Rated 4 out of 5 by Beautiful crib All set up this crib met and exceeded my expectations. Absolutely beautiful finish and it just looks classy. My only complaints would be that the finish seems to scratch a little easy and I'm having problems finding the conversion rails for the full size bed. JCPenney's doesn't sell them last I checked and I'm having problems finding a website for the manufacturer. Luckily my dad is pretty hand so I think he could fabricate some. October 17, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Elegant for 1/2 the price Our first child is due at the beginning of April, so we have not used the crib yet.The color is PERFECT (for us) very dark brown/black. The dressers come pre-assembled so all you have to do is put the crib together. My husband is pretty handy, but he said it was pretty easy. We ordered our crib set on 11/21/12 but did not receive it till 1/24/13 due to it being on back order. Customer service was very nice and understanding when i'd call every couple of weeks to see if there was any progress. In the end waiting for this crib set was worth the wait for us. Overall when looking for a crib set like this you will not find anything near the price. Its not perfect put you get what you pay for. I hoping its as durable as it looks. February 9, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Color and Style We ordered the 3 piece set in August for our 1st child to be born in December. The item said in stock online, however, once we purchased it we got a call within the week saying the item was on back order until the end of September. We then received a calling mid September saying it was ready for delivery. The delivery process went great and we are really happy with the 3 piece set overall, especially since color was exactly as described. Crib is very sturdy and was easy to put together, and we love that it will grow with the child as we also bought the conversion rails to turn it into a bed later. The dresser itself is sturdy, although I do wish the drawers were a little more solid. Overall a great product, and really happy with JCP customer service along the way! October 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love, Love, Love!! This product is perfect!! It was very easy to assemble and looks great. I am very happy with this product for my baby girl that's arriving in May. I loved the modern style as soon as I saw it on-line but was worried because a lot of the reviews said it was really dark almost black. This is not true. It is a darker brown espresso but it has some lighter reddish brown tint that lightens it perfectly so its not very dark. It is beautiful and would recommend it!!! February 9, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Extremely disappointed! After doing extensive research, we decided to order this crib trusting in JCP quality. It took two weeks for the crib to be delivered. When we inspected the crib we were extremely disappointed with the quality of the crib. The entire crib is made of particle board and is extremely light weight. The headboard had 3 cracks in it that were not from shipping damage, but rather split during manufacturing due to poor quality wood. We initially set up to have a replacement crib delivered, however we decided we did not want to spend that much money for our our baby to sleep in a poor quality crib. Before the old crib was even picked up, we had purchased, received, and set up a solid wood crib for less money and better quality. It took 2 weeks for the old crib to be picked up and a date for the replacement had not even been determined by that point. We were extremely disappointed in JCP believing that they manufactured and held a standard to represent better quality furniture for the price. October 16, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Solid, Lovely Furniture - Marks easily We bought this furniture - crib, 6 drawer dresser, and tall dresser - late Spring 2013 for our daughter born August 2013. The color is great, matches perfectly to the wood trim in her bedroom. The crib and dressers are sturdy. My only complaint is that the surfaces do knick quite easily (example - I caught the drawer with a plastic hanger and it left a mark). It doesn't bother me as much because I know toddlers aren't exactly gentle so I expected that any furniture we bought wasn't going to stay perfect forever. My daughter definitely used the crib rail to assist with her teething stage (Moms and Dads - definitely invest in rail covers! By the time we realized that was going to be an issue for us, it was too late. Teeth marks everywhere, haha, but that will happen with any crib). We fully intend to use this furniture again for our next child, too. If you want furniture that is going to last to be passed on through generations, this probably isn't the right line to buy. But, if you need furniture to get you through the baby and toddler stages of a few children, this set should be great for you! Sidenote: We had issues with the delivery, particularly the drivers not being able to find our home and being quite rude when they finally did (though, they did carry the boxes up a flight of stairs to our second floor when they realized my husband wasn't home to do it); however, after a call to Customer Service, JCP was super apologetic and instantly refunded our delivery charge. JCP Customer Service was great. April 7, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Decent Crib The crib arrived within 3 days of us ordering it! I was very excited by the speedy service. The crib itself is everything I wanted. I, unlike other reviewers, had no issues with removing the stickers from the crib. It took my husband less than an hour to put the crib together. The color matches the picture on the website perfectly! I've had the crib for a month now and I have not notice any quality issues. After researching multiple cribs and hearing that the wood could be scratched easily, I intentionally tried to damage this crib by hitting it, scratching it with various items around our nursery and it still looks brand new! I would definitely recommend this crib! The price was a little bit more than I wanted to pay, but "you get what you pay for" and I am "so far" very happy with this purchase. October 19, 2011
Rated 2 out of 5 by You don't get what you pay for After thouroughly researching this crib and many others, we decided to experiment with this one even though it had few reviews. We invested our time further to specifically determine what wood materials the crib was made of. After discovering that it was a poplar frame with birch veneers, we were excited to purchase this crib and we promptly ordered it. Upon opening the package everything looked wonderful, but we found out that the wood quality was poor and did not equal the amount of money we had invested in the crib. The wood was too soft and scratches easily, and therefore not what we were looking for. It is a great espresso color that matches what you see online, and the design and style seem amazing, but the crib probably won't stand the test of time. October 14, 2011
