Rated 1 out of 5 by from Extreme disappointment after 20+ years..... I have used Dockers pants for 20+ years now. After an absence of purchasing Dockers for about 5 years from local stores, I began purchasing on line over the past 2 years. The prior quality was very high. The quality lately is dismal. Fit, finish and assembly seem adequate....but the quality of the cloth itself is terrible. It rips and shreds with ease....not at the seam but in the body of the cloth itself. Being a senior with a desk job, the pants are never abused (and yes...they are properly sized). The final straw was a pair I took off today that had a 6"+ shredding tear by the pocket......worn once and not as of yet even washed. I have several pairs of these late model Dockers that are riddled with patches and repairs that my wife has performed. My current plan is to lose some weight and go back to wearing my older Dockers. After that....I will have to pursue a different brand. It saddens me to see such a classic quality brand go this way. Very disappointed!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not as expected I currently own a couple of pair of Dockers D3 Signature Classic khakis with expandable waistband which I bought from one of the department stores near me. For the first time I ordered 2 more pair through your website and I ordered what I thought were the same model because the description said something like "individual fit waistband". When I opened the package I discovered that, unlike the two pair I already own, the new ones do NOT have the expandable waistband but the "individual fit waistband". I cannot see where the new style allows for any variation in waist size and the exact same size as the ones I own can't even be buttoned. They apparently aren't even close to the "real" size but are an inch or so smaller. Going to the next larger size, where the expandable waistband is available (Big & Tall category), means that I have to put up with a pair of pants that will be too large and baggy. I am returning the two pair of pants I just received. You have lost me as a customer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Meh I bought 3 different pairs of these pants: light khaki, dark khaki and black. This is my first online purchase of pants and I only did it because I love my existing D3 dockers and wanted more like them. For some reason, these have a button at the waist in the front instead of the clip/hook in my existing pair. That was my first disappointment, but I figured maybe I missed an option or something. After wearing the light khakis 4 or 5 times, the seam below the zipper began unthreading and they are currently being fixed at a dry cleaners. That's ridiculous. It's not like I've had the pants for years. They were brand new. I am also a fit slender guy, so it's not like I busted out of them. The other disappointment was that the dark khakis look much more like olive green. I think they are green (even though the receipt says dark khaki), and I'm just trying to convince myself otherwise. This will be my last purchase from JCPenney's for pants. The only reason I gave them 3 stars is because they were pretty inexpensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Hello, Thank you for letting me express my thoughts on this item. Like so many things you sell at JCP all are up to style and classics that we all have come to love in our family. But even more so with this item (Docker slacks) the are in part what supports our family. How you ask? My Husband is Consultant to a very large recreational firm. He see's 1000's of people a year and He has a choice to wear any kind of slack but he chooses yours because he says "I know when I put these pants on they will be the same when I take them off" no wrinkles, no splits,(he's a big Man) and the zippers always work. I know he feels confident in your clothing since I have tried and bought different clothing for him but he always prefers your slacks. And since he makes a living in them you are part in parcel the reason for our family success. Again Thank you for making a quality product. Sincerely The Jackson's

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not what they once were I have worn Dockers for 25+ years and recently ordered their Signature Khaki. From the moment I put them on, they seemed different. I pulled out a pair I have worn for a couple of years (D3 Classic Fit). Not sure if they have shrunk, but here is what I discovered. The new pants have a smaller hem, a shorter rise, less fabric in the rear seam (like almost zero) and weigh less than the old Dockers. And why do 32" inseams measure 31" (is it like 2X4's that aren't 2 or 4 inches)? The fabric seem thinner and the seams seem weaker. Overall less a quality product than before. I will test these out on an upcoming trip and then decide if its time to look elsewhere for my casual pants.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sizing can be off My husband wears these for work and we order from JCP because they carry clothes for tall, thin men. My only issue with Dockers is the fact that their manufacturiing process could use a bit more quality control with sizing. He's never gotten an order where all pairs fit. If he orders 3 pair, one or two will have to be exchanged. I'm not sure what the problem is, but it's a litlle frustrating. If it were easier to find him comfortable, neat looking slacks, I'd buy another brand. However, you usually can't find 36" inseams unless you wear at least a 36" waist, so Dockers has his business. They wear well and the color holds well, so at least he doesn't have to replace them too often. I wish he could buy them in the store, but our local stores only have up to 34" inseams.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too Many Cons I bought 3 pairs online in size 46X29. At first glance, they seemed pretty nice. But, the first day that I wore a pair to work, by mid-morning the lap area was so wrinkled/creased that they were an embarrassment. I no longer will wear them to work! Secondly, they are advertised as having a permanent crease down the legs, but it was gone after the second wash. The pants now need to be ironed before wearing them out in public. Last but not least, the crotch does not have enough room to keep you from feeling all pinched in. No, I can not recommend these Dockers pants. In fact, I think that the original Dockers brand quality has been on the decline. I wasted my money! Lesson learned!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pockets tear, material lacking durability, decline in quality Poor quality material and stitching. They used to be great. I'm stuck having to purchase these pants. (long legs). I have to take them to the tailor to sew the top of the front pockets because they tear with the first use. The fabric fades and frays within a few months, just sitting at my desk. They used to be a durable pant, now they are an overall low quality. Avoid buying these pants.

What is a comfort waistband?

Asked by: Greg
The comfort waistband has 2 elastic panels, 1 on each side. It allows the waistband to flex in size. If you wear suspenders rather than a belt, it makes the waist more comfortable. I like it as my waist seems to vary some from time to time due to fluid retention or overeating.

Are the cargos truly for a tall man

I found the size I want (38 x 36 - although a 34 length would be preferable), but have a question regarding zipper length. It looks short, and ' tall man' pants should have a zipper roughly 1 1/2 inches longer than regular size. What's the scoop ?
Asked by: mike
Yes! My husband is over 50 and 6'2". The pants fit nicely and gives a professional look
