Rated 5 out of 5 by from My 89yr. Mom loves it! My 89 year old mother mentioned raising either the head or foot of her king sized bed four inches with lumber under the legs! She sometimes has a reflux problem and her hair dresser gave her advice that she obviously did not quite remember. After some online research I settled on the JCP version of the wedge because of so many favorable reviews. It wa delivered to my house so I set it in the open air for a few days before giving it to Mom. She never mentioned any odor. I don't remember being bothered by any smell when opening the packaging. The gist of the whole thing is that she absolutely loves it. She tells others how great it is. She thinks it is so comfortable and gives her better nights sleep; and no more night time reflux. While it was here, I layed on the floor with it and it was so comfortable I was semi-hoping she would reject it and it would be "mine all mine". By the way she is a tiny little lady and even with a contoured neck pillow on top of the wedge, it is still not too high for her.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Some pros and cons It seems like the pillow is too hard for memory foam. It's not super uncomfortable; I'm still using it after about a week. It's just not as soft as I expected. I have a memory foam mattress pad on my bed and with the wedge pillow it feels like the upper half of my body is sleeping on a much harder surface than the lower half. On the plus side, I don't slip off it at all, like a couple other reviewers experienced. I am a stomach sleeper but have been trying to sleep on my side or back because of reflux. This has helped with that. Also, I did not experience any unpleasant smells, fortunately. Overall, I am glad I bought the product but not 100% sure how long I will keep using this. It's helping with the problem (reflux), but my back feels more sore. I can't tell if that's from the pillow or just from my job! I think this might not be as good for people who like a fairly soft bed. I am not sure if I just need to "break it in" more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just What I Needed I have asthma issues and need to be propped up while sleeping. Using pillows for that purpose doesn't work well as it causes my neck to sit at an unhealthy angle which causes pain. I was looking for something that would prop me up at a better angle, and not just my head but my upper body as well. This did the trick! I am so glad to have found it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The memory foam is great! I first got the regular foam wedge, but it was so hard. I then order the memory foam, it was MUCH BETTER ! I would recommend the memory foam wedge, but not the regular foam wedge. I ended up returning the regualr foam wedge.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed! I've been using foam wedges for a number of years and thought this memory foam would be a nice change. It feels great to lay on but in a short period of time I was flat on my back, totally defeating the purpose of the wedge. I knew memory foam conformed to your shape, but didn't expect it to flatten like this. If you want an incline, this isn't the one for you

Rated 5 out of 5 by from wedge incliner I have not been able to sleep on my back for more than 1 hour for the last 10 or twelve years, only on my side. well after 2 complete hip replacements; no more sides. In the hospitol experimenting with the adjustible bed I found a 6 hour sleepable position. The wedge 71/2" lift to my back was the cure. Worth 10 times the price. Best regards.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wedge Pillow Helps with Nighttime Comfort I bought this pillow w/ the expectation it would help me have a more restful, comfortable sleep. My mattress is beginning to show signs of wear, and with the back problems that I have (arthritis and lumbar injury), I need something to give better support. This wedge pillow definitely helps provide support and comfort to my back. I wish now that I had a larger, longer foam piece to extend down my hips, legs, etc! But the wedge, together w/ two or three of my puffy pillows behind my head/the wedge, makes sleep much more restful. This wedge is economically priced and is worth the money -- it works just as I expected and hoped it would.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Memory Foam Wedge After reading other reviews I decided to purchase the memory foam wedge rather then the foam wedge. It was the right decision. Thanks to the other reviewers. I have acid reflex and my husband snores, we still need additional pillows and we have a king size bed so I will be ordering another wedge to fit completely across the bed. I would suggest the same to others that have king-sized beds. This was a great purchase.

Thickness of memory foam?

Is this wedge entirely made of memory foam, or is it a memory foam layer topping "regular" foam? If the latter, how thick is the memory foam layer? Also, in what country is the pillow manufactured? Thanks.
