Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sheets These sheets are a perfect of example of how a higher price does not translate into better quality. These sheets are cotton polyester blend. They are a lighter load on the washing machine and they dry quickly in the dryer, like in 15 minutes. They don't wrinkle like all-cotton, and they are cheaper. They won't fade or wear out like all-cotton. They are cool and smooth on the skin. Back in the day, like the '70s and '80s, this type of sheet was about all you could buy. Now they are a rare find. Don't be fooled by thread counts. Did I say they are cheaper?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrific sheets These sheets remind me of the percale sheets of my childhood. Crisp and smooth as if just removed from the clothes line (anyone remember those?) They come out of the dryer absolutely wrinkle free and ready to use immediately or easily fold to put in the linen closet. They are wonderfully cool when getting into bed this summer, and just like the percale fabric of old, I am sure will be comfortable in the winter as well. The pillow cases are generous in size and easily slip over my plump down pillows. No tugging or scrunching to get them on. I hate fighting too-tight pillow cases. All in all, I feel these sheets are a real find and at a bargain price for the quality. Perhaps I should get another set or two so that I can rotate using them less frequently - would probably lengthen their lifespan to nearly forever! Thanks JCP for an exceptional product. And by the way, I ordered them online with extremely fast delivery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love These Sheets! I bought my first set of these sheets (yellow) almost two years ago. Then I bought the blue ones. Then I bought two of the patterns, and I just ordered a third pattern last week. These sheets feel great to sleep on. They're crisp and cool, yet soft, without being scratchy or stiff. After many washings, they haven't worn thin in spots or pilled. If you take them out of the dryer relatively quickly, there's barely a wrinkle to be seen. These are the only sheets I use now. In the past I had paid a lot more money for so-called better quality sheets which I used once and gave away because I couldn't stand the way they felt or they were a wrinkled mess after the first washing. My only complaint is the color selection. I really wish they made them in some prettier solid colors like a nice lavendar or peach or pink or even some brighter patterns. These sheets are definitely worth investing in!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This sheet set is nice for the price I bought these sheets in gray and have slept on them for 1 week. They are nice for the price. They are not what I would call luxurious but then again they are 300-thread count, not 800. They are soft and comfortable enough. I recently redecorated my bedroom with all white furniture and painted the walls a soft, light aqua. I have a new multi-striped comforter with light aqua, light and dark peach, light lilac and cream in it and I wanted solid-color sheets as my old ones were all printed and didn't coordinate with my new comforter. Not to mention the sheets were all 10 years old so I was due for a new set. The gray bedding looks nice and it washes up well. I just ordered another set in linen. Another plus is the pillow cases are nice and big and I don't have to stuff the pillows down inside them. I would recommend these sheets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GOOD SHEETS FOR GREAT VALUE I first ordered a different brand than these as they were both on sale but the other brand had a higher thread count-the only problem was the other brand had that sateen finish which it did not say in the description & we do NOT like the sateen finish sheets. The JCP brand are a great buy (I bought during the sale), the sheets are the cotton look & feel & the color choices are great. I've already washed them & we are using them. They are comfortable, washed well & I've had them before & know they hold up for a long time. These are perfect sheets for those of us who don't want to spend an enormous amount of money for sheets or aren't in to the super high thread count. We find them soft, comfortable & not heavy-we don't like sheets or blankets that make us hot at night & these don't. The sage color is really nice-I think it looks even better in person than in the picture. I will definitely stock up on these next time they go on sale for all my beds as they are the best buy & have almost any color one would want. I highly recommend these for anyone looking for cotton (not sateen!) sheets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Content I hate buying sheets, these are a decent set without breaking the bank (especially during a sale). Hold up well, fit thick mattress well, haven't had any issue with pilling, and threat count is enough that they feel soft, plus cotton.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Sheets, Good Value These are the closest I can find to the wonderful JCP percale sheets of old. If only I had known that the day would come that you could no longer get the same quality in a reasonably priced sheet set I would have purchased many sets to put away. These sheets are a good value when on sale. They are large enough to cover the bed nicely and the fitted sheet is deep enough to accommodate any thick mattress. I purchased 4 sets because I think that they are a good weight, they are smooth and cool to the touch at night and don't have enough polyester to make you feel sweaty. I plan on purchasing another couple of sets for my daughter, but only when they are on sale. Regular price is just too high. I don't really have any complaints other than they are not the percale of old. I only hope that they will not "pill" like many polyester rich sheets have a tendency to do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much Better Than Higher Priced Sheets I have gone through three sets of expensive sheets in the last year, trying to find ones that were comfortable, wrinkle-resistant, made well, fit my bed, didn't pill, and were affordable. I have finally found all of these qualities in these JC Penney sheets! From the first night we slept on them, both my husband and I commented, "I didn't know sheets could feel so good." We have actually slept better since purchasing them. They are soft, non-scratchy, and non-slippery. Although they are not wrinkle-FREE out of the dryer, they are the most wrinkle-resistant sheets I've bought in several years. They are also made generously to fit even tall pillow-top beds like mine. Even after washing, they still have plenty of fabric to cover my bed. I bought 4 sets of these when they were on sale, and I'm so glad I did! The only reason I didn't give these an "excellent" rating on VALUE is because I think they are a bit high for 300-count sheets (at regular price). If you buy them on sale or with a coupon, points, etc. then they are definitely worth the price. Wash the sheets as directed before making the bed.

Answer:
I don't know if Penney's offers this service, but any embroidery shop could do it with no problem. You shouldn't have any problem finding one in your area. I know that personally I could do it on my home embroidery machine.

Even though I personally do not sew, I have many in my family that do so. And yes, the material would be perfect to monogram. I've had my first set for over 4 years, they wash great, so comfortable, great colors, and last for years.... go for it! :)

I would love to answer you accurately but these sheets were given as part of a Christmas gift to a family, However, I have other Penneys sheets and believe that there would be no difference. They could be placed in the machinery of the fancy sewing machines for any additional decorations.

I would think so but this question should be directed to the manufacturer. They would have more knowledge on whether or not constant stitching would ruin the integrity of the material and cause fraying.

Answer:
My Twin XL mattress is approximately 77 inches long. The fitted sheet fits just fine and could probably snuggly fit another inch or so. There is no shrinkage problem when washed.

I want to buy sheets like I bought from you previously; they say jcpenney on the label and they have elastic anchors on each corner. 60/40 cotton and poly. #f17777 an RN93677. I can't locate them.

Answer:
An elastic anchor is a band that goes across the corners of the fitted sheets that help hold the sheet tight to the bed. The sheets in question actually have two on each corner; a long one and a shorter one set a few inches apart.
