Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wish I could send it back:( I got this as a Christmas gift a year or so ago and it has been a huge disappointment. I was so excited since I have a mixer that's had no issues since I got it in 1991! I can't get the darn thing to work. I've plugged in to different outlets thinking it was the outlet but that wasn't the case. Of all the times we've tried to use this it has maybe worked a total of 5 times and even then it was a struggle. It's like the connection on the lid latch will not connect to get it running. Of course the receipt was lost so I'm stuck with it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from returned I have had great fortune with KitchenAid appliances. I bought this 11 cup processor to replace a 9 cup unit that I have owned for about 10 years and still worked properly. I was very disappointed it only had about 1/3 to 1/2 of the power that my old 9 cup had. It would bog down when shredding cheese or making dough. The exactslice system was great until the teeth on the bottom of the slicing disc collasped. It was at that point that I returned it to the merchant that it was purchased from. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed I paid a lot for this food processor and expected the best from "Kitchen Aid". However I found the parts very cheaply made and and the processor bounces all around on the counter when I use it. I am not happy with this product. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Problems I am sure when I get the replacement in, I will love this food processor. My processor cross threaded and the very first time I used it and I can't get the top on or off! Waiting on the replacement. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best food processor ever! Amazing! I bought this product a few weeks ago because my last several food processors have been quite poor, despite the high-priced tag and the name brand. This processor has exceeded all my expectations! And my old brands, I could not chop damp basil leaves without adding other mixing ingredients. This one will do it in a snap. It will also make smoothies much better than any blender I own. The price seems a little steep for me to begin with and my local store, but I would pay double for this any day. I especially like that the sharp blades and add Other attachments have a separate, lidded box where other attachments have a separate, lidded box where they can be stored to prevent accidental cuts. Please be aware that the blades are sharp! I believe they are sharper than my expensive knife sets and all children should be highly monitored or restricted from using this product to prevent serious damage to fingers.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Powerful but not practical This machine does what it claims....chops, slices, etc. But it is a pain in the butt. If you have a small and quick job like chopping nuts or shredding a few carrots you still have to assemble the four piece lid and then take it apart and wash each piece as they are all exposed to the food. Large Chunks of food even whole mini carrots get stuck under the rim of the lid wasting food product and making cleaning even more tedious. Water gets under the black portion of the lid that never fully dries.....mold? Not cool. Also, carrots stained the clear plastic after the first use, despite using vinegar, dishwasher, hand washing.... I find myself not using it if I need to process just one thing because of the hassle of taking it apart and cleaning the whole thing....which takes way more time than chopping by hand....I feel like if you get this complex food processor you'll also need to invest in a mini food processor with less pieces and cleanup. I want something large capacity but easier to use and clean with less pieces necessary. I don't want to have two food processors!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from stylish AND functional After debating for some time between this and another brand with comparable price and review ratings, I chose this one because of the ExactSlice feature. Supereasy to use and clean, despite the many parts. I also really like the convenient storage caddy that keeps everything organized and in one place in my cabinet. Great product that is as stylish as it is functional (I have the silver one), and it is not ridiculously loud. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet and very efficient This completes my KitchenAid appliance collection and it is every bit as efficient as I hoped that it would be. I was surprised at how quiet it is, given that it accomplishes hard tasks so efficiently. I particularly like the shredding feature, as I want every piece of the food to be the same, with no off-size pieces in the mixture. I love cooking and baking and this appliance meets my need for perfection. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
