Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Crib; some tips about stickers! Ok, so we got this crib in the cherry color and put it together in about a half hour. Not only is this crib VERY well built, but it really is as gorgeous in real life as it is in the pictures! we had read the many many many complaints about the stickers, so I was well aware of this and did some homework in advance. I took the advice of another reviewer and used a hair dryer on the stickers! It took a bit of patience, but i used the warm setting and little by little just kept peeling, I got all 3 of those huge stickers off in one piece!! Afterward there was still a bit of adhesive residue left over so I took a tiny bit of googone on a papertowel and got that off.. then wiped it very very thoroughly with another dry papertowel, and oila!!! no more stickers, no scraping, and no losing the finish off the furniture.. so my tip? USE HEAT!!! Otherwise, there's no reason to complain about the crib just because of the stickers bc the crib itself is totally gorgeous and what a steal at this price!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Crib, NO CONVERSION RAILS AVAILABLE! I have had this crib for a little over 2 years now. We skipped converting this bed to a toddler bed because my son was just not sleeping good and needed more room. We just jumped to converting this to a full size bed. We couldn't find the conversion rails from JcPennys anywhere. Not even online, even though the above description says conversion rails sold separate. WHERE?? So we ended up buying a metal ugly hollywood frame. My husband had to drill in new holes on the headboard to match the frame. The footboard can not be used at all because the frame we got did not extend far enough to put the footboard on. So now we basically have a headboard on a hollywood frame. I feel it sits lower then I want and even the bed skit is hanging a little on the floor just to hide the metal side rails. OH well it all sounded like a good idea in the beginning to buy a 3 in 1 crib. Its a nice crib and thats about it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid crib for a boy or girl After looking for cribs everywhere that fit my budget as well as good quality, as soon as I found the Tori crib, I knew I had completed my search. All the reviews were wonderful so I bought the crib, dresser, and changing table. The shipping was fast. It took about 1 week to get to the store for me to pick up. To my surprise, when I opened the box, the dresser and changing table were preassembled! I was elated as I had planned on spending my entire day with dowels and screws. They slid right into place, all I had to do was screw in the knobs. The crib had very easy assembly. I did it by myself in under 10 minutes. The actual crib only has 10 screws, the rest are for the different levels of the mattress spring. I'm glad JCP takes into consideration that not all pregnant moms have someone around to help them; my husband was out of town. The pieces look great in the room and the color (espresso) is just beautiful and rich. I read other reviews that people had hard times with stickers. The only stickers I found were on the bottom sides of the crib, very inconspicuous.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Crib! This is a GREAT crib! What great value too. Installation was a breeze, only 5 pieces (There is a toddler rail which makes it 6 pieces total, but that will be installed at a later date). Took me about :45 to put together. All tools needed are supplied. I would however recommend you use your own Allen wrench if you have one handy. The one supplied was very oily and greasy because it was in the same bag as the screws provided making it very slippery. Not a big deal, but after a while it does get quite annoying. I know a lot of people on here were complaining about the stickers being difficult to remove, but I just ignored them. They were all located in the inside of crib, and aren't visible what so ever once crib is installed. There is one sticker located on the right exterior of frame and it is only about 2"x5", nothing to complain about. You can see it in the pic. I will remove later. There was an issue with the cribs footboard, so I contacted JCP, they were super helpful and I am more than satisfied with their level of customer service. I would highly recommend this crib. The quality, finish and design are great. I shopped around online and in stores, this is by far the best deal. Like many said, it is not the ordinary expresso finish, but I knew that going in. I am 100% satisfied with the crib and JCP.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sure it looks great, but . . . The problem with most reviews like this is that they're done before the baby is born (or shortly afterwards#. All you learn about is ease of set up and if the instructions are understandable. What about durability? What about ease of lowering the mattress? What about the ability to convert like we all plan to do, but how many of us do? It's beautiful, we know that. However, I found attaching crib bumpers to be trying on the front side once the mattress was lowered. #Perhaps a different type of bumper or none at all would have been better?# Then, lowering the crib beyond the first level got to be challenging. The way some of the pieces/parts are, just made it a hassle to reach the holes with the Allen wrench. #Same hassle happens when you finally disassemble the crib, too. ) Also what you can't see from the picture is the metal floor of the crib. It tore up our mattress before we knew to be extra careful when changing the sheets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING! I agree with the other reviews about the stickers! BUT I did find the BEST way to get them off with out messing the bed up or getting it sticky. We used a hair dryer to heat up the sticker for a COUPLE SECONDS and peel it off nice and slow and it looked like it was never there!! The box it came in was big, but we were able to wedge it into my SUV. You will probably need a large SUV to pick it up if not delivered. I was debating on getting the cherry or espresso color and ended up getting this one because I read the reviews on the cherry and it said it was really red. But I was worried that this one was too dark...I received it and it was BETTER than what i expected!! And it has a HINT of cherry, like red mahogany this bed is 100% PERFECT!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Affordable & Quality Purchase We ordered the crib in the espresso from JCP online and it arrived in the store in less than a week. It is not as dark as it appears on JC Penny's website, but the color is absolutely gorgeous. We also ordered a glider/ottoman set from their site and the colors match perfectly. I was worried about the stickers after reading all the reviews, but decided to use a reviewers tip and heat the warning stickers with a hair dryer and sure enough they came right off in one piece (there are three that you will want to remove, one of the headboard/crib back & one on each of the sides of the crib). There was still a little residue, but it was easy to clean off. The crib is extremely sturdy and is sure to last for years to come. I would highly recommend this purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bed Rails Conversion Kit The "Tori" Crib is very nice and the finish looks great. One small issue regarding the crib, the finish along the front edges fade quickly from leaning over either putting down or picking up our baby. Major issue for anyone planning to convert this bed into a standard bed using the conversion kit specified in the instructions. The bed is wider than the standard mattress and without any cross members in the design, the mattress falls through. The side rails do not adequately support a standard mattress and a queen side bed is too large. The phone numbers provided with the instructions to the customer service are not helpful since you can never get a real person and no one calls back. The bed design does not support just using the head and foot board with any other bed rail system. Since the bed rail kit does not have any middle support, this is a major design flaw. DO NOT PLAN to convert the crib into a standard bed. It WILL NOT WORK.

Answer:
My neighbor has the Tori in Cherry and when I looked at it, it was very red in appearance. As a result, I purchased the Expresso. I was concerned b/c I didn't want my furniture to look black. However, we were THRILLED with the color of the furniture- a nice rich brown with just a hint of cherry, but definately not too dark at all. It is exactly the color that I mentally pictured and hoped for. hope this helps b/c i had the exact same question

Answer:
This crib allows the mattress to be positioned at 3 different levels, so depending on what level you have the mattress set at the distance will be different. Below is a guide on the distances from the floor to the top of the crib front and from the top of the crib front to the mattress supports.

The height of the front is 34 1/2" measured from the floor to top of the front of the crib
a. Height from floor to Level 3 mattress supports: 15.47" ( Mattress at the highest level )
b. Height from floor to Level 2 mattress supports: 11.69"
c. Height from floor to Level 1 mattress supports: 7.91" ( Mattress at the lowest level )

If measured from top front assembly to mattress, ( from top of baby Crib down to mattress support)
a. Height from top front assembly to level 3 mattress supports: 19.21" ( Mattress at the highest level )
b. Height from top front assembly to level 2 mattress supports: 22.99"
c. Height from top front assembly to level 1 mattress supports: 26.77" ( Mattress at the lowest level )

Hope this helps.
