by CampinGrandma Top hems frayed out after 2-4 washings
I've been a long-time fan of ladies' Gold Toe socks and was delighted to see them offered for men. What a disappointment when 4 of 12 socks came unstitched at the top hem when washed. They were purchased in June of 2013.

Great socks at a good price. I like the extra thick cushioning around the heel. I wear my socks around the house. I like the new colors. These socks, only, used to come in black, and white. Lots of strings, and fluff to cut off at first wash. Denim includes three colors, light to dark blue.

I like these socks. They are a bit high on my calf for my height but th elasticity makes them stay whee they belong. I wear a size 9.5D shoe and they fit very well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by mikholl Liked the old blend better
Probably OK during the winter months, but this blend seems to have less cotton and more cushioning on the sole than before -- too warm for me to wear in the summertime....... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by Scentree Same high quality I've experienced for decades.
Have used Gold Toe white crew socks for many, many years. Have compared them with other brands and always prefer Gold Toe. I recently decided I wanted more colored crew socks and why not try Gold Toe. I ordered 12 pairs and am just as happy with the quality (and price) as I have always been with the white crew socks. Rated 1 out of 5 by nothanks Size is a problem
These socks were sized as 10 - 13. That's all you can get. They have one size 15 or so they say but it was unavailable. My shoes are size 9 1/2. These socks were tight the moment I got them. I put them on, right out of the package, never washed and they were still so tight that they left a compression around my leg which cut off circulation. Size 10 - 13 is a lie. They were tight on my 9 1/2 foot. I cannot imagine what they would look like on an actual size 12 or 13 foot. Do not buy these socks unless you're buying for a child.
