2013-12 Thumbs Down! I was a Kitchen-Aid fan but their product quality & warranty dropped to last place. Why? These two scenarios will convince you. I bought a Kitchen-Aid Professional 600 Mixer 3-years ago & used it approx. 1-time per month. Our machine’s gears were stripped mixing dough on speed-2 (Kitchen-aid required speed). Kitchen-aid estimates repair cost to be approximately a fourth of the cost of the machine, I pay shipping each way. This is their PROFESSIONAL model? My 2nd Scenario: My father bought a Kitchen-Aid, home model, 37-years ago, which I still own. I come from a very large family & we used that mixer 20-times per month, making cakes, bread, grinding meat, grating cheese & potatoes. The machine was used on top speeds & on occasion got stuck in dough, or pressure on grater or meat grinder. Never did we strip a gear. The machine has never been repaired. It’s never been in for maintenance. The machine still works! The dough hook runs above speed-2. I do NOT recommend Kitchen-Aid as their quality was left in the past!

I love my mixer. I have another KitchenAid mixer 4.5 qt, but wanted bigger. Wish I could have gotten 7 or 8 qt KitchenAid...maybe will make some day. I do love the added capacity, though. These are durable products. My smaller one was a cast-off from the bakery I worked at. They said it didn't work anymore. I took it home and added food grade grease where needed and put a new cord on it (it had a cloth covered cord, so you know it's been around for awhile!) It makes a bit of noise, but still works wonderfully. That was almost 20 years ago and it is still going strong. I did have to replace a gear ten years ago, but that's all that has been done to that one. I have no doubt this one will last as long; probably 50+ years! Great products, KitchenAid. Kudos to someone who is willing to make something good that will last and is reasonably priced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KitchenArtist I have owned and used KitchenAid mixers for decades because they are the best.
Just moved up to the 600 because I need to make more baked goods and the size of the bowl alone, makes having 2 KitchenAid Mixers very useful for large projects. My other Mixer has been in use since 1990, but this new Professional 600 is a dream to use due to the bowl lift and clean up is easy. Love to cook again. Thanks KitchenAid. & JCP for making the price right.

I love all the features it has I can double my recipes and the motor is strong enough to handle the double batch. I love all the attachments it offers and I don't have to run and get a different kitchen aid to help me do what needs to be done in the kitchen.
When I make my home made rolls I don't kneed the dough I just let the mixer do the work and it turns out well.
It is very nice for the kitchen because I bake and cook a lot and use this mixer at least three or four times a week.

This is an excellent mixer. I previously purchased a 5 qt. model but it was not strong enough for making bread. I think it was a defective model because I know that Kitchen Aid makes quality products. The 6 qt. meets my needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by spiffey I couldn't be happier...
My husband got me this as an early Christmas present and I couldn't be happier!
I have to admit, I've always seen these and kind of wanted one - but never thought I'd use it very much... but on Thanksgiving, I got it and made 3 different kinds of pies (including pie crust) from scratch... cookies, muffins, AND cake... without even breaking a sweat!
I never thought I'd compare a mixer to a car, but that's exactly what it feels like. A brand new car... the quality is THAT apparent.
Mine made a lot of noise when I first started using it - until I realized that I had to snap the bowl into place to make it even, rather than just rest it on the bowl stand.
The only thing I wish is that I didn't wait this long to get it!
Also, thanks for shipping to an APO!!
