Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just in time for Christmas! My old dishes had seen way better days. Not a piece was without a chip on an eight person set. They were embarrassing. We invited neighbors who had nowhere to go for Christmas over. So, off I went on a hunt for new ones. These arrived the Thursday before Christmas and we have been using them since (Almost 3 weeks). These have already fared better than my previous dishes that were way more expensive and began chipping on first use (not purchased through JCP). We found these in the store and loved them but ordered them online with my coupon I had left at home. We have yet to have any chips or marks appear on the dishes. We use them daily for all 3 meals. They also get washed and put in dishwasher by kids every time. These do not seem to be delicate as my kids are not super gentle. I love the simple design and that food doesn't get stuck in it. I plan on buying another set in another color to go with this set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Casual Dishes with a Classic Look I am so thrilled with these beautiful stoneware dishes!! What a super value for the money and what a great bonus to get a serving platter and a serving bowl. Very generous place settings include large (man-size) salad bowls, medium size bowls suitable for serving "runny" side dishes such as turnip greens, and small bowls which are great for individual condiments. I use mine for pancake syrup and dip my bite of pancakes into the condiment bowl rather than pouring the syrup directly on the pancakes. The coffee mugs are a great size and shape. I truly enjoy drinking my morning coffee out of them. We redid our breakfast room and went from Colonial Williamsburg blue furniture and Heartland Stoneware to a more neutral theme with Oak furniture and crème and beige decor. The tan stoneware is absolutely perfect and looks beautiful displayed in my china hutch in the breakfast room. They are casual dishes with a classic look!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from TERRIBLE - Save your money These plates are not deep enough to hold ANY liquid. The grooves on the edges are like funnels for moving liquid off the plate and onto your table, lap, or floor if you are trying to carry the plate to the sink. Any kind of food that has juice will be a mess with these plates. They also chip and break very easy. I've had them and put up with them for over 2 years now. I'm replacing them as soon as I find what I'm looking for. They give you a lot of pieces for the money; however, all the bowls just take up lots of room in my cabinet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent value with style My husband and I had been looking for a set of dishes for quite some time. We went through several sets of dishes from other stores, but without success. The biggest problem we faced was durability with style. You know what I mean those dishes out there that advertise you can't break them but I always disliked the way they felt and looked. So when the last set of dishes dwindled down to a few it was time to look for a new set. When my husband bought this set I was pleasantly surprised. I am a utilitarian at heart and when I saw how big this set was, at first I thought it might be a waste. I must say, I have used every piece of this set at one time or another. The smaller bowls are great for condiments and organizing baking items when you’re ready to cook. Cups are great for coffee and plenty of cereal bowls, for breakfast. Let's not forget how good looking this set is. Grab this set. You won't be disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from cracked bowls I haven't even had these dishes a year and already a few bowls have cracks in them. Ive also had a plate that chipped after it was cleaned in the dishwasher. While I can deal with utensil marks on the plates and bowls. I can't recommend a product that will not even hold up to a year of use. Having said that, if you can deal with chips and cracks, it is a beautiful set.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love these dishes Happy to finally get my package last week and use them. One dip bowl arrived broken but I was not bothered by that. The dishes are just what I was looking for and needed. The red is not as vibrant as the picture shows online but it's still a lovely color. The coffee mugs are larger than usual but I don't mind.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice color. The dinnerware is strudy and great in color. There were two items which were broken, but they credited those items. They were a great value being on sale, would purchase again. There were many mixed reviews, but I took a chance in purchasing.

Can you put dishes in microwave to heat up food that you put on it?

Asked by: jujubee
I made instant oatmeal and heated up some leftovers and they did just fine. Came out just like they went in.

Is the red a bright red or a darker red like a berry color?

Asked by: Luv2Shop
It is not a bright red (Christmas red) color. I would describe them as cranberry to burgundy.
