Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not All White Dress Shirts Are Equal I feel impelled to write this review because I have been so impressed by the Stafford Travel White Dress Shirts for men. My young son, who has terrible perspiration, is required to wear white dress shirts for his job. I have spent countless hours soaking and scrubbing his "other brand" dress shirt collars, cuffs, underarms and forearms with Dawn Dish Detergent because it is the ONLY product that will release the perspiration grime, to allow the laundry detergent to actually do the best it can to get the shirts clean. However, by some miracle the Stafford Travel Dress Shirts simply don't soak up the grime from his perpuration. I am sure there are other dress shirts out there with similar perspiration repellent, but for the price of these shirts the value cannot be beat. I highly recommend and will stick to purchasing this dress shirt brand for him in the future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No selection available. I have bought quite a few of the Stafford oxford cloth shirts in the past - both online and in the store and short sleeves and long sleeves. I like the striped ones best, especially the short sleeved ones. I have been trying to get some replacement ones for a couple of years but the selection keeps getting smaller and smaller. Now all you offer is white, ecru, blue and blue striped. I have all of them. In the past I have also bought green striped and maroon (or red) striped and other colors but they are never available. Several of my older shirts are still in very good shape except for the one weak spot - the collars wear through where they fold and look shabby. I would like to replace them but the colors haven't been available for some time. You won't sell something if you keep narrowing the selection and don't offer customers what they want.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from More Style Please I love these shirts for wearing to work. I have been purchasing them for a bunch of years and they are long lasting and truly wrinkle free. I usually only need to replace them after many wearings because the armpits area becomes stained. The problem I have been having is that I can not find enough variations in colors and patterns. One can only own so many blue solid and blue striped shirts

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SHORT-SLEEVE SHIRT FITS PERFECTLY--NOW FIX THE LONG-SLEEVE ONES! Wearing a long-sleeved dress shirt to work every day can be HOT in muggy southeastern Louisiana, so it's nice to have some short sleeved versions (even though it does make me look a little like a used car salesman). I was leery of buying Stafford because in the last two years they've made their Regular Fit long-sleeved dress shirts UNBEARABLY TIGHT. This button-down Oxford shirt fits perfectly. I was especially concerned about the fit through and across the shoulders because I've had to quit buying the TOO TIGHT long-sleeved Stafford dress shirts. It's a complete mystery to me why JCP/Stafford has chosen to ruin the Regular Fit long-sleeved shirts. Why can't they just make the Regular Fit long-sleeved version fit like this shirt? WHY CAN'T ALL STAFFORD SHIRTS FIT ALL THE TIME(LIKE THEY DID UNTIL ABOUT TWO YEARS AGO)/

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Used to be an excellent shirt...not anymore Very disappointed with the new stafford shirt. Used to be great quality and fit but not anymore. Old shirts used to say classic fit on tag and fit great,t nice material, wore them to work for years. Now the new shirts say reg fit on tag...its a cheaper quality material and awful fit. very tight in the chest and bulky in the shoulders. Very disappointing...please bring back our old favorites.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing I've worn these shirts for over 30 years. They used to be an excellent value with exceptional fit, and I wear a full-cut shirt. My wife just purchased 4 new ones but they contained the tag "Regular Fit". The shirts must have been sized incorrectly because the necks measured about an inch and a half shorter than the label. Also, the shirts were not nearly the same size as those that needed to be replaced. Did JCP change manufacturers or suppliers? The shirts had to be returned and now I'm skeptical of ordering new ones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stafford Shirts I took all the shirts back to a J.C.Penney store. Not because they aren't good shirts but because I ordered the wrong size. My husband needs a 19 Xtall. He has only worn Stafford shirts for many years and it has gotten to where you are the only place I can find them, but now you don't have the size we need and you certainly don't offer a variety of colors or patterns. He only likes the button down collars in either solids or stripes and mostly in short sleeves. There are a lot of tall men in this country so market something that is of quality material and looks good and a variety of colors and patterns and less of the junk I find when I go on line to order shirts for him.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Please bring this shirt back! These are the ONLY shirts that fit me in size 20 EXTRA tall. They seem to have been discontinued, as I have been unable to find my size since last year! I love the OXFORD shirts; however ,all the "Broadcloth" labeled shirts feel like pajamas and don't hold their shape. Please bring back the OXFORD shirts in size 20 EXTRA-tall.

I need the regular fit of this half sleeve white and blue colour, neck size 17.5 but I can't find the selection of a regular fit and therefore I'm not sure that if I order the shirts I will get the right size? Please advise. Thank you.

Answer:
not sure why but these shirts are regular fit, Stafford used to offer more selections but no more, probably because shirts are cut and sewn in different countries

Answer:
I normally use size XL, so I ordered the shirt in size XL and the neck size just over my normal size because I won't be using a tie, just open collar. I too wanted a 'regular' fit, but no choice was given . So the XL was the right size and 'fit'. It appeared to be like a 'regular' fit. I say give it a try, may be ok for you too.

Answer:
If I were doing the sizing chart I would certainly make that part of the sizing chart. My only thought is that some of these clothes are not made in the USA and thus their ways of sizing are very simple. I too would like to recommend that this idea be a part of JCP's sizing chart.

Answer:
Most short sleeved shirts are usually casual wear be it tucked in or not, probably why no slim or custom fit but usually regular fit. Long sleeved dress shirts show the custom or slim fit choices for easy tuck in trousers
especially worn with a suit for a little formal wear.

Answer:
Hi,
I order the Stafford brand dress shirts regularly, both short sleeve and long sleeve. The shirt you have posted is a regular fit shirt. If the individual is a bit larger, then you will need to buy the shirt marked "Big & Tall." I hope this aids you in your purchase. I have had no issues with the shirt fitting correctly.

Answer:
I have found that Stafford shirts come in 'regular' sizing unless the description specifically states 'slim' or 'custom'.

Answer:
I wish I had had that answer before I purchased the three Wrinkle Free Oxford shirts for my husband.
My husband has been wearing a 17.5 shirt because of his neck size . I ended up exchanging the shirts for a 17 neck and he could have easily worn a more tailored shirt as his body size is more of a 16.5. These shirts are not tapered and I am not sure why they were described as NOT tapered. I hope that was helpful.
