Rated 5 out of 5 by from The New Balloon Wheels ROCK! We got this stroller back when it first came out. We were so excited because of the huge canopy and fact we could use it with our newborn without a car seat. At first it preformed beautifully. We took it to the grocery store, malls, etc... Then one day we took it to the park and ran it across a grassy field. Thereafter, it would pull or just have difficulty turning in general. We had no idea what was going on and we were pretty upset that our $200 stroller would do this. I looked up a few reviews and saw that Joovy had been sending out new wheels to correct this issue. We really didn't think it would fix the problem, but decided to call since we had no other options. It was a gift and we would have been really embarrassed to attempt to return it. I called and spoke to Jake, a very nice gentleman. He assured that Joovy had recognized what was going on and stated that these new wheels that would be 100% better. Still skeptical, we decided to give it a try. I will tell you, it has been WEEKS and this stroller still preforms like a dream! We have taken it through much more rough terrain than before and we're still able maneuver it with ease. Joovy, props to you for correcting this issue and taking ownership of it. I sincerely doubt other companies would been so responsible.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wanted to love it We were so excited to try out this stroller with all of the cool features. Pros: The canopy is amazing and we can complete encase the baby during naps and the seat cushions are comfy. The stroller is very light and easy to fold. Cons: The structure of the stroller is very flimsy. It felt like it may fall apart at any time our first weekend out with it. You could actually shake the handlebar from side to side and feel it shifting on the frame. The flip handlebar parent facing setting was useless as it was impossible to steer. Steering on the regular setting was also difficult. Lastly, the netting for the infant foothold is ripping at the seams after only one weekend of use. For the price, the quality is very disappointingly poor.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not Compact; Not "Universal" Although very lightweight, the Balloon is surprisingly not compact when in the folded position. It *barely* fits in the trunk of our Subaru and does not fit in many standard sedans. Also, we were extremely disappointed that the advertised "universal" car seat adaptor actually only works with certain models from a few brands. It does not work with our Maxi Cosi car seat. Because of these two flaws, our Balloon cannot be used as a stroller to toss in the car for running errands, as we had hoped. We do like that the Balloon is lightweight and the large canopy provides more coverage than most. The reversible handle feature is creative, but as many other reviewers have mentioned, it is hard to steer when in the reversed (baby facing pusher) position. In fact, the stroller is a little difficult for us to push in either position because it definitely is not designed for tall pushers! The handlebar is low and our feet always kick the back wheel bar. An adjustable handlebar and four swiveling/locking wheels would make this stroller significantly more practical. Because this is not our toss-in-the-back stroller for errands, it hasn't gotten a ton of use. We now have a larger, more rugged jogger for long walks (the Bumbleride Indie) and a super compact car seat base for errands (the Maxi Taxi). Despite that we've only gone on fewer than 10 walks with our Balloon, it is already showing some significant wear and tear on the wheels. The foot rest is also difficult to adjust to infant-mode and ours broke on the first use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely love!! I bought this stroller when my granddaughter visits. Best decision ever. I love it and so does she. Love love love the color. And the comfy cushy seat is awesome. The seat lays down flat just like a bed for those naps on the go. And I love the fact that the handle reverses so I can see her face. It's lightweight which is great and the steering and turning is so easy. I will defenitely recommend this stroller to others.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just ok We looked at a lot of strollers. We needed something compact and preferred the light weight. It holds our car seat very well and is easy to fold and unfold. However, I am very disappointed at the way it "drives." The wheels are constantly getting stuck in a turn position and baby gets fussy when he rides in it without the car seat as you can really feel every bump.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!! I have owned several very expensive strollers over the years, and this is by far the best lightweight stroller I have ever used. Unlike the canopy on my last high end, the canopy on the Joovy is no joke!!! It is super padded for comfort and the all-wheel suspension makes it a very smooth ride. My 3 year old even falls asleep in it!! I even use it in front facing mode and it handles beautifully every single time!!! I have recommended this stroller to all of my friends. The hot pink color is absolutely STUNNING!!! We love this stroller!!!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Almost there We have used this product for almost a month now and our 11 month old loves it. The large canopy is great and the bassinet feature is a godsend when he decides it's time for a nap. I like the reversible handle although it's hard to walk normally this way without kicking the wheels. Woke him numerous times after standing on the wheels :-/ It is lightweight and very easy to fold and unfold one handed. I have two issues with this stroller so far. 1. The retaining net for his feet is already starting to tear away from the elastic, 2. The steering is very difficult on smooth surfaces. The wheels refuse to swivel properly and usually get locked sideways for a few seconds before they finally turn. This is annoying and is also causing the front wheels to wear excessively. They seem to work fine on pavement and surfaces with a little more texture to them. I do like this stroller but know when we go to mall that I'm going to be cussing it by the end of the trip. I would recommend this stroller because I like the other great features but bear in mind that you may not be as forgiving as me and the points I have raised may be a deal breaker for you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the Large Canopy As a Joovy Mom, I received this stroller at no cost to facilitate this review. There are a handful of features I consider when determining if a stroller is a good fit for my kids and me - canopy, recline, handle, fold, and storage are the main "make or break" decision determiners. Canopy - The canopy is one of the best and biggest I've seen on the market and it’s wonderful. (Note, if you want a "darkening effect" for naptime, you should probably opt for the black color.) The fabric of both the canopy and seat cushion is similar to, if not the same as, the fabric of the Joovy Too Qool which, looking at the difference in price points, is a really nice feature (it's also easy to clean, BUT it will snag if you have loose jewelry or zippers that get caught in it). Recline - A game changer for this stroller is it's "lifetime." This stroller is able to recline nearly flat, meaning it can be used from birth (at full recline), similarly to a bassinet. This gives the lifetime of this stroller about 5 years (birth - 45 lbs or 44 inches) depending on your child. Handle - The feature I was most looking forward to when I heard about this new stroller was the reversible handle. In theory, it's great. It's not like other strollers where you have to lift up the seat to reverse it; it's just a simple lever on the stroller handle. However, when using "mom-facing mode" as I put it, the stationary back wheels become the front wheels and the swivel wheels become the back wheels. Not really an issue for straight rides in the park, but when you're trying to maneuver tight aisles, it's pretty frustrating. The turning radius is almost non-existent. I reserve this mode for emergency, can't get him to stop crying situations only (just a step before throwing in the stroller towel and just carrying him), which kind of bums me out since I was SO excited about this feature (the reason I’m giving it 4, not 5 stars). Fold – By far the easiest stroller fold I’ve ever done. Just slide the lever on the top of the handle and pull the bottom button in. I do wish it was a little smaller when folded, but the ease of the fold is so convenient, that I don’t really mind the larger folded footprint (it still fits fine in my trunk). Storage - This basket may appear little, but it packs a big punch. After a 4 hour mall trip, my hands remained free. Two shopping bags, a camera, diapers and wipes, 3 coats, and a sippy cup fit just fine!
