Rated 3 out of 5 by from great presentation, BUT I like the lift! The 6-Qt metal bowl is difficult to get secure and unsecure. It doesn't have any quantity marks inside the bowl, or, a lid for when you may want to mix night before and bake in morning, or, for when you wait for dough to rise. Nor, does it have a pour design. Also, the 6-Qt Pouring glass bowl with quantities marked and comes with a lid, only comes in a "KIT" with all the same blades that came with my mixer. For a price of over $500, it's a crime for kitchenaide to force a buyer to have to pay $129+ for this bowl and mix blades. I even emailed kitchenaid requesting a place I can get it within the extras and they didn't even reply. It's been 5 business days and a weekend (a week) now. Oh! The base doesn't stay secure when whipping at high speeds. I had to hold it down to finish what I was doing. Very disappointed! I've wanted one of these forever! Rated 2 out of 5 by from very disappointed I bought this a week ago and have made multiple batches of cookies, cup cakes, and mashed potatoes. I have had a kitchenaid mixer for over 40 years and keep upgrading as my family grows. I have loved them as they are dependable workhorses when I get on my marathon cooking and baking holiday marathons. But I just got the 6 qt 575watt mixer and on inspection realized the beater is approx 3/4" from the bottom of the bowl. The beaters, whisk and dough attachment are also significantly smaller. When I beat sugar and butter together it seemed to work well. But when you get to the bottom of the bowl as u r putting cookie dough on pans to cook... there is about 1/4 of a stick of butter sitting where the beater sits above the bowl!! This is despite my scraping the batter numerous times thru prep. My other 3 kitchenaids never did this. The glass bowl is also very very heavy empty! Add the batter and it is too heavy to pick up. I am returning it and will go back to my previous KA mixer

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't Buy I bought what I thought was a quality product (the Model 600 mixer), but I was wrong. While mashing potatoes during Thanksgiving the Planetary (the part that holds the beater to the mixer that spins around) started to off. I called Kitchenaid the day after Thanksgiving and was told that someone would call me. No one did, so I called back 5 days later and was told they did not have my information (poor customer service) but then I was told is was out of warranty. Not happy that it was falling apart (after very little use) but I accepted that, and went to YouTube to figure out how to fix my mixer. I followed the direction, took the mixer apart, and found out that it is a very common defect on the Model 600 mixer. The planetary is "pressed" connected to the main shaft and that "pressed" connection came apart. There are 100s of complaints about this part and Kitchenaid should have correct this issue years ago but has not. So, today I lodge a complaint about this part to Kitchenaid. Their resolve was to suggest that I buy a new one from them. Wow, they should have recalled this part, fixed the issue, and had a happy customer, but they continue to sell a mixer with a defective part. 37 years ago I bought a Sunbeam Chrome mixer for my wife and it still works flawlessly. I will not buy another Kitchenaid.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Nice - but not what I expected After reading reviews and taking months to make my decision to what stand mixer to buy I knew it had to be a KitchenAid. The question then became....which model? I decided that the Professional 600 series 6 quart should do exactly what I needed (pizza dough, large batches of bread dough, heavy cookie dough). Sadly to say, I was disappointed. It seemed to operate much louder then I would expect and work much harder then I thought it would have to. I would recommend this mixer for lighter mixing, but for the small increase of price I would upgrade to the KitchenAid Pro-Line Series 7 quart. That is exactly what I did. I returned the 600 and purchased the Pro-Line. Please don't misunderstand...the 600 is a great stand mixer for the cookie, cake and whipping needs; I would just suggest if your baking is heavy items buy the Pro-Line. Of course there is no question - KitchenAid stand mixers are top of the line no matter what model you purchase. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed A couple of years ago I bought the Professional Series Stand Mixer and I have to say I am rather disappointed. When I purchased this mixer I wasn't aware that the head did not tilt back. While this mixer works well it is hard to scrape the sides of the bowl or add things to the bowl when mixing a batch of cookies for instance. I wish that I could return this for the Artisan mixer but that is not possible. I feel that Kitchenaid should reconstruct this mixer so the head tilts as well as the bowl lifting. I am now switching back to my old mixer that is stored in a box. I originally bought this mixer for the bigger bowl size. I should have just tried to get a bigger bowl for my Artisan mixer instead of purchasing this one. It also has a delay start after switching it on which I don't care for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my KitchenAid Stand Mixer I make 10 different kinds of cookies for Christmas and dozens of each kind. After struggling through this process in 2015 with a hand mixer, I didn't think I'd be able to continue my tradition of baking Christmas Cookies, due to physical conditions with my hands. I decided that I needed a stand mixer, to do the heavy mixing. There was no doubt it would be a KitchAid Stand Mixer. So, mixing Christmas Cookies for 2016 with my KitchenAid Stand Mixer was extremely helpful and spared much pain. It also comes in handy for making pizza dough, and other delights. I love everything about my mixer. The splash guard cuts out the extra job of wiping things down. Because of my KitchenAid Stand Mixer, I am able to continue a Christmas tradition that family and friends look forward to each year. I highly recommend the KitchenAid Pro 600 Series 6 quart bowl-lift Stand Mixer. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Red I replaced a 10 yr old 5 qt lift bowl for a larger 6 qt lift bowl. Already know about KA quality as have many KA products and therefore expect the best performance from the new mixer.. I'm also able to use all the accessories purchased for the 5 qt which is a huge plus. I will be using primarily for bread-making. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best just got better! My wife got me a mixer 24 years ago. I have used it like a crazy man ever since. I love to make cinnamon rolls, so I make a lot of bread. I won't even try if I have to do it by hand. This machine makes it so easy. I made them for carnival time at my kids school. The mixer performed great. I have had other mixers and they were weak, under powerd and poor design. What can I say, this is the best mixer on the market. It dosent matter what the recipe is, it performs perfectly every time. I also love the attachments. They have improved over the years. I never shred cheese by hand anymore. And making noodles out of vegetables has really improved my diet and the looks of my salads. If you want the best mixer on the market, get a Kitchen Aid. You won't be disappointed. It puts fun into cooking.
