by shopper4myfam Great fit for a petite figure
I am very pleased with these pants. I am 5'2'' and 117 lbs. I have trouble finding pants that are not too baggy in the hips. These fit perfectly--they are not too loose or too tight. The short length is just about right for me--they could stand to be a half inch shorter, but they work just fine with heels. With 2 3/4 inch heels they do not drag on the ground.

by Jenks01 product is good, but found a defect
I ordered 3 pair of the Star City Slant Pocket Pants. One of the pair had an obvious defect. There were strings hanging off of most of the seams and during the first wear, they completely split open at one of the seams.
I needed to machine sew most of the seams to be able to make the pants work.

A family member is required to wear black pants for work. After trying on various brands at JCPenney, she decided the Star City Slant Pocket were by far the best fit and most comfortable. Since buying them, have also found that when washed and dried, they are still true to size, haven't faded and don't require ironing.

I had a pair of dress pants I bought from JCP years ago, brand City Streets, that I love, but have seen better days. I searched JCP to see if I could find something similar and found Star City trousers. I ordered two pairs - the charcoal and black. The charcoal fit perfect, are comfortable and fit similar to my original pair. I love the slant pockets, the way they sit lower on the hips and wide flared leg - all perfect for my body type. The black pair I am returning because they seem to run a bit smaller. (I found this to be true of other black pants I have bought, different brand, at JCP) Not sure why. Thinking of buying a second pair of the charcoal.

I have a gray pair of these and love them!! I was so excited to get the black and navy blue ones however they don't fit. They are the same size as my gray ones. I am very disappointed because I wanted for them to come in and now I have to find time to take them back to the store and hope they have a better size. So my suggestion for everyone is to get a bigger size then what you wear because the black and navy fit to small.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Shopaholic584 Great dress pant
I needed a dress pant that wasn't mawmaw-ish and these work great...the come in black, brown and grey and short, average and long too. I have had a problem with other dress pants from jcp with the hem coming out after little use, but I have had these for over a year and wear them heavily and they have stayed put. The color also has not faded (or at least noticeably) which is also a huge plus! I own 2 black and a brown pair. The are light enough that you can wear them in the summer but you don't freeze in the winter. They stretch slightly which is great since my job require a lot of bending and squatting. The pockets are deep enough to actually put stuff in...I just wish the back pockets were real. The have a slight flare at the bottom to give them a youthful appearance but its not a bell bottom by any means and the cotton is soft, not that stiff polyester stuff that plagues the junior dept. They give me a butt, unlike most dress pants and they fit true to size and length.

These slacks met my expectations and I bought for the purpose of wearing to work where I sit for 9 hours a day. They were comfortable and fashionable.

Great fit! Fits me perfectly. Fabric not too bad but could be better. It's a great value and discovered I'm in the junior size
category. I had to buy 2 sizes to find out my correct size and I'm very happy with my purchase. JC Penney online is the best
because they never have my size in my area. Customer Service Pick up in Torrance is efficient, timely and I have no complaints.
