Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as good as I hoped I loved this when I first got it as a gift. I have a full espresso bar at home, so am easily excited about new coffee pots for drip coffee. That was just a little over a year ago. I had a KitchenAid coffee pot before this one. Which I did LOVE and lasted me 5+ years. This one started giving me issues a few months back. Started pouring awfully slow. So cleaned it per instructions again.. it would pour...not great but okay enough. Cleaned it as needed and then again today since it was flashing. Now as soon as water is poured in, it just starts pouring out, coffee pot isn't turned on. If the pitcher isn't placed in the proper spot, the water just fills the grounds basket until it is. Things to know. I only use filtered water in my coffee machines. Used proper coffee cleaner as directed. WHEN this works, it's great don't get me wrong. But for a kitchen aid brand, it is pretty disappointing, how poorly it's made and how short lived it was compared to what I had before.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Beautifully designed. Very poor quality. I chose this beautifully designed coffee maker based on the credibility of Kitchen Aid and the unit's stunning design. Not a good judgement call on my behalf given the extraordinarily poor quality demonstrated by this purchase. One week following my purchase, the printing on the control pad buttons wore off. Additionally, the Kitchen Aid logo washed off. Given the quality/product integrity as evidenced by 1-week of limited usage (2 cups per day), I do not expect this high-priced unit to last until 2017. I can overlook the cheap plastic and less-than-perfect problem with water sediment that never dries in the cup level indicator, but logos and control pads washing off is an irresponsible flaw and big check mark against purchasing this coffee maker and Kitchen Aid. Don't buy it. I cannot speak for the rest of this line, yet use your own judgement based on the performance as evidenced by this product in the Kitchen Aid line.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful machine producing medium flavored coffee This is a beautiful looking piece of equipment that is quite aesthetically pleasing in the kitchen. It shares colors and shapes with other KitchenAid appliances that really create a stunning look in the kitchen. Unfortunately, it was a a few quirky aspects. The coffee basket swings left not right. With over 90% of the population being right handed, it makes filling the basket rather awkward for us 'righties'. The second shortcoming are the small poorly labeled 4 buttons that do everything. I often hit the wrong button... thinking that I finally remembered which each was for. And the other physical issue is the definition of a 'cup' is quite small. I have to brew 2 cups for each standard coffee cup. I wish I had done a bit more research on the 'pour over' brewing method that this coffee maker employs. I assumed that I could tweak the grind and/or amount of coffee to get a strong cup of coffee but I only seem to get medium flavored. For the coffee aficionado, a medium flavor would be perfect. I like strong coffee. I recommend this maker as its beautiful and makes a good (not great) cup of coffee. I do wish KitchenAid would price their coffee grinder with the same shape and color that doesn't cost more than the coffee maker itself. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from For the Modern Kitchen First of all, the machine makes good coffee and after all that is the goal. However, I am stunned how the control buttons got through any kind of approval process. They are sleek and stainless steel, but until you get familiar with the functions you can't read what is written on them. I tried shining a small penlight on them and it reflected and made it worse. I agree with others that where you pour the water into the tank is very slim. I have yet to figure out how to keep the AUTO turned on every day -- each night I have to confirm that I want it to come back on the next day....a work in progress. Overall you will NOT GO WRONG buying this coffeemaker, it is very expensive for the pour over feature, but the design won me over. I bought the red and it is a great modern look! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally The Cup Of Coffee I've Craved!!! I bought this last month because it's so dang pretty (and matches my blender), but imagine my amazement and relief when the coffee it brewed tastes the way it's supposed to taste!! The first couple of pots we brewed were interesting because we used the same amount of coffee as we had in the old drip machine, which is wayyyyyyy to much for a machine which brews coffee correctly. Holy moly...we were flying around the house on a delightful caffeine high lol. So, on top of getting a wonderful cup of coffee now, we'll be saving money on coffee purchases! Couldn't be happier with it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 2 out of 5 by from a tad disappointed I've had this coffee maker for about 2 months now. I have always used either a Krups or Braun so this pour over is something new. First off it makes great coffee...but the downsides are: 1. shuts off too soon (after 45 min.), 2. gold mesh coffee filter does not fit the holder, 3. Paper filters don't really fit either (have to use the plastic stem to hold them in place, 4. Can't remove the part that holds the filter section to rinse out, 5. the lettering on the printed buttons is already wearing off. 6. the set up of timer, etc. isn't really user friendly! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrific Coffee Got this as a birthday present from my kids. Best coffee I've had for a long time. Basically, takes me back to when I boiled water and then poured it over the grounds into a cone filter. This does the same thing (cone filters are used), only this is better because it heats the water to the right temperature for the grind and coffee type that you are using. It is a large appliance so check the height, but if it fits under the counter (mine does) it is worth the price. Coffee tastes very fresh! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best home-Brewed Coffeein Years All the features for ease of use....easy to fill reservoir and pour in ALL of the water, non- drip carafe, fill reservoir easy to view....plus the slow-brew delivers rich, clear coffee. Highly recommend the expense after years of plastic-tasting, frustrating cheap coffee makers. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
