front of the frame; an outside mount will have exposed hardware on the sides, and the hardware is a lighter brown, so it would stand out. Not an issue for me, but it might be for some. The white JCP faux wood blinds I purchased have the full three-sided valance, so I was surprised these did not.

I read a lot of reviews about these blinds so ordered 6 of them. I have put up many, many blinds and found these were very easy to install. I had one problem and that was with the valance. It came with a metal clip that had adhesive on the back to stick to the metal headrail. As I was installing the third blind, one of the valances came crashing to the floor. As I progressed around the room, all of the valances had come off. The adhesive is not keeping the valance on the headrail. I much prefer the plastic clips that have come with other blinds I have installed. The valance is very attractive and finishes the blinds well so I will have to use a different manner to attach them. I am thinking of the Command line of products, probably a poster hanger. Otherwise, very satisfied with the blinds! Would definitely order again.

My husband and I just bought a new construction home, so we had no window treatments. I knew I wanted real wood blinds, but we hardly had faux wood blind money let alone the money for the real deal! I was elated when I stumbled upon the clearance sale through JCP for real wood blinds. I bought 14 of the distressed ivory blinds. My husband and I hung most of them today, and they are absolutely beautiful!!! The blinds look like we paid much more than we actually did for them, and the ivory color looks so clean and crisp and matches our stair banister as well as our baseboards. The only con is that the valance clips that are provided with the blinds were ineffective and fell off of every single blind that we hung causing dings in a few places on my walls and generally annoying me (the adhesive is weak and does not stick to the blind well). I ended up using super glue to get the clips to stay in place, and it worked wonderfully. Other than that small gripe, I have no complaints. The blinds are Fantastic, and I am very happy that I decided to go with the JCP blinds. Installation was a breeze, but it does take two people to get them hung. Do not hesitate to buy these blinds; it was definitely money well spent.

I have purchased both the JCP faux-wood and wood blinds. The wood blinds are beautiful. They are understandably a little on the thin side, so as not to be too heavy. I splashed some food on the ones over my kitchen sink and was holding one slat firmly while I wiped the blinds. To my surprise (and horror), my grip left a hairline crack on the blind! I'm not that strong and I don't think the blinds are that fragile, but I'm glad I didn't snap the slat! The distressed ivory is beautiful -- a perfect neutral and I don't see the "distressed" variation in color. Also beautiful in maple, which casts a warm glow to our library in the afternoon sun. Happy with purchase and would buy again, especially at 50% off and with free shipping!
