Rated 4 out of 5 by from My 3-almost-4-year-old LOVES this!! We bought this item to commemorate my 3-almost-4-year-old's first real train ride that we took during our family vacation. We have been home for 2.5 weeks now, and he has played with this nearly EVERY DAY! I like the apron (vs. overalls), as this makes the outfit more adjustable with age and growth. In fact, my skinny-waisted 12-year-old can wear the apron, too. It would have been nice if the hat had an adjustable velcro band in the back of it instead of a 1" strip of elastic, but it should function properly for 3-6 year-olds. The hand-held radio plays train sounds, which my youngest son loves. Although it is a tad on the loud side and the volume cannot be adjusted. But we took 2 small strips of black vinyl electrical tape and placed it over the sound holes, and it dampers the sound sufficiently without taking away from the aesthetics of the device. Another accessory that comes with the outfit is a plastic card that has a train schedule on one side, and a train ticket on the reverse. While my son likes this card, he wished he had more of them. So my 8-year-old son made more "tickets" for him. :) Overall, though, my family is very pleased with the product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Already have superhero costumes, needed more for role play. Really appreciate the low volume of the walkie-talkie (train engineer) and the bullhorn (fireman). They're audible to the child but not to the rest of the house!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Walkie Talkie died in five minutes The walkie talkie on this is a piece of junk. It stopped working after five minutes.
