Rated 5 out of 5 by from My second pair! I bought my first pair at Work N Gear. I loved them! Plenty of room in the toe and very comfortable, right out of the box. They stopped carrying them so I ordered another pair online. I hate ordering online because I have to return stuff when it's not what I expect but I really love the first pair so I know I'll be okay with this order. I absolutely recommend these boots. They last well and there is no breakin discomfort. Great job with this boot. Also, I like the composite toe, which does not get cold like steel toes. My stay warm and protected.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Halifax 8.0 boots don't hold up I was quite disappointed with my Magnum Halifax 8.0 boots. The first time I put them on the pull loop on the left boot ripped out, I wasn't so concerned about that as the boots were still usable, But after just a couple months of limited use the liner in the back of both heel cups has worn through or ripped, exposing the plastic insert...These boots were fairly comfortable, but they did not last....I see the 8.0 version, which I have, are no longer available, maybe it was a common thing with the 8.0 boots?....I had always heard good things about Magnum boots...Maybe the rest of their boots are good...these certainly were not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very comfortable I have owned these for about 6 weeks and they have been fantastic. After I broke them in they were the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. Before I would look to forward to getting home from work to take my boots off, but now I dont even notice they are there and wear them until I go to bed. My other boots left my feet aching and every step hurt, which is why I needed new boots. The jobsite had a flood and these were truly waterproof and kept me dry. However, the glue in some spots has come undone, but they were still waterproof when it came unglued so I'm not worried about it. I will probably use shoo goo to fix it. One of the leather straps on the back came off partly, which is a nuisance since it really helps to put them on. Overall, best boot I've ever worn. Great traction and they fit great after breaking them in. I bought mine on Amazon and saved a lot of money that way, so I can't get really any better for what I paid! I will use magnum boots as long as they keep up the high quality products for the rest of my life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a Treasure The name "Halifax 6.0" has been a bit of a hard name to remember, but it is also a boot I will never forget. While filming a TV show in the Elkhorn mountain range for two seasons I had 2 pairs of boots. One pair was assigned to me while mining for gold. The other was my Halifax 6.0 boots that I wanted to wear. I would put these on after filming and take off into the surrounding mountains on treasure hunts of my own. They are sturdy, lightweight, and the puncture resistant sole saved me from many a rusty nail and metal shard while excavating sites (as you can see in my picture of me in an old fallen cabin). I highly recommend them for their overall design and durability as well as the Vibram slip resistant sole. If you are a thrill seeking, mountain climbing treasure hunting soul, then these are the boots for you.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from My New Magnum Boots My Magnum boots I got these over a month ago. Boots not bad they fit some what good. But I already see problems in side the back of the heel there is a sewing seam you have to wear thick soaks not to feel it on the back of your heel and have it rub you raw. Next had to replace the shoe string with thinner ones. Could not get it tight enough foot kelp moving around in side boot. I wear a 10 D my other boots are a 10 D I order 10D. Last is the leather hoop strap in the back the right boot it has already come undo. Good thing is that I only spent like $85.00 for them right from Magnum on a super sale from $200.00 to $149.00 then an extra 25% off. Not bad for the sale.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Halifax 6.0 CT I am 63 years old and do steel construction with 8 to 10 hours a day walking and heavy lifting on concrete. I have had a very hard time finding boots that will not make the souls of my feet sore during, or at the end of my day. The weight of the boots is a huge factor and these boots are just the right weight. My old boots weighed in at 36oz and that is a huge difference to 28oz. Right out of the box they feel very comfortable with a very short break in period. As for longevity that remains to be seen, but with the way they are crafted I can tell they will last quite well. You can't go wrong with these boots. I highly recommend these for the quality and the price.
