Rated 2 out of 5 by from So close, but not quite perfect I bought this to replace a DeLonghi countertop oven I'd loved for years but sadly it died. I so wanted to love this thing. But, two things confound me and I have to believe it was an engineer who's never cooked so much as a pop tart that came up with the idea to 1) not include an interior light and 2) require you to push the Start button when the thing is done preheating. The latter "feature" is killing me. Killing. Me. I want to huck this thing into the street and buy something else (and this puppy wasn't cheap). Every time I use this oven to bake/roast/cook something other than toast, I have to stop what I'm doing or - even worse - hang around the kitchen waiting for the thing to finish preheating to press that everloving Start button, or else the stupid thing shuts off altogether. How this is a "feature" I'll never understand. I have a regular oven that just beeps when it's preheated, and an additional light goes on next to a label that says "Pre-heated." BLAM - preheated - no further involvement required from me. I can choose to put the food into the oven before it's done preheating, or wait until it's preheated - whatever works for me. But with this oven, I suppose it's trying to make sure I am fully aware of the complete 'preheatedness' and am completely cognizant of placing my food into a fully preheated oven with the added step of having to physically press that Start button, otherwise, I could put food into a lukewarm oven and ruin my dinner. KitchenAid, whoever decided this was a good idea should be fired. Last night's dinner actually was almost ruined because it took about 15 minutes for the oven to fully preheat, and I missed pressing that stupid Start button twice because - brace yourselves - I had other things I needed to do (like finish work) and wasn't in the kitchen when the oven finished preheating, so it just turned itself off. I ended up having to stand there, watching it preheat, waiting for it to tell me to "press Start." Hate this thing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE IT! Sleek looking design that fits neatly on the Kitchen counter with room to spare to clear the cabinets above. Controls are easy to use and digital read outs are easy to see. Pre-heats in 6 minutes. Interior designed for easy cleaning as well. Adjustments for frozen foods accommodate for extra time to thaw then bake or roast your item. Using an oven like this wont cook your mac'n cheeze in minutes like a micro wave but with give the finished product a roasty-toasty savory quality not possible wilth a micro wave...worth the wait in my opinion. Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok. I liked the old model better We replaced an older model KitchenAid with this new one. The old model preheated much faster, automatically kicked on to start, and seemed to cook at a hotter temperature. This new one is OK... but it pre heats, then you need to make sure you hit start. Sometimes as long as 5 minutes to preheat. The food (chicken tenders, pizza, fries) does not seem to crisp or brown as well. Like I said, it's ok, we liked our old model better! I will say KitchAid customer service is outstanding! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I wanted an Easy Read While the Kitchen Aid Convection Toaster Oven is a very useful tool, I bought this model because of the digital readout. Unlike the comparable Breville model, is unfortunately difficult to read the settings, which are not digital. The cooks beautifully but I prefer working with the Breville because it is easier to read. In addition, the wire shelf has slipped forward while I was taking out the food, almost dropping the pan. The design needs some work. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressed with user friendly controls. Along with the user friendly controls, is the typical KitchenAid commercial construction. We've only had it for a couple weeks; but so far it has not disappointed. This now makes seven KitchenAid appliances under our roof. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! Got this for a Christmas present and it's the 1st one I ever had. I just love it! Easy to clean and use. The only thing was when it was shipped the pan was bent , even though it was packed well. I am very pleased overall! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful. Perfect Appliance. Quiet and easy to operate in every setting. The oven is large enough for casserole dishes and roasts yet the space taken is minimal. This is a must have in every kitchen where food is important. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from unit okay - flaws - no interior light - tone not loud enough Dark interior - have to have very bright room light to see food or use a flashlight, Needs interior light. The annunciator tone is not loud enough, must be in the room or close by to hear it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

can this be wall mounted

Asked by: ruler
I would think you could make a shelf for the unit with plenty of air space above it, as the heat rises and will trap beneath an obstruction. I haven't seen anything that would allow this to be wall mounted otherwise. It is a counter-top oven.
