Rated 4 out of 5 by Verified Reviewer Great unit
We have had this fridge for about 7 months now and I'm impressed with the overall design. It's intelligently laid out - definitely the best fridge I've owned to date.
We have noted a few downsides:
-The door in door feature requires a real effort to latch so it frequently gets left open a crack (especially with kids) dismissing any energy savings you might realize.
- I REALLY miss the roll out shelves in the fridge compared to my old design.
-The separate water and ice activators confuse the heck out of most people and they typically spray water all over the floor when going for ice for the first time. Maybe some better labeling could fix that.
-We have had an issue with this unit freezing the water in the ice supply tubing rendering the ice maker useless. They have had to replace the door under warranty to fix it. I am hoping this was an isolated incident and not endemic to this LG model. If it is I hope LG will own up to it. Time will tell.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mosgoo Overall good features
As much as I love the size of the refrigerator, I am disappointed that it does not have a small deli-meat/cheese drawer. I DO LOVE THE VERY LARGE MEAT/VEGETABLE BINS. A small under the shelf drawer would be perfect. The shelves on the doors are narrow and do not accommodate regular size jars. I am disappointed that the shelves inside the fridge have fixed supports where you really cant adjust the shelves to accommodate tall bottles - thus forcing you to store the tall items (like wine bottles in the door-in-door feature - which is not a bad thing - but we have few tall bottles and don't really want them stored in the door-in-door. The shelves on the door are not adjustable and are a little too tall - thus making it difficult to put the juice bottle in and its a tight squeeze where the bottle top rubs along the bottom of the shelf directly above it. Rated 5 out of 5 by dorajane Better than I expected
I just received my new LG refrigerator and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and features. I had not seen it before purchase except the printouts and a similar LG in the storeroom. This has reinforced bins and shelves that look very sturdy compared to others I reviewed. It has a sleek clean look. The size is perfect. It fits exactly into my space and the doors open without requiring extra width.
The swing door on the freezer works well and the pull out basket is solid, not wire so nothing falls through.
I am pleased with features such as the digital read out on the top bar which has the temperature settings, and is capable of trouble shooting over a telephone with the product service department through built in software. Amazing feature. There is a lot of room both in the cooling department and the freezer and the location of the shelves is so convenient. The lighting in another model with LED lights was poor, not lighting the back. This one is brightly lit well located lights.
The motor is so quiet, I can't tell when it runs.
Overall I couldn't be happier.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Wiser buyer Nice refrigerator but has a problem
We bought this refrigerator 3 months ago. It was the only one that would fit into our space. It has many great features and very nice appearance. But it is noisy. The dealer came to the house to inspect it and said this was typical of the compressor in this refrigerator. It can be heard in other rooms of the house and vibrates through our wood floors so it can be heard on other floors of the house. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by Adamwdsk Missing temperature readout..dumb!
Just installed this refrigerator so I do not yet have much to go on. But one thing is missing. When you open the door there is a "Control Pad" that allows you to set the desired temperature for the refrigerator. This is fine and convenient (although I am not sure why I would change it from 37 degrees for refrig and 0 for the freezer.). But missing is a readout of the actual temperature. So how can someone know whether or not the freezer is at the required temperature..or the refrig? I cannot help but think that some marketing guru decided that they should save this "very valuable feature" for a higher priced model. Do I now have to go out and buy a freezer and refrig thermometer? The information is all there in the computer. The digital readout would cost a few penny to add if that. Poor going LG. Rated 4 out of 5 by LCH5 Our new LG Refrigerator
After investigation we chose the LG Model LDC24370SW Refrigerator. The wife wanted a unit with the refrigerator up and freezer down. This Frig also fit the bill because we had space considerations.
We had some difficulty getting the Frig after purchase due to weather and the store did not have the Frig in stock although they said they did at purchase.
Further difficulty occurred at delivery, the delivery company had a terrible time moving the Frig from their truck to the Kitchen and damaged the Frig. The seller has worked with us to get the damage resolved.
We did not foresee the water filter taking so much room and the Frig sits a little further out in the room than we wanted.
Overall we are glad we bought this LG Refrigerator.
We are presently waiting for our new door to arrive which will fix the last damage.

Rated 4 out of 5 by rbassh Really beautiful refridgerator
We have been enjoying our door in door fridge for about 5 weeks. It is a beautiful addition to our kitchen and so far the stainless steel front is easy to take care of. The door in door feature is really handy and we use it a lot. The led lighting is also terrific. The unit is very quiet and the ice maker works perfectly. I have had to adjust the right door height twice now and I notice it sagging a little again. The in door ice maker leaves lots of room in the freezer and we are pleased with the configuration of the freezer shelving. The refer side needs more space for tall items and even with the adjustable shelves we are going to have to get used to shorter heights than we had in our last fridge. Moreover this is a really nice unit and we look forward to many years of use.
