Rated 3 out of 5 by mlusgt Loose buttons
As with all other posts about this coat, the buttons start to come loose after the first use!
Other than that, it is a good coat. It is warm and looks good too. Just be warned that you will need to fix the buttons right after you wear the coat or risk loosing a button.

Rated 5 out of 5 by FaireMaiden PERFECT... almost!
My husband is 6' and usually weighs-in at 200#. He wears a SIZE 44 in suits. However, he's gained about 10#, so, after reading the Reviews that stated this Top Coat ran a little large, I decided to get him the 44 hoping that his weight-gain would take up any slack. It did! I'm so glad I didn't Size-down as others have recommended.
I also got him this Coat in the REGULAR-length. It hits him above his knees, but not mid-thigh by any stretch... really, it's a perfect length for a coat of this type.
As to the SLEEVES... he always wears a 44-Long in Suit Jackets and Sport Coats. I guess his arms are longer than average. However, the SLEEVES on this Top Coat are even longer than that! We'll have to have them altered but, with the Sale price, the Doorbusters discount, and my JCP Rewards, I got a smokin' deal on the Coat which totally justifies any alterations.
I got him the CAMEL colour, and it's gorgeous... very richly saturated.
The Coat is fully LINED, #lovely!#, the BUTTONS snuggly sewn on, and the overall appearance very dapper. When he put it on, #he's used to more rugged outerwear, like down jackets and such#, he looked in the mirror and said, 'Hey, this is classy!' *lol* I'm seriously considering getting him one in the Navy colour... it's THAT nice of a Coat.
Keep the SIZING in mind when ordering. If you want a more snuggly-fitted Coat, go down a Size. If you want a little looser fit to accommodate weight-gain, bulky sweaters, or suit jackets, then, order your regular Size. Do not, under any circumstances, go up a Size... the Coat will be way too big.

I purchased this coat for my husband who does not like to go shopping. It wasn't available for store pick up, so I had to pay for shipping. I received it fairly quickly - much sooner than expected. The coat was well made and the wool was so soft. I bought the same size as the suits my husband wears, but this coat was huge on him. The sleeves were way too long and the coat overall was too large. I returned it to my local store and got a refund. I checked the store and they had the same coat in the next smaller size. I purchased it, but when my husband tried it on it was too small. I am not sure what the problem is, the smaller coat fit him snugly. I really think that the larger one was made wrong or miss sized. I ended up taking that coat back for a refund also. I was really disappointed because it really was a nice coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Blargleblaggo Size Down For Slim Fit
Dropping down one size will take this from "Classic" to "Slim" fit, and still give you enough room to get a reasonable jacket underneath. The cut is very slimming and sleek, which gives the coat a very formal or businesslike look.
The coat isn't heavy enough to serve as your only layer, but over a heavy sweater, sportcoat, or suit, you should be warm enough for most climates, provided you bring a scarf.
Material is soft and fairly lightweight, which is good for a coat of this length. The lining is very smooth and slick, so it's easy to get on/off over another jacket.
The interior scarf pocket is a nice touch.
One caveat- the exterior pockets are basted shut, and one of the pockets on my coat were not properly basted, which caused the lining to separate from the material. An easy repair, but still a QC issue.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TXShopper1234 Nice coat with a flaw
The coat looks very nice and does well in winter weather to keep you warm. Mind you that it's been in the 20s lately, and I feel very comfortable outside in it. The issue I have with it is the sewing on the buttons. The top button threads came loose after two weeks. I sewed it back on just to have the middle one come loose a week later. I can tell the bottom is on its way to becoming loose while I was sewing the middle one. Poor job at securing the other end of the thread. I was lucky to have caught it before I lost a button. If you don't mind having buttons resewn after purchasing, it's a good buy. I hoped to buy another, but they can't seem to keep 38S in stock so it looks like I'll be buying from another vendor.

Great buy for the money. Well made. Delivered on time. If I have any complaint at all, it would be that the sleeves are slightly too long. From what I understand the sleeves should cover the wrist and graze the hands. You shouldn’t be able to see any shirt cloth. This coat is about one half inch longer than that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kneeknee VERY nice topcoat!
My son wanted one of these coats so when I saw it on sale in the store for less than on JCP.com, plus XX% off and my reward points, I jumped at the opportunity! I purchased a regular for his 6'3" height and the sleeves and length were perfect. I also had to order a size up (44 instead of 42) because it was a little tight under the arms with his suit jacket on. The charcoal is a very masculine color that won't show pet hair as much. Absoutely no quality control issues on it. Highly recommend this coat.
