Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Great product This is a wonderful product. Babies love the colors and sounds. It is engaging and I highly recommend. I would ignore the negative comment left by the person who could not find where to put the batteries. Its very easy to find. Hopefully he asks someone to show him at the store.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from Cute Toy The activity cube is very cute and the noises get the attention of your baby. I also could not find where to put the batteries and was about to return it. There is a velcro panel on the bottom that is hidden very well. So good for play but not great for the parent looking for the batteries. Now that I have found the battery compartment, my baby is much more interested in the cube.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Musical farmyard cube The product looks to be a very good toy however, on removing it from the box there is no place to install batteries. The bottom of the box says to install two aaa batteries but not where. The web site says to install three aaa batteries. This toy will be returned for a refund.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from One of our son's favorite toys Our (at the time, 5 month old) son received this as a Christmas gift. As parents, our first reaction was that it didn't seem to be that educational or entertaining. However, this quickly became one of our son's favorite toys. He loves the crinkly sounds from the flower on top and likes to see himself in the mirror. He also plays with the handle and the things sticking out of the sides, and likes to use the teether hanging off of the one side of the cube. The cube is soft enough that if/when he drops it, it doesn't make much of a sound, so we take it along to a lot of places where we want him to stay quiet. He has not figured out how to push the buttons for the sounds yet, so it being our "quiet toy" will probably change in the future. We have a love/hate relationship with the sounds. On one hand, if our son is being fussy, we can push a button and the sounds will entertain him and calm him down. However, the sounds are also very long and loud and are very annoying to hear over and over again. (This is why we rated this 4 stars and not 5.) Luckily, the buttons in the sheep and duck are extremely hard to push, even for us. Overall, I would say this is a stimulating toy for kids starting around 5 months. Our son is now 8 months old and has not yet become bored with it. Despite the annoying sounds, we would recommend it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Music didn't work and had stains My review is not for the use of the product because it does look like it would be fun for a 6 month old baby, but for the state it arrived in. The first thing I noticed was a stain on one of the animal's faces (looked like peanut butter). Then when I took it out, I realized that none of the music worked. I was hoping to give this as a present and now won't be able to get a new one in time. I love Melissa and Doug products and this was the first time I was truly disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Great for 3-6 Month Old Our daughter really enjoyed playing with this soft block when she was between 3 - 6 months old. The animals all make sounds accompanied by music. It's a little strange that the lamb sort of sounds like it's being killed - reminded us of Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho shower scene. But, this led to us referring to it as the Murder Mystery Block. The story begins, "All was well down on the farm..."

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from The buttons get lost inside the cube :-( I bought this for my 6 month old son about 2 months ago. The buttons for the cow and sheep doesn't work anymore. It somehow managed to get lost inside the cube and it seems that there is no way to fix it unless I tear the cube on the side, repositioning the buttons and sewing it together again. Such a cute toy but the quality isn't that good.
