Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Nice - but not what I expected After reading reviews and taking months to make my decision to what stand mixer to buy I knew it had to be a KitchenAid. The question then became....which model? I decided that the Professional 600 series 6 quart should do exactly what I needed (pizza dough, large batches of bread dough, heavy cookie dough). Sadly to say, I was disappointed. It seemed to operate much louder then I would expect and work much harder then I thought it would have to. I would recommend this mixer for lighter mixing, but for the small increase of price I would upgrade to the KitchenAid Pro-Line Series 7 quart. That is exactly what I did. I returned the 600 and purchased the Pro-Line. Please don't misunderstand...the 600 is a great stand mixer for the cookie, cake and whipping needs; I would just suggest if your baking is heavy items buy the Pro-Line. Of course there is no question - KitchenAid stand mixers are top of the line no matter what model you purchase. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my KitchenAid Stand Mixer I make 10 different kinds of cookies for Christmas and dozens of each kind. After struggling through this process in 2015 with a hand mixer, I didn't think I'd be able to continue my tradition of baking Christmas Cookies, due to physical conditions with my hands. I decided that I needed a stand mixer, to do the heavy mixing. There was no doubt it would be a KitchAid Stand Mixer. So, mixing Christmas Cookies for 2016 with my KitchenAid Stand Mixer was extremely helpful and spared much pain. It also comes in handy for making pizza dough, and other delights. I love everything about my mixer. The splash guard cuts out the extra job of wiping things down. Because of my KitchenAid Stand Mixer, I am able to continue a Christmas tradition that family and friends look forward to each year. I highly recommend the KitchenAid Pro 600 Series 6 quart bowl-lift Stand Mixer. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Professional Stand Mixer Flat Beater Oxidizes!!!! After owning a KitchenAid stand mixer for more than 40 years my husband decided to purchase a professional KitchenAid stand mixer in September 2016. After reading the reviews today I realize I am not the only one who is having a problem with oxidization of the flat beater. Less than six months into the very expensive $300 plus mixer I am having issues! Why would you change a marketable product after many years of good service? I have emailed: kitchenaid_receipts_usa@kitchenaid.com And I expect my flat beater to be replaced right away. I see all the fancy painted and clear glass bowl mixers on the food shows on the cable network HGTV; however after purchasing my second stand mixer from KitchenAid I am so disappointed I probably will never buy another one! Before you spend your hard earned money; have KitchenAid fix their dilemma with their accessories before you purchase one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beauty Is Only Skin Deep... I purchased this limited edition Professional 620 mixer from Williams Sonoma app four years ago and it is, indeed, gorgeous. At first I thought the high pitched noise was normal as it was a large copper mixer. I have not used it much because of this and I have been reading reviews that say this is NOT normal. It is mostly at lower speeds which are the ones I use most. I have an almost 30 year old 4.5 Qt mixer that is so much quieter and more efficient at cleaning the bowl as well. My old mixer has a nice dull thud when you knock it with your hand; this one has a hollow sound which makes me wonder if this is why the acoustics are so lousy. The new mixer does great with bread dough but I noted the bowl coming off the arms near the end of the mixing time. I do have to scrape the base of the bowl for other types of batters (even with the rubberized paddle). Is there anything that can be done about either of these issues? The mixer is copper and looks great on my counter; however, it is not the "go to" appliance that I had hoped it would be. It is "assembled in the USA," but I am wondering where the parts were made.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from great presentation, BUT I like the lift! The 6-Qt metal bowl is difficult to get secure and unsecure. It doesn't have any quantity marks inside the bowl, or, a lid for when you may want to mix night before and bake in morning, or, for when you wait for dough to rise. Nor, does it have a pour design. Also, the 6-Qt Pouring glass bowl with quantities marked and comes with a lid, only comes in a "KIT" with all the same blades that came with my mixer. For a price of over $500, it's a crime for kitchenaide to force a buyer to have to pay $129+ for this bowl and mix blades. I even emailed kitchenaid requesting a place I can get it within the extras and they didn't even reply. It's been 5 business days and a weekend (a week) now. Oh! The base doesn't stay secure when whipping at high speeds. I had to hold it down to finish what I was doing. Very disappointed! I've wanted one of these forever! Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastic I received this as a gift for Christmas. Cons: Our other cheaper stand mixer did well, and I really had no complaints. This mixer is heavy, so it's a little awkward in my living space because I do not have a kitchen counter. The recipes that come in the little cookbook are not as good as other available recipes. Pros: Totally worth the price for those who want to bake. I can make 3 loaves of banana bread in one bowl! Also, let us not forget cookies. I made so many batches of gingerbread for gingerbread men ornaments. This really helped out because I was able to create a huge batch. Mixes evenly. I still have to scrape the bowl every once and awhile, but the mixing is really good. Cleanup is really easy. I love the bowl protector. It stops flour from going everywhere, so I don't have to clean my entire kitchen each time I want to make something. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My best friend for baking! My mom purchased this a few years ago, I am a hobby cake baker and decorator, so I frequently would "borrow" hers for months at a time. She must have got tired of that because she bought me a gift. Throw all other mixers away because you don't need them. The motor is a powerhouse, taking on whatever I throw at it, even some thick cookie dough and bagel dough. The big beater mixes everything with ease, my cakes have a much better texture when I use the kitchenaid. And let's talk about frosting and cream cheese mints! I can whip up a batch of frosting in 5 mins with hardly any mess thanks to the bowl shield. It has the perfect smooth texture and it beats more air in to the frosting so I can decorate more with less, a great advantage with the rising costs of butter and sugar. Mints are hard to get mixed together, I have ruined 2 food processors over the years because they just couldn't handle the thick stiff dough, but this mixer, start with the beater, then switch to the hook and tada!
