At JCPenney, we believe in building strong, vibrant communities by supporting moms and what matters to them most. We do this by investing our time, money and effort into causes and charities that help support her family and her community. We do this by teaming up and supporting organizations that provide resources for her family and through the volunteerism of our passionate and engaged associates across the country. We believe our commitment is worth every penny.

The Y believes in helping kids and families reach their full potential by providing programming that supports youth development, healthy living and social responsibility nationwide. That’s why JCPenney is excited to partner with the Y to support the communities where we live, work and shop. You’ll see this partnership come to life through products that give back, fundraising and exclusive events and experiences in your store and local community.

Across more than 1,000 stores, distribution centers and offices, our more than 100,000 associates actively give back to their communities. In 2015 alone, associates logged more than 13,000 personal volunteer hours in communities nationwide.

Associates who volunteer can earn a James Cash Penney grant, which provides up to $600 in funds to a nonprofit organization of their choice.

JCPenney is honored to stand by the men and women who serve our country. Over the last year, we have hired 1,539 veterans and 903 military spouses. We are also proud to support military families through organizations such as Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Armed Services YMCA and Carry The Load.

In addition to our partners who reach Mom and her family, we support the following causes to help improve the lives of fellow Texans in our hometown of Dallas/Fort Worth: military and veterans, hunger and education, as well as health and welfare.

We are also proud to partner with VolunteerNow to provide more than $1 million in donated products annually to help serve hundreds of nonprofits in North Texas.
