Rated 3 out of 5 by Far too big I ordered the 14T but the actual measurement around the waist band was 38 inches so much too large. I won't return as the postage to/from Australia would not be worthwhile. I loved the colour and style but very large sizing. Need to find a friend who needs an 18T as this is who it would fit. I would recommend but make sure that smaller size was ordered. January 28, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Jeans have odd styling I have several pairs of Liz Claiborne jeans size 2 P (I'm 5'1" and weigh 100 lbs.) that fit great and are well-made so felt confident when I ordered these in the same size. Sadly these jeans fit like tights and are very long with a little 'flare' over my shoes! What a disappointment - I returned them. July 11, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product has quality and style I have found that these jeans wear well....both the fabric and the shape. I have been choosing them for 3 years. I always wash jeans wrong side out in cold water. June 3, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great fit The fit of this jean is true to size. The material is soft to the touch. color did not fade when washed. This was a second purchase of this jean. I bought my first pair in store. Liked it so much. Wanted another. May 18, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice jeans, but a little snug in the legs I really like these jeans, but the legs felt a little snug - more like leggings or super-skinnies. Thankfully they have stretch and are comfortable once they have been worn a little while. They fit a little below my natural waist, but not so low that they are uncomfortable. April 8, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great petite jeans! I'm 4'11", and these are some of the only jeans I can find that fit off the rack. March 30, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Had an odd fit. Fit more like a pair of leggings as opposed to true jeans. I returned these to the store. March 30, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Very straight legs These run large especially around the waist & hips and the legs were snug. I was not impressed with the fit of these jeans and returned them. March 23, 2016

I am having difficulty deciding which type of Liz Claiborne jeans to order because I cannot find any definitions and product reviews are not helping. This is the first time I have considered these jeans and any information is appreciated.

Answer:
I just returned a pair of the Liz Claiborne classic-fit straight leg jeans. These were suppose to be a tapered waist, regular fit in hips *not snug or baggy* and straight leg * hug your legs to the ankles; *the old style define of Classic fit". When I tried on, they were more like a size 20 in waist & hips instead of the 16 I ordered. The straight leg fit was the only thing the felt right with the jeans. The misses length is very long in these jeans. I had purchased a pair because of the 90/10 cotton Jean and these didn't have all the elastic. A city fit: lowest rise. Sits just above hip. Fitted through hip, with a straight leg. This fit reminds me of the old low waisted hip huggers with a flare leg. If considering LC Classic fit straight leg I would try these on in a store before purchase to get a good fit.

Answer:
It is my understanding that the "city fit" is more of a skinny jean with a bit lower rise just above the hip. The classic fit sits more at the natural waist. I absolutely love these jeans in the classic fit.

Answer:
I think "classic fit" means they are not low riding jeans and come to the waist.

Answer:
They are about up to my waist. They are not "mom jeans." They are slimming, nice looking. I returned the 10L for an 8L.

Answer:
I like both of those fits as long as they are straight legs. I do not like boot cut. I think the classic fit sits a little lower on your waist and the City fit is exactly on your waist. I hope I don't have that backwards. I am 65 and don't go at all with the leggin style or the flared legs.

Answer:
On the tighter fitting side on the legs. Roomy on the butt. I felt like I was very much in style with comfort.

Answer:
Classic fit generally means that that they are not a tight straight leg jean and not a big flared jean. They have a straight leg without being tight on the calf and ankle. They can be worn with a boot or without and still look great.

Answer:
I don't really know what they mean by those terms either, but these jeans in dark rinse color are great because you can dress them up or down and would look great with flats and a blazer or a nice blouse and could be worn out to a nice dinner, or around town doing errands. They have slim legs and are very neat/clean appearing. I'm really happy with my purchase of these jeans. I ended up buying 4 pairs so I could put two away for when the two I'm wearing wear out. These are great jeans and you will not regret buying them, except the narrow straight leg looks silly with regular sneakers so now I have "nice jeans" but now I need "nice shoes".

Answer:
I'm not sure whether they're "Classic fit" or "city fit", etc. The fit is good What I don't like is the dye that's in them. They've been washed three times and the dye still comes off on my skin. NOT GOOD!
