Rated 1 out of 5 by from Water injection nozzle clogs constantly I've used both K475 & K575 brewers for nearly a year, and I have found that closing the lid too quickly causes the water injection nozzle on top to clog. This is apparent because the pumping will slow down and barely any coffee will be produced. The only solution once the nozzle clogs is to take a toothpick and carefully push/scrape the coffee grounds from the injection nozzle. I have to do this once or twice before the machine will begin pumping normally. I can avoid the clogging by closing the lid verrrrry slowly, but I sometimes forget (like first thing in the morning when I'm still sleepy), and I'm rewarded by a clogged nozzle. My fiancee never remembers, so she runs into constant clogs. She hates the clogged nozzle issue so much that she keeps her old K55 brewer on the other kitchen counter and refuses to touch the newer one. The K55 has been moved numerous times over the past several years and keeps pumping out the coffee. The K575 has lived a life of luxury, sitting in one spot for the entire year. The K475 lives at my son's place. The K55 works great, but both the K475 and K575 clog constantly, requiring the "toothpick" cleaning to operate properly. I won't buy another "2.0" Keurig machine. Go with the K55 and forget about the fancy stuff. It isn't worth the hassle.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poorly Designed I bought the K475 a few month ago and my reason was because it had a larger water reservoir and operation would be simpler then my old K55. The appearance was great but their are certain items that I just hate. Here they are: 1/ Lid for water reservoir is too flimsy and has a poor fit. It is difficult to position it correctly. 2/ The reservoir is difficult to position in place after removing it for filling. The retaining tabs do not line up well and this results in seal leaks. 3/ To make a cup it takes twice as long as my old K55. The pumping action in the K475 is too slow. The continues run pump in the K55 is much better. 4/ The drip tray attachment to the unit is also too flimsy. It moves out of place very easily. 5/ Warm-up time is too long compared to the old K55 6/ The filter installation is also too flimsy, leaving the impression that it is not properly installed. 7/ Controls are far to complex and not necessary for just a coffee maker. Bottom line is that I made a mistake by buying K475. Should have stayed with the K55. Keurig K55 with the larger reservoir would be ideal.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not As Good As Previous I had a Special Edition K60 that had essential features and made a great cup of coffee. Unfortunately it seemed the pump was becoming weak and I decided to purchase the K425 Plus. There are a lot of "bells and whistles" so to speak but I don't believe this brewer is nearly as good as the K60 or the earlier classic model. It looks good but the pump sound is annoying and I don't think the coffee is as hot as with the K60. Keurig use to make a good coffee brewer but it seems in an attempt to make the "perfect" brewer, they have forgotten the ultimate purpose is to make a good cup of coffee. As you know with the 2.0 series I am restricted to using only Keurig approved K-cups which is also a disadvantage (reminds me of Apple products). I hope Keurig can find it's roots and develop a good coffee brewer that doesn't sound a West Texas oil rig when it brews a cup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive Multi Functional Machine I had super high hopes for the Keurig K475 and I was not disappointed by any means! First off, my household differs on the use of this machine. My husband prefers coffee, whereas I prefer teas & soups and my teenaged son prefers hot cocoa. The K475 is extremely easy to use and set up, and the function to change the ounces to the specified need is wonderful. Besides the warm drinks, you can also take the teas and turn them cold by putting ice in a cup prior to brewing. Also noted, that the machine is great to make soups and heats up water considerably quickly which is a SCORE! Another great feature of this machine is the fact that the digital menu is simplistic, you're able to change the look of the menu's settings and backdrop (kinda cool), You can also lift the lid and drop it back down so that the Keurig will self clean! Amazing and simple, in all, this machine has allowed me to save a lot of time I would normally have to take to 1) brew coffee and/or 2) clean a coffee pot!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far I love it! My platinum model started acting up after 3 years of daily use, so I had to dispose of it. I also got rid of my mini as I bought it for travel and it was too heavy and annoying to have no water tank. I like the 475's 70 oz water tank, less frequent filling. I did not have to read the manual to set it up. Easy to use. I like how simple it is to set the energy saver options to turn on and off at certain times. Good tasting coffee. Did not come with carafe and that is okay as I like fresh, hot, and a variety of coffee flavors each day. I suppose it would be nice to brew a carafe when company is over, so a nice option. I like the sandy pearl color, it is bright and cheerful looking. Just have had a few days and so far I just love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love my Keurig!!!!! I was given this product for a Christmas present from my son, for I have talked about getting one of these FOR YEARS now. I had always thought that the Keurig was too big for my counter space in my small apartment, so imagine my surprise when I open the box and placed it on the counter... fitted like a glove. I LOVE making coffee in the morning to start my day!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from HORRIBLE!!!!! I read the reviews and saw some of the complaints. I figured that some of those were just bad brewers. I gave it a shot. Now after 2 months I want to pull my hair and gouge my eyes out. I've wasted more cups than I've brewed. Constantly gets the interrupted brew message. I've cleaned the needle more times than I ever did in 6 years with my old one. If I hadn't paid so much for it, I'd throw it away. Do yourself a favor, please, get another model or even another brand. Trust the reviews on whatever you decide. This thing has taken years off of my life and I just want a cup of coffee.

Can I use my regular K cups with this system?

Asked by: punch
Yes you can. I use non Keurig brands as well as the little filter basket thing so I can use my own grounds.
