Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best pillow EVER! I have used this pillow for years and there is no other like it. I am so happy they still make them. These pillows always always keep their shape, they are supportive yet bounce back, they are very cool to sleep on (unlike memory foam which is not only very hard but very hot). You can also scrunch them up if you are a stomach sleeper...which I am. This particular pillow is the perfect...not to firm, not too soft. They used to sell them in different firmness, so if you have the choice, do get this exact one. I do have one from some years back that is too firm for me. They have a distinct smell (kind of rubbery) when first opened, but that will go away after a short time. I love the pillow protector that comes with it...lovely. I can't say enough about these pillows and I hope they never stop making them. They are just a little pricey, but then there are no other pillows like them and last years and years and years. I have tried other pillows and don't know why because I ALWAYS GO BACK TO THIS ONE!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pricey but won't use any other pillow I have purchased this pillow in both king and standard. The standard is more dense. I have used the standard sizes of this pillow for years and had the one king just to prop myself up while watching T.V. (doubled up both latex pillows) Well one night I fell asleep with the king latex pillow (remember it is softer than the standard, maybe too soft for some.) Well anyway, I fell asleep with the king latex and realized it bends nicely so I can use it for my head and pull it around in front of me because it is longer and softer. The standard doesn't do that. Now I only use the king and had to buy them for all of our beds. It costs a small fortune to do so but totally worth it! My husband didn't like the latex at first because he was afraid they would be too soft but he won't use anything else ever again. He also prefers the king now and he swore he would only be able to sleep on a firm pillow. Also these pillows last forever and do not lose their shape. I purchase pillow protectors for all of them to extend their life. I don't want husband drool on them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good old fashioned foam pillow My daughter wanted a "bouncy" pillow and after some time going back and forth trying to figure out what she meant by "bouncy", I realized she meant foam. Not the memory foam that holds shape, she wanted the kind that bounces back. Then, after spending a night at a relative's home and sleeping on one of these pillows, I couldn't believe what a great night's sleep and I knew I had to have these pillows. I was a bit disappointed by the price, which I think is high, but I went to my local JCP and bought a king sized pillow for my king bed. Well, not exactly the same quality as the full/queen size pillow. The king size is much less firm and can actually be bent in half. I put a second pillow under it and sleep well. I purchased two for my daughter and she is pleased; these are exactly what she was looking for. They are a bit pricey, even on sale...but if they last more than a year or two and provide a comfy sleep, then that justifies the "investment".

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolute heaven I love this pillow. I'm allergic to so many pillow stuffers. The latex pillows are great for people with allergies.(unless it's latex) The support is just right, not to hard or soft. I would definitely recommend this product. Make sure to catch them on sale. That is the only drawback, the price.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from too big, too firm, too expensive I hate to give bad reviews. This pillow is very well made. It is latex foam, which, in my opinion, is the very best pillow material out there. It has a lovely velour cover that can be removed for washing. I was so happy to find this type of pillow availabe and on sale. It seemed wonderful just out of the package, except for a mild odor which faded in a couple of days. However...the pillow is too thick and hard, holding my neck at a very awkward angle. It seemed soft enough at first but after a few minutes it became very uncomfortabe. It is also queen size. It is labelled standard/queen, and is 18 x 30 inches, making it too long for all my standard cases . It is large, awkward and heavy to move around when you are in bed. It does not come in a softer version. Only firm. It does not come in a smaller version, only larger. A very large person who is a back sleeper woud probably love it. I really wanted to love it but it was just too big and hard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally, a Good Night's Sleep I have all kinds of sleep problems, and have tried quite a few pillows. I love this pillow! It isn't hard as a rock like most memory foam pillows are--they give me a pain in my neck. And other cheaper pillows flatten right out. This is the perfect balance for me. I haven't had it long enough to judge it's durability, but my experience with foam latex pillows in the past is that they last a long time. I've been getting the best sleep I've had in a long, long time. I give it 3 stars for value because I think it is overpriced, even though I bought it on sale.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from NOT FIRM I purchased this pillow online hoping to replace my extremely firm memory foam pillow that is on its last legs. I read that latex foam tends to be more firm than true "memory foam," so I decided to give this pillow a shot. Based on reviews and the description, I assumed this pillow would be FIRM. IT IS NOT. If you are in search of a firm, supportive pillow-- I really mean firm and supportive-- this is not it. Back to JCP it went. Disappointed with the description

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just the right firmness My husband is loving this pillow. He had had neck surgery and he was waking up often to adjust the pillow. He was waking up with neck pain because the pillow he had was not working. It had lost its firmness and he was waking up too many times to put it in shape. This latex pillow has the right firmness. It has a light bounce to it that doesn't let it be too firm. He does not wake up to put it back in shape.

Answer:
What do you mean by 'deep'? They are snug in a regular pillow case, partly because they already have a velour-like cover., so the dimension is a pillow case size. Are you referring to when they lay flat on a bed, how 'thick' are they? I would say at least 3-4 inches.

Hope this helps. They are well worth it!

Answer:
Answering your weight question: Depends on whether King Size or the Queen or Standard size. Not all King sizes are the same in the business either, because "KING" size varies from brand to brand and doesn't have a size standard. I have the King size from JCP which is the largest KING on the market and they are 18 inches wide by 36 long (left to right), but the website makes no mention of the height. I know because I asked a JCP customer service person (on chat) plus I've owned more than one pair of these pillows from them before. The height is 7 inches, instead of some flat 3 inch pillow. And also the latex is not shredded, but one solid form and dense. These JCP brand latex pillow are made using the Talalay process vs. Dunlop so they are not as dense as Dunlop, but extremely close. That is the best I can describe it for you, without weighing it and it's really hard to put a pillow on a scale since so much of it hangs over and doesn't sit on the scale. It weighs less than a cat or a small dog - much less, like maybe 1 pound (1 Lb).

Answer:
Not very much. I do not know the precise weight, but it's minimal -- not much more than a large deluxe type fiber pillow. I do know that latex pillows are less allergenic and provide a more comfortable night sleep for me. I have never used anything else since childhood. Latex foam is not at all like memory foam, which is heavy. Latex foam is the only foam rubber that used to exist. In the old days there were (latex) foam rubber pillows and down pillows. Fiber ones and memory foam did not exist.

Answer:
I have no idea how these pillows are processed....I did buy four sets of these to give to my children and myself and they are wonderful. I have a set that I bought several years back and they are still like new...there is no odor coming from them, if that is a worry.
