Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally found skinny jeans! I searched high and low for a pair of skinny jeans that fit and were flattering. I am 5'6", wear a size 14 pant and am curvy. I literally tried dozens of styles and brands and had all but given up hope and resigned myself to the fact that skinny jeans are just not for my shape. Every pair I tried looked terrible-I mean truly awful. Then I found these jeans. They are perfect! I tried on a 14 and a 16 and ultimately went with the 16. The 14 did fit, but I was concerned about them shrinking and they were just a tad more snug than I wanted. I have washed and dried them and did not notice any significant shrinking. I purchased them in black and am contemplating also getting the zinc (dark denim). The fit of the leg and ankle is between a skin tight jegging and a straight leg so it is not a super skinny calf/ankle. The rise is slightly below the waist, but not low rise, and there is a little bit of stretch. These look so cute tucked into tall boots, rolled with booties or sandals, and straight with flats. These jeans are so comfortable and very flattering. I love that the back pockets sit a little lower and are not tiny. Most of the other brands/styles I tried had smaller pockets and/or pockets that sit too far up which is not flattering for someone who is not not slender or has more curves.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Too skinny for a size 6 I usually wear a Liz size 6 - waist 27, hips 38. The black size 6 was like wearing leggings with muffin top. The size 8 was more reasonable but I did not like how far if came down from the waist and although stretchy, how tight they are on the legs. My Levi skinny jeans which are low on the hip like this one are a lot more comfortable on the legs. Don't know yet if I will keep these. I am getting tired of pulling the back of jeans up after they stretch out on top. I do like that the black is a deep black and they are light weight - not exactly the typical heavy weight jean cotton. Being lightweight they would be more comfy on warmer days. But anyway, I don't know how these got a review of running larger unless it was another color.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Manniquin jeans These jeans are very low cut in the waist and straight up and down. If you are 80 lbs and shaped like a store mannequin, these are the jeans for you. If you are a normal human being, keep looking. Needless to say, I sent them back. FYI, the jeans I kept were Levis midrise skinny and Lee easy fit skinny. Both come in a nice dark blue color that is not pre faded and both are long enough for me. My legs are not long enough to need a long, but too long for most medium/regular length jeans. The Levis and Lee jeans also were not too skinny on the lower leg so I can easily get my foot through it and they don't look like they were painted on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great fitting jeans Ordered these online jeans based on size - of course that is kind of taking a chance that they may not fit, but these fit great. So true to size. Comfortable to wear and the black color is really black (not the faded looking "charcoal gray" of some black jeans). One warning - if you like your "skinny" jeans really tight at the ankle - these are not. The bottoms are narrow, but wide enough to go over a small boot. they do not taper all the way to the ankle bone - that is fine with me - but others may not like it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Skinny Leg Black Jean I have purchased many pair of these jeans and would only note that the fabric on these is slightly more stretchy than a regular denim. In fact I may have even gone down one more size in this material.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fit! Fits great and color holds up in the wash. These are a little long for ankle boots for me, but will fit great with flats, I;m 5'4" 145 lbs and ordered a size 10.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I am 5'1" & they were TOO short I was disappointed in the quality and fit. I did order the "short", but these were too short. I have several pairs of Liz Clairborne cords & even 1 pair jeans. I also didn't notice this pair was "mid-rise" which is not a favorite of mine. The exterior top-stitching was poor quality; my other pair without top-stitching are much more attractive. Obviously, I returned these for a refund,

What is the difference between a misses short and a petite.

I know petite is 29 inch length and a petite short is 27 inch length but I'm not sure of the length of misses short.
Asked by: tmadam
Petite fits better in all areas, not just the lenght
