your change create real change
Between deployments and transfer relocations, many military families will not be spending the holidays together or in a place they are used to calling home. Today, more than 3 million men and women are active members of the U.S. Armed Forces and over 2 million children have a parent currently serving our country. Recognizing the many sacrifices they make, we’ve focused our JCPenney Cares efforts this holiday season on helping our military families.
During the month of December, customers will be invited to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar in store or online, or make an individual donation at the register to JCPenney Cares. Contributions to JCPenney Cares will fund programs through the USO (United Services Organization) and Boys and Girls Clubs of America's Military Youth Programs, providing families of the U.S. Armed Forces the vital support they need in handling the unique obstacles that come from being a family in the military.
Committed to lifting the spirits of America’s troops and their families, the USO boasts more than 160 locations in 27 states and 14 countries, which provide a home away from home for our troops along with programs and services that keep them connected to the families they’ve left behind. Through its partnership with the U.S. Armed Forces, the Boys & Girls Clubs of America provide children of military personnel with critical youth development programs and activities. With nearly 500 BGCA-affiliated youth centers on U.S. military installations worldwide, children of active military personnel always have a place to call home.
We hope you'll join us in sharing the holiday spirit this season by supporting our military families.
