Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mixed.... I've used this comforter for over a month and waited to write this. I want to give it 10 stars because I LOVE this comforter SO much! It is the softest, warmest, yet light weight one I've ever owned and I never want to be without one!! It is literally like sleeping in a cloud, no lie!!! I've always gone with down comforters for warmth, but since having a broken ankle, they are now too heavy, so I tried this. Not only is the cover truly "mink like", the sherpa lining is also SO soft and warm! I bought it on sale and the price was right, thus the 5 star for value. HOWEVER.... the same day I put it on the bed, the stitching broke in one spot and it is like a chain stitch and is starting to unravel along the whole comforter!!! I will never be able to wash it, that's for sure. There will be no quilting left! I sleep alone with no animals so there isn't any stress on the comforter. Just seems poorly stitched! I'd love to purchase another to have as a back up, but now I'm afraid!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Comfy but doesn't handle washings When I bought this comforter, I absolutely loved it. It was (and still is) incredibly soft and comfortable. I'm one of those people who has to wash everything before using it, and this was no exception. Trying to drain the excess water out of it was hellish: it went through two spin cycles, and when that didn't work, my mom and I found out what the "max expel" button on the washer did. Everything was fine after the first wash. However, after pulling it out of the washer just recently after being washed for the second time, I was incredibly disappointed. Holes had formed in both the mink and sherpa materials and the stuffing was falling out. I'm so heartbroken, especially since it's an expensive product. I'm going to try to see if I can get a replacement since I haven't even owned it for a full month. I'd recommend with extreme caution when washing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Will Literally Change Your Life Yes, you read the title of this review correctly. This comforter literally changed my life. The warmth that it brings is incredible. If you are sharing it with a partner it makes you want to snuggle closer to them. The wool on one side is amazingly soft. However, the fleece on the opposite side of the comforter is just as soft. The quality of this comforter is amazing. I did not notice how amazing until I saw a cheap imitation fleece in another store a week later. It was nowhere near the quality of the one I bought at J.C. Penny. My wife is a couch potato. So when I saw the comforter in the store I knew it would be perfect for her birthday. Friends and family looked at me like I was crazy when I told them what I had gotten her for a present. They do not know her, it was absolutely perfect for her. On her birthday, I was correct. She loved it and said it was an amazing gift. I was hoping to be able to share it with her at night but she doesn't share. She rolls herself into it so I am left without it. ha, oh well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One Touch Forever In Love It seems everyone has had the same reaction. They put this blanket on display near the counter and as you absent-mindedly brush your hand up against it, you cry out "OMG" . Then you go home but can't put this blanket out of your mind. So you go to the website and order it, and then your kids are upset that you didn't get if for them too and just want to hang out on your bed all day. It feels that wonderful and is so warm and heavy that I'm never ever cold. I loved it too much to give it up in the summer either :) . I just came back to purchase my third blanket, my daughter is out of the country and I'm going to have it brought to her as nothing else compares to this. Just one thing, only dry this on delicate heat and do not allow it to fully dry in the dryer, finish it up just by letting it hang over something. Otherwise the sherpa underside won't stay in like new condition. I hope you all love it as much as we do!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Held up nicely after first wash! After reading reviews, I was very worried about washing it but it needed a wash badly after being used for a good while. I have an average size washer and dryer so I knew I was taking a risk by washing it since it would be a very tight fit for the King size. My washer machine has an agitator in the middle as well. I stuffed this baby in there, put it on gentle cycle with cold water. It washed up nicely. Then I stuffed it in the dryer on Medium-low heat and rotated the comforter on different sides every hour throughout the day. By the time it was dry, it looked new again and I was so happy that it wasn't damaged in the wash. It was a pain to wash so I will continue to use disinfectant spray in between washes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wonderfully soft and warm This comforter is incredibly plush and cozy. The claret red is a beautifully rich shade that is bold, but doesn't overwhelm allowing one to maintain a pretty relaxed feel and look to a room. Initially I thought this comforter would be a tad larger based on the presented image, but I did have the feeling that the photo was taken with a full sized mattress rather than a queen. Even on a queen sized mattress though it is large enough that it looks nice and two people are not constantly playing tug-o-war to keep it covering themselves - though it does help to have a larger sized blanket underneath.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This comforter is so soft and warm. I bought this comforter before Christmas for our guest bedroom. My guests raved about it's softness and warmth. In March I decided to buy another one in a different color for a gift. Would definitely recommend this comforter to anyone who is wanting to create a comfy nights sleep.

Ok in Summer?

Bought this for our RV, which we use in the Spring, Summer, Fall. Is it really too warm to use in hot weather?
Asked by: Sandy
This is a very warm and fairly heavy comforter. For me personally it would be too warm for summer and I'm someone who is always cold.

Does it wash well?

Does it still feel as great after it is washed? Does it pill? or collect lint a lot in the Sherpa?? Thanks
Asked by: LoveN2Shop
I read other reviews that it would get teared up after the wash and the Sherpa would not be puffy anymore. I would suggest to hang it in the backyard and let the sun kill the bacteria.

Does anyone have this comforter in Hunter Green? It looks more like a sage green in the photos but I need a true dark hunter green.

Asked by: Aimee
I bought the Hunter Green and it is a perfect dark green color. Buy it and you will not be disappointed.
