Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best First Suit Ever!!! I have never purchased a suit before nor have I ever written a review before. I spent 4 hours at the mall trying on jackets and suits and did not find one that fit. I came home discouraged and googled women's suits. This jacket came up. I was very nervous but I figured I could just return it. I ordered it online based on all the reviews. I also got the matching skirt. This suit fit PERFECTLY!! I ordered this suit in a size 8 and it fit to every curve I have. I do not look like a man in this suit either lol. I have very broad shoulders and a butt. This suit accommodates both!! Thank you to everyone that wrote a review and guided me to Liz Claiborne products!! At the store I wanted to buy this suit in every color! To help out with measurements: I have a 36 bust 28 waist and 38 hips I am 5'7 I weigh 165 lbs. I hope this review helps you decide to buy this suit! :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful, but wish it were slightly longer Fabric, style, sizing, quality of construction are perfect, and this jacket would be a great deal at the full price. I returned it, however, because it was shorter than I hoped. I was looking for lower hip length (on me, 18 Tall, 5'10", that is ~29-30 inches). I measured this at 27.5. it would be very helpful if JP Penney would consistently list the length of garments on the description.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice jacket, runs large This is a very nice jacket, great styling and material. However, it runs pretty large. I am 5'10" , back waist length of 19 1/2", and a size 18 or XLTall in Liz Claiborne sizes.I ordered this jacket in 18Tall. Its sleeves go past my wrists onto mid-point of my hands. The shoulders also seem larger than usual as well as it's total length being extra long on me. It's just too big all over. I will return it and try a size 16 because I really like the style and the fabric. You might want to order down a size in this garment.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I had such high hopes when I saw this came in a Tall I ordered a 14 Tall as well as a 16 Tall figuring one just had to fit. FYI - I am 5'9" and 148 lbs. So I'm on the smaller side of tall, but certainly not a regular size. I don't understand how these jackets would fit anyone taller than me. First, the shoulders were too small in both sizes!! The 14 Tall could have been longer, but the shoulders were way too small and the waist and hips were really kind of large, the 16 Tall length was good for me, but once again the shoulders were still too small and the waist was huge and hips were huge and the sleeve length was 2 inches too long. As far as the style, it really needed two buttons. Unfortunately my search goes on as these just did not fit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Jacket This is a very well-made jacket. I wish it would have fit. I'm an average size: Bust: 36, Waist: 28, Hips: 38. I ordered the both the size 4 and size 6. Neither fit. Both were much too large. The size 4 (which was the smallest size) was probably, in my opinion, at least a size too large. I hope this helps with your ordering.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Surprise! This jacket is perfect! Nicely tailored with slender lapels and besom pockets. The jacket length is very nice - it covers the rear view and the material drapes nicely. The color is beautiful Heather Gray and is cool and comfortable - even in summer in Miami, FL! I bought the navy and the black jackets as well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from For long torso only, sleeves still short I returned this jacket. The length appeared longer, but the sleeves were still short. I could tell before even trying it on! I still would recommend giving this jacket a try for others because it looked nice and good price. I was just misled with the "tall" description. If a person is tall, "normally" the arms are longer, too, so they should have considered this. I will have to go elsewhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect jacket I have this jacket in several colors, and I just love it. It is dressy enough to wear with the coordinating slacks or skirts for court appearances, but it is not real stiff and overly-constructed so I can also throw it on over a dress and it looks good that way, too. The fabric is a very nice quality and texture. The only thing I don't like is that there is only one button and it's placed rather high for my liking. It results in the area below the button kind of gaping open. Since I always have to have the sleeves on my jackets shortened, however, I have had my tailor add another buttonhole below and use the extra button that comes with the jacket, so it works out fine.

Dry clean or wash?
The instructions say to dry clean this blazer, but I see many people have been machine washing it. Are they all talking about the same blazer? Thank you.

Answer:
I wash in warm, cool rinse and dry in the dryer but pull out as soon as it's done so it doesn't wrinkle. You can always try on delicate the first time to make sure it's okay.

It says you can launder it, but I would dry clean it, just because ironing isn't my favorite thing to do.

Answer:
This is odd because I have the same blazer that you're talking about and the tag on the jacket says machine wash, tumble dry. I haven't done that yet, but it is confusing because you're right, the description of this jacket online does say dry clean only. I can only tell you that the tag on my jacket does say it is machine washable. Hope this helps.

Answer:
I have a sz 14 in regular and tall. The 14reg is 26" long in center back and the sleeves are 34" measured from center back, over the shoulder and down to wrist. The 14tall is 27" long and sleeves are 35". The tall sz 14 is an inch longer in both than the regular sz 14. I hope this helps.

You will be disappointed. I am 5'.8" height, size 10 and the sleeve length is really long - past my watch/wrist. It also covers 3/4 of your bum (if that's a concern).

Some part of a suit jacket and suit skirt has a small thread to be removed prior to wearing. I am wondering if that is the case with the interior pocket on this jacket. Does anyone know?

Answers

Answer:
It is just temporarily sewn shut. If you separate the seam a little bit, you can cut the thread and it'll open right up. They do the same thing on the outside pockets of the jacket and on the pockets of the pants. It's to keep them lying flat. They're meant to be cut open when you buy them but sometimes they're sewn shut pretty tightly.

Answer:
This jacket has two pockets. One on either side. They are besom pockets, which aren't fully functional pockets. These pockets have reinforced piping along the slit of the pocket, appearing as an extra piece of fabric or stitching.
