Rated 3 out of 5 by from Powerful mixer, but with limitations... I had been dreaming of owning a KA mixer for a long time, mostly due to the KA reputation, but also, my grandma has one and I always loved watching her use it. I finally got one and loved the idea of the pretty glass bowl on this one. I now wish that I would have stuck with the tried and true KA mixer with stainless bowl. This glass bowl and mixer were designed so that the beaters never actually come close to the glass, and that is its downfall. Things never get thouroughly mixed because of this, and I often have to stop the machine and scrape the bowl. There is always flour or other untouched ingredients on the bottom of the bowl. I really feel that, for the price of this mixer, this shouldn't be happening. This is the second of this model that I have had, because the one I originally bought was flawed and KA replaced it. Other than that, this mixer runs great and is beautiful to look at. I would just recommend a different model. Wish I would have checked reviews before my purchase. Rated 2 out of 5 by from Makes me sad to say this but it's TERRIBLE!!! I bought this for myself in December 2013. I was soooooo excited! I have had this mixer for almost 3 years now and I'm sad to say that I almost NEVER use it. Why do I skip over this Beautiful mixer? Because of the glass bowl. It's TERRIBLE!!! It is soo heavy and it's a pain to wash. I went through 3 bowls in the first 6 months because the rubber, around the bowl rips. I can see grime behind the rubber, the mixer attachments don't reach the bottom of the bowl and the bowl is just too darn heavy. I am soo darn disappointed. I keep hoping that they will come out with a better, lighter bowl (that isn't glass.) I spoke to a wonderful customer service person within the first 6 month's of my purchase and told her my concerns but I never heard back from customer service. I feel stuck. This was an investment for me but sadly, it was not a good one. Still hoping that one day they will come out with a better, lighter bowl so that mixes all the way to the bottom so that I can use the darn thing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not what I anticipated I received the Pro 600 in black for Christmas and was thrilled! I immediately nicknamed it my "kitchen harley". However, after using about 4 trimes now, I am not happy. It is simply too big and spatula doesn't reach anywhere near the bottom. I can't beat eggs or cream sugar and butter cuz the amounts are too small for the spatula to reach either the bottom or sides. I use to use my 5 quart daily; I am now using my hand mixer instead of this beast because it does a better job. I don't really want to give it a bad rating, because if you are mixing a triple to 5 times the recipe, it would work fine (I quadruple my dog biscuit recipe and this beast does a fine job). I should have heeded the word "Pro". Simply too big for home use. Heavy, heavy, heavy. I could like my old 5 quart; I keep this one on a mat and slide. The glass bowl is difficult to clean because it is so heavy. At least make a spatula that would reach the food! Then it would be doable for home use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So disappointed... I got this as a wedding gift through my registry and was so excited when I received it. After just one use, I'm utterly disappointed. I made pizza dough, which I have made dozens of times in my old 5 quart model, but the paddle had trouble incorporating the flour from the side of the bowl. I had to stop multiple times to scrape the sides with a spatula. Next up, the dough hook was too far from the sides of the bowl to ever pick up the dough onto the hook. It just made a circular indent in the middle and spun around inside of it, never really kneading the dough. I was ready to pull out my old mixer, but oops! I already sold it because my new pro model was gonna be so amazing! Yeah right... After reading similar reviews online, looks like I've got to spend close to $100 to get the right bowls and attachments to make it work as it should. What a joke.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Extremely Disappointed I got this kitchen aid as a gift for Christmas. Just opened it and tried to make a chiffon cake. It couldn't even beat 7 egg whites properly in the glass bowl. The beater just doesnt reach the bottom even after adjustment. It beat the top of the egg whites but egg whites at the bottom of the bowl were not beaten at all they were still liquid. I was so happy to receive this as a gift and now I'm not sure what all the hype is all about. If I have to mix everything by hand I will try to return this to the store. So disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Second time is the charm This particular model is a replacement for me. It works beautifully!! All of my ingredients are mixed perfectly and to my surprise I do not have to scrape the bowl down often. I made enough chocolate chip cookie dough for 7.5 dozen cookies with no problems. ***I recommend calling in to speak with a customer service rep. The individual that helped me was very knowledgeable and quickly took care of my problem.*** [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed!!!!!! I bought this after owning a 4 1/2 qt tilt Kitchenaid that was great but wearing out. It arrived and it looked great. I went to make waffles that night and was going to whip up some egg whites. Much to my dismay, it can't even whip the whites. The attachments don't even come close to whip anything like egg whites or even whip creme. Bad design, I wish I had my old one back instead of the "Professional Model". Rated 2 out of 5 by from Slightly Disappointed Ever since I was a little girl, I have dreamed of the day where I would get my own stand mixer. That day finally came May 2016 when I got married. While I love my mixer, I am disappointed in it. Often times when I go to use it, I turn it on the 1st speed and nothing happens. I then have to move the level back to 0 then try again. The second try generally works. I have also been disappointed in the fact that the paddle attachment and whisk do not reach all the way to the bottom as I am used to them doing with my Mother's old mixer. I then tried to go buy the rubber spatula attachment and the 6qt one is way too big. So, I traded it in for the 5qt one. I test fitted the 5qt attachment and it seemed to be the correct one. Tonight I tried making cookies with the spatula attachment and was sorely disappointed. The Spatula attachment is even shorter than the provided paddle! Because I have already thrown away the packaging and receipt (as I purchased it weeks ago) I am now stuck with an attachment that does not work properly. Please, please, please make a rubber scraper attachment to fit this model.
