Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not what I expected. I was hoping to get a pair of jeans similar to ones I purchased a year or 2 ago, but these were very different, however, I really like the color I bought: Verona. They are basically a very-dark blue. I wanted a jean that looked a little more dressy and this fit the bill. They were a lot more STRETCHY than I had hoped for, but have a really great fit, probably because I chose relaxed fit. They did not have a lot of extra fabric like some loose fit: very nice. They are not as thick as traditional jeans and with the stretch in the fabric they are extremely comfortable: could almost wear them to bed. The main problem is they are WAY too long, but the site didn't have a medium length option: would have been better. The leg flows fairly straight, so hemming them shouldn't be a huge issue. The fabric is soft and not too thick to sew if you are able. I would buy these again if they came in a different length or were at a better price. I will have to see how they wear. I generally keep my jeans for a few years.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Essentially Pajama Pants! Lee should have come out with a new line instead of changing the one they had. I'm tall (6') and have faithfully ordered these jeans for years, as they are the only ones that are long enough, with just enough stretch in the leg, yet still had tummy support. This new style, though colored pretty, is horrible. Legs are too tight, and there is NO tummy support. They've made them so comfortable, that you feel uncomfortable wearing them in public. Plus, the waist stretches and stretches during the course of the day and starts to roll down at the waist. I'm just sick over this. Now I'll have to find another brand.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The design has changed I have been wearing Lee jeans exclusively for years. One of my pairs began to wear out, so I decided to replace them. Unfortunately, it seems that Lee has decided to change the very features I appreciated about their relaxed fit jeans. They used to fit well, but now they are tight in the thighs and loose in the waste. If I could manage to get them on, I would not be able to sit down without giving everyone a show (not something I'm interested in doing). Needless to say, I am very disappointed that I will now need to find some other brand/model of jeans to wear. I know it was not this particular pair of jeans because I tried purchasing another pair elsewhere and had the same problems. I wish Lee would go back to their original design for their women's relaxed fit jeans.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Fit Wish the rise was a little higher on these jeans. They are great wearing and very comfortable. Best I've found yet, but would still like a real high rise. There are those of us who still like the old fashioned jeans.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bring Back 100% Cotton! When I first tried these on, I thought I'd found my dream jeans. They fit perfectly in the waist, hips and thighs and felt great. Then, I wore them. About 3 hours into the day at work, I was looking through my desk for a safety pin or a paper clip or anything which I could use to hold them tighter at the waist. I ended up having to use a binder clip to hold the waist pulled tighter to keep them from falling down below my hips. Never in my life have I had a pair of jeans stretch out like these did. By the time I got home, I looked like I was wearing clown pants. They're 98% cotton/2% spandex. I don't know what spandex they used, but it's like an old rubber band which stretches and doesn't snap back. I went home, washed them and put them in the dryer. I never machine dry my jeans, but these I wanted to shrink! I'm wearing them again today with slightly better success. They did shrink some and I'm also wearing a belt today but they're still stretching like an old rubber band. I'll only be able to wear these with a tunic or long sweater which falls way below the hips in order to hide the saggy, baggy butt look.
Date published: 2016-02-03
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the color I bought and the stretchy material. I bought the Verona in petite. The only thing I didn't like about them is that they were a little too short. They came down to my ankle and they rest a little too low across my butt. They rest at the waist but seem to dip across my butt. But I love the color. That's one thing I like about Lee jeans the Verona color. It's a nice shade of deep blue. They can be dressed up or down. And I love the stretchy material; they are very comfortable. I would still recommend these to a friend. Just be ware of the length in the Verona petite.
Date published: 2016-10-27
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Black Fabric Rough with Chemical Smell I wanted black jeans. These are indeed relaxed and in the long sizes the leg seems closer to a bootcut than in the regular sizes. If you are 5'5" or above you might prefer long. The waist is high. The fabric in either "Black" or "Black1" (they appear to be the same fabric and color) is rough to the touch and ordinary. It has an unpleasant chemical smell. Nothing polished about these jeans. They look like something you would do yard work in and only for that do I recommend them.
Date published: 2016-10-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from great feel and fit I loved the fit and feel and value. Also appreciate the coupons that JC Penny sends out as I really like to shop with coupons. Also the fit and feel and look are very clean and comfortable. I like shopping JC Penney for the selection and ease of trying items on prior to purchasing them. Shopping for the entire family especially now with Christmas coming. My husband is also hard to fit and it is great to have more of a variety of jeans and pants that have the 29 inch inseam.

Answer:
Dark but not super-dark. They look good immediately. BUT they are no longer relaxed at the waist, just relaxed and that is a very big difference. I can't even shrink them enough to wear. I've been a 14S in Lee jeans for years. I don't know what to do with them now.

Answer:
I personally have only purchased the Lee Relaxed Fit Jeans in black. I would only be able to offer a guess at what the dark blue denim may be - I would say between a deep medium blue and black. Sorry, that's the best I can do. However, let me pass this on to you. Lee has completely re-done their style of this jean. The material has a lot more stretch in the material, especially in the waist, so if you're really active, the waist has a tendency to stretch out more so than they did in prior jeans. The length in this new style is quite a bit longer. I'm 5' 3" and the regular length in this jean is a good 2" to 3" longer, even with a 1" heel on my shoes, so the back is just touching the ground in the back. I wish they would go back to a little more cotton in the jeans. The black fades in the wash after about 4 or 5 times through the washing machine, but all in all, I'm a Lee's girl and I love their fit. Hope this helps.

Answer:
They are a dark blue with a somewhat washed out look. They are ok, but not my favorite, and I am afraid they will not retain the dark crisp look that I prefer. I think there was a darker shade available also, and the next time I order, I will go for the darker color. I really like the fit though.

Answer:
Dark but not what I'd call SUPER dark. But let me comment on the size. A size 14S relaxed fit is totally different than the 14S relaxed at the waist that I've worn for years. I've even tried to shrink the blue and the black jeans but no luck. They are just too big, hanging at the crotch.

I am 5'6" and tried the black jeans in regular and long. Both seem shorter than specified. I think the so-called long are only 31", not 33". I kept the long and they are just below my ankle bone. However, you seem to like your pants short, and it's hard to advise you.

Not sure. I am 5'4" and they are way too long, so they might work for you. They hang nicely and are fairly thin. I bought the Verona which are a very dark blue and the quality is nice: more dressy than some jeans and they are very comfortable. I bought them in a size 14.
