Rated 4 out of 5 by from Product description should be more detailed... Received my blind order two days ago, and the blinds are very nice, the color was exactly what I was looking for.... However, because my windows don't have enough depth to mount the blinds inside, I need to do an outside mount. No problem, I ordered them wide enough to cover the windows and the trim. The valances did not come with returns, so if I decide to keep them, the mounting hardware would be visible. I'll wait until after I put one up to make a decision. As a side note, I sell custom blinds and shades, and ordering returns is something I always do on outside mount blinds/shades.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional Quality & EASY to Install! These are the quality blinds every proud home owner wants to have in their home. I was lucky to have found these on clearance (and during the infamous Spring Sale), but if I had had the money and the promotions weren't going on, I would have still bought these at retail price. I spent well over a year in my new (first) home, using nothing but cheap "temporary" blinds. One room even had a blanket hanging! I have been looking for TRUE QUALITY blinds for a while, but with quality always comes a hefty price... but I again, I got lucky with those sales! I really cannot find any cons about these blinds. If you want quality and you want something that's going to last? These are your blinds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 21/2" Wood Blinds I like the blinds very much, they are easy to install and let in a lot of natural light when open. They are good quality and easy to clean. I like them so much that I bought more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful blinds I purchased these blinds in 36"x84". There were very few blinds available in this length and I sort of lucked into some beautiful blinds in a beautiful color, New Ebony, because of it. Love the color! Love the price. No cons.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great The blinds are very sturdy, easy to put up, and look really great! Got them on clearance and am very pleased!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They add that final WOW! The finished touch was a wow. I made a mistake and the window was about 1 1/2" shorter. Luckily my husband is very handy and fixed my mistake by cutting the bliknds off at the ends that did not show. I learned a valuable lesson. Be sure you measure every window in every room as they are not all the same, necessarily.. But the end is perfect and the blinds are great and beautiful.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not as wide as they say they are. These blinds are 1/2" shorter than they're labeled to be. I ordered three sets of 35" blinds. Every one of them were 34 1/2" wide, even though they are labeled as 35" wide. I had three sets, and all three of them were cut the same. All of them were 1/2" shorter than they were supposed to be. Since my window was exactly 35 1/2" inches from edge to edge, the 35" would have been perfect. It's too bad, because they're really nice blinds, and very pretty.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I would buy these again The blinds are excellent quality. If I was going to be nit-picky, my complaints are these ... 1) The valance doesn't stay on the blinds well. It has fallen off my one blind that moves slightly in the housing because I did an interior mount. This is because the valance literally just hangs there on the top of the blind. 2) The knobby pulls feel a little cheap. I have other wooden blinds from JCPenney that have nicer pulls The pros are 1) The wooden quality of the slats is really nice. 2) I bought New Ebony which is more like taupe or warm gray. I really like the color.

I was told that basswood is the wood used. So I wonder, is it basswood or abachi? And why the big mystery?

Answer:
Yes they can be outside mounted.
However, when I ordered mine, I didn't know that the valance would not have returns. (The return is a side piece that attaches to both sides of the valance, to hide the mounting hardware, and side of the headrail.)

Answer:
I sell custom blinds and shades, and I wouldn't recommend real wood blinds for a bathroom, due to moisture warping the wood.

Answer:
You could cut the width to fit, however, please know that it will void any warranty that comes with the blinds. We do offer custom blinds in the same style (2" versus the 2 1/2" you are looking at), but they will be a little more expensive, since they would be custom made. I have linked them below if you's like to take a look. I hope this helps!
