Rated 5 out of 5 by from It is just the right amount of down, so it isn't too warm to sleep under it. I am pleased with everything about this down blanket. It has just the right amount of down fill to not be too warm to use. The two fabrics it's made of go well together; a polyester, satiny edge strip all the way around, and a cotton sheet-like fabric for the main body of the blanket (I think it's 300 thread count). One of the things I like most is that the squares containing the down are sewn together all the way around each one. (We have another down piece without this feature, and the down shifts from the center to the edges, requiring frequent redistribution of the down.) I have a king sized duvet cover which came from JCP years ago, and it fits this blanket perfectly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks nice Nice blanket, but feels a little scratchy even after 4 or more washings, a bit over priced, beautiful color.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Down filled blanket When down comforters are just too warm, this down blanket is the perfect solution. It is perfect for summer when the air is on. It is perfect in fall and spring with the windows open. It even works in the winter. This is well worth the price, especially on sale. My only problem with this order is that it is shipped from the manufacturer. The first shipment I received was a fleece blanket. Definitely had no down in that blanket, and was not what I wanted. When I took it back to the store, the clerk was very helpful about ordering a new blanket, and I received what I wanted in a very short time frame.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great blanket Coming out of the bag this is just what I was looking for. It feels to be of good quality and I like the fact that there are color choices other than just white as most down blankets are. However, I probably would not have purchased it if it were not on sale and I had reward certificates as I feel the full price is a bit high.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This blanket has a very thin layer of down so it is comfortable for fall's cool nights. This blanket has a crinkly finish to the cover. I expected a softer quality material. So far the blanket is just right for the fall nights. May not be warm enough for colder winter nights.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! Perfect lightweight down blanket. My husband and I love our new blanket after years of using "ordinary" blankets made from cotton, fleece, polyester etc; this blanket by far outshines them all and is just the right weight for southern climate. Considering ordering a second for guest bed...it's that good! Definitely feel it was worth the investment!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This product is defective (down feathers leak out). The down feathers leaked out of the blanket starting immediately after use. I am returning the blanket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soft, quiet, just right! Long length, ample feathers, good color, like everything about my new comforter!

covering/casement over down blanket

Do down blankets have a covering or a decorative casement that encompasses them or do you use them in place of a blanket under a bedspread?
Asked by: joanie
I use my as a blanket under a bedspread, but I don't see why you couldn't use it in a duvet cover.

Thread Count?

Hello, I am curious if there is a thread count listing for the cover of this blanket? I do not see one in the description, and some of the comments mention how the outside is a bit scratchy and not soft. Thanks
Asked by: Secr8shopper
I don't recall that a thread count was mentioned. I washed my blanket before first use because I have sensitive skin. The blanket sounds noisier than cotton blankets, but is soft and not scratchy.
