Rated 3 out of 5 by Not sure how to rate this We bought this mattress topper which was at first a disappointing experience. It arrived in a way that it looked like a customer return. We ordered a King but I am not what size it was. We spread it out for 2 days but it never expanded full size and some of the crevices from packaging never disappeared. So I contacted customer service and returned it for a replacement. The customer service agent was excellent and easy to work with. An exchange was arranged and the new mattress topper arrived just 2 days later. The packaging looked the same so I guess this is the way the package them - in clear wrap, a black garbage bag, stuffed in a carton. It still has some of the marks from the package (about 2 weeks later) and it is too wide on one side and too short on the other but it is comfortable and we like sleeping on it. So if you can get it on sale for a good price, the item is worth it; full price - I would not buy it. December 30, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Comfort Great quality and comfort but has an odor. Hopefully will pass in time. January 24, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by A happy hard-sell When I ordered this, I was settling for something different than I wanted. I haven't been a fan of memory foam toppers (judging from visits to other people's houses) but I couldn't find a mattress pad that was floofy enough for me that was constructed in a way that would hold up. So I got this instead. And I'm super-happy so far. I didn't have any trouble with it not relaxing out from the shipping bundle or with smell - It only took an hour or so to relax and a few minutes for the very slight odor to dissipate. I've slept GREAT the past few nights I've had it. My only negative comment is that it falls 1" shy of all four edges of my very standard twin mattress - A loss of valuable real estate when dealing with a twin and it looks a little funny. But other than that minor irritant, I'm completely happy with this. And I waited for a sale so I can't complain about the price, either. For those who had trouble with the topper not relaxing, I would say to be sure to pry/force it as open/flat as you can at the start and make sure you have left it in a warm room - If you haven't done both of those things, I could see why you might have a problem. Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Satisfied Since I have a very hard bed, I decided to "over-kill" the situatioin and ordered both the "Comfort Zone Topper" and also the "Down Alternative Pillow Top". Together they vie the best pillow top mattresses I tried ahead of time. I was concerned about the heavy foam rubber smell that several of the other reviews talked about. When I recieved it, I unrolled it and took it straight outside to lay across several lines of the clothes line. Went out once to "fluff" and turn. That night put it on bed and have never noticed an odor from it. Alone it would most likely have done the job well for me, but combined with the Pillow Top.....I can't wait to go to bed at night! Rated 5 out of 5 by Memory Form Topper I ordered this topper to help my back and hips since my mattress was starting to become soft in the middle. I figured it was cheaper to put a topper on the mattress instead of buying another mattress. This topper is a winner. After I let the smell of the mattress air for a couple of days, the mattress was ready to put under my mattress pad. It fit perfect and I had the best nights sleep I've had in weeks. I woke to no back or hip pain. Also, my legs have their strength back. I've ordered my husband a topper now for his mattress to help with his back. It's sometimes hard getting older; but, you can still take care of your health as much as possible. January 26, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Very Disappointed I received this several weeks ago but recently put it on the bed as my son and daughter-in-law were coming. It did not fit the bed of the size I asked for and that it stated. One side was stretched and wrapped so tight that it was like huge scallops which did not change. There was a crease in it that was like a permanent seam. I asked my daughter-in-law how it was. She said you could roll off the sides but it was good in the middle. I asked if they both just migrated to the middle and she said "No, he got up and slept on the floor." Sounds like the floor was more comfortable to sleep on that this memory foam topper. Rated 4 out of 5 by Gets the job done I bought this topper in hopes it would help me sleep better while 7 months pregnant and it has done a decent job. My husband doesn't feel me toss and turn as much and although I don't sleep through the night thanks to Mr. Bladder waking me constantly I did notice more restful sleep than when we didn't have it. It's definitely worth the money. Is it the best? I don't know - I'm not planning on buying other ones to find out, but the price is good and the quality is decent.. If I had one complaint - It would be nice if it came with some type of cover so you don't "stick" to the bare foam. January 25, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by very useful I have used this as a mattress topper and it holds its shape for a long time, and is very comfortable to sleep on. Other uses are for sewing projects, such as making chair back cushions for dining room chairs. The 1 1/2" thick is great for this, if you want to pad wooden back chairs, as I did. I simply took a measurement of the chair back, cut out the foam and covered it with removable covers in order to wash them without washing the foam. So glad that JCP still carries this product. It isn't easy to find. December 12, 2012
