Rated 5 out of 5 by Overall Great Pants - until my last order! Over the years, these have been my favorite pants. But my last order, a pair of twill side elastic pants, split apart between the inner and outer belt area across the front. These were only worn/washed 3 times. Very disappointed. June 6, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for work or play! I started a new job as a bank teller and needed some dressier pants. These are a little on the business casual side, but I can dress them up with a nice blouse, dress flats and some jewelry and look quite nice. I also wear a belt to dress them up, even though I don't need one as far as fit is concerned. These pants are very comfortable, even for a nine hour day. The twill fabric is a wee bit on the heavy side for summer, but luckily I work in an air conditioned office. I bought these online, which is usually a no-no for me, as I can be hard to fit. These pants fit extremely well, however, and I'm very happy with my purchase. My main problem is that my waist is small compared to my hips, and usually I end up with a huge gap at my waist. The elastic sides help with that and they fit perfectly at both the waist and the hips. I have a shorter inseam as well, and the length on these is perfect. SO, if you are taller at all, check the measurements on the inseam and take it into account. You may very well need a long. But for me they work great, and fit well in the hips, waist and length, and I like the tapered legs. I purchased these in black, navy and khaki, so I have a pair to go with every blouse in my wardrobe. Since I don't wear jackets or blazers I don't feel the need to buy dressier (and more uncomfortable!) pants. I'm thinking about buying the one other color that Lee offers, and I just wish that they offered more colors. An offering in gray might be nice. June 26, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by One of the few pairs of pants available that don't sag. I buy these because they tend to sit nicely at the waist. They are comfortable and are great for work. June 6, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product has great features. The black stretch-denim fabric practically guarantees a better fit. The side-elastic feature is a must and a godsend for someone, like myself, whose waist is considerably smaller than hips, butt, thighs. I ordered it in Petite Short, a perfect length for me.Tailoring costs would have been prohibitive. These jeans launder very well, especially if you follow the directions provided. My only disappointment is that the Indigo Blue and Pepper Stone Blue colors were not available in the stretch denim fabric, only "regular" denim. Rated 5 out of 5 by These were exactly what I was looking for. I wanted something that was loose, but not baggy and these jeans fit the bill totally. I do not like the tight fitting legs that are all the fashion. They are for young ladies. I am in my 70's and need comfort. They also fit well at the waist with no crunching of the stomach. I ordered the relaxed fit, size 16, and they were perfect. I see some of the comments about them being so wrinkled coming out of the dryer. I hung mine up to dry, smoothing out the wrinkles, (which were not bad). I had a very nice crisp pair of jeans that I love to wear with no ironing. April 20, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Pants Easy fit around the waist. They do need to be touched up with an iron if you like a crisp look - which I don't care about. Nice fit. True to color. May 5, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Runs small I would order a size up as these pants run small. Not true to size! Thank goodness there is no hassle on returns. May 5, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect Fit for Difficult-to-Fit Shape! These are amazing slacks--they are a perfect fit: no gapping at the waist and full enough around the hips. The fabric is a nice medium weight and takes a nice crease with a steam iron, for a slightly dressier look. I will be buying more of this style soon. April 28, 2016

Answer:
Petite pants are just regular pants for petite women. Petite short pants are cut to be shorter, such as Capris.

Answer:
I've always worn petite pants, they have a 28" inseam which is perfect for me. I would guess the petite short would be somewhat shorter but I'm not sure by how much. You would have to see what the inseam length is.

Petite short pants to me would be like peddle pushers in the old days -halfway up the calf.

Answer:
The indigo are not heavy, but fairly stiff.
The black ones are medium-heavy, of very soft material.
These are the two I have ordered recently.
I had size 14's from several years ago, and the present-day 12's seem to be just as big as the old 14's.
