Have bought cotton metropolitan socks for decades. Always loved them. The new ones are three inches shorter than what they used to be. When washed one time, they shrank almost three more inches. I wear a size 10 1/2 shoe, I cannot possibly wear them. Must return them.

I have been buying the cotton metropolitan socks since 1984. These socks used to be cotton. Now this version is 45% cotton. There are other versions of metropolitan socks that have 5% and another with 1%. I am trying to buy up a 100 pairs of the 45% cotton metropolitan socks before they are no longer available. I had to buy on line as you can rarely find more than a pair in a department store.

Have been using this type of sock for over 10 years. The best sock ever! Sometimes is hard to find at my local JCPenny. Rather to by at store than online. I don't know why but believe sometimes the online product is somewhat different than the product at the store.

These socks seem to be constructed well and should last a good long while.

Very dark, almost seem black even though they say navy on the tag.

I do not like synthetic fibers and was looking for cotton dress socks. Most of the socks were cotton blends. These did not specify. I did an online chat and got no definite answer, but the assumption was that they were all cotton. Well, they are 42% nylon.

I have used Gold Toe Socks for more than 20 years! They are of high quality and don't get holes in them like other brands do for the same or more money. I like the True Color stripe that runs across the toes of the blue socks. Makes it so much easier to find the right pair, especially after washing.

It happened again this year; Hubby said socks were wearing out; I am tired of replacing them each and every year; I researched and ended up hitting the sock jackpot; he now has a few dozen pairs of interchangeable socks so IF (not likely) one wears out, just replace it; very happy I could please him after 42 years of marriage---pleased also that he actually wanted to know where I got the socks.
