Rated 1 out of 5 by from Quality of this product has declined I have purchased Stafford full briefs for years now and have been very satisfied with both the fit and the value of the product. I recently purchased two packages of briefs--one made in Honduras and one made in Pakistan. The briefs made in Honduras are fine--although they seem a bit thin. However, the briefs made in Pakistan roll at the waist and fit very poorly. What has happened to JCP quality control? If I can find the Honduras version I will continue to purchase this product. If not, I will shop at another store. I have been a loyal JCP customer for 40 years and we have one of the best stores in the nation!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not the Same! Unacceptable fit! I have to agree with the other one star reviews here. My mom purchased JCP underwear for me until I left home in my early twenties. I have purchased the Stafford (black stripe) underwear for my entire adult life (I think it was Towncraft before, but the better JCP underwear changed to Stafford about 20 or more years ago). JCP/Stafford full cut briefs were consistently THE best briefs made by anyone; consistently the best quality and fit. It was the one thing that kept me coming back to JCP. Occasionally, I would try a different brand (I've tried just about all of them: Jockey, CK, Hanes, etc) just because I was in a store and it was convenient, but I never found any that I liked as well or were as comfortable (and I threw the other brands away because they were too uncomfortable). Until now -- the quality is inferior (what's with the annoying new 'fuzzy' waistband that doesn't stay in place like the old u/w?) They are noticeably thinner and lesser quality. But the biggest disappointment is that they are MUCH smaller than they used to be. They are NOT "full cut" anymore despite what the package says! They fit more like regular briefs, which -- if that is what I wanted -- I would have bought instead. I cannot STAND annoying, short underwear that I feel like I need to pull up all day! I tried the next size up, but they are too big! Needless to say, JCP has lost my business after 52 years! I don't know WHAT I am going to have to buy now!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Sizing and Quality If there was one thing that I could count on was the mens (Stafford) underwear at JCP. I can not say that any longer...obviously the buyer does not understand underwear fit. I have purchased the blue, gray & black for 25 years and now on the new product the waste band rolls and the elastic in the legs is not tight enough causing the underwear to ride up. The fit is terrible. Hopefully, sales in the category will fall off enough to return to the previous product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Briefs falling apart I have bought Stafford briefs for over 30 years and until recently they have been of the best quality. The group I bought about a year ago is falling apart at the elastic band. I am very surprised and disappointed the lack of quality. I also notice the label is fading away where as it never did before. Please restore your quality to this product or I will probably never buy them again. I noticed this product is now manufactured in a different foreign country.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor Quality As other reviewers have stated, the quality of this product has diminshed greatly. The material is now paper thin, when in years past it was thick and very soft. This is very disapointing, as in years past one could always count on Penney's to provide high quality products at a fair price. One more reason to shop somewhere else.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The waistband rolls I purchased six (6) pairs of Stafford brief underwear a while back based upon previous satisfaction with this product. The new briefs have a wasteband that rolls. The old briefs did not do this. The new briefs are the same size and brand as the old ones. Please fix this problem

Rated 1 out of 5 by from poor quality bought as a gift The seams all came apart, thin material, stretched out with in a month.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great briefs for big men I am a very tall guy at 7feet 3inches and i swear by these briefs. A lot of guys at my college are switching to briefs and I always recommend these. They have a great ample length and even though I have muscular quads and glutes they fit great! Even the biggest guy will feel great in these. In fact I got my 6foot 9inch Dad and 7foot 5inch Brother to switch to these. I do recommend go for the size up for enough room up front. A great brief.

How often do you shop at JCPenney? Occasionally

Answer:
Not sure why. I ordered off the big and tall section and it allowed me to click on the size (i.e. 50 waist) that I wanted. It is by waist size not letter size (L, M).
