Rated 1 out of 5 by from Change in fit to 100% cotton briefs. My husband has been wearing the Stafford 100% cotton full cut brief for more than 20 years. When I recently purchased new briefs he commented on the fit being different in a negative way. The 100% cotton briefs are at least 1.5" longer than the last package I bought for him about a year to a year and a half ago. I thought I purchased the wrong item somehow. I took them back to the store and compared the 100% cotton to the cotton blend briefs. Both packages have the exact same picture and title on the front, however, the cotton blend briefs are the normal length that we have had before. Glad I was able to get what my husband wanted; disappointed it took two trips to the store. Hope this helps other shoppers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic Men my age don't really wear this style but who cares! The comfort is too good not to wear them! These briefs are a true full rise brief. The elastic waist band is soft and fits well on the waist. The classic 2 lines is nice instead of a brand labeled all over it. The cotton stays soft and the leg holes and very comfortable wrapped and double stitched. The cotton moves with you and stays cool. They stretch a little theough out the day but nothing too bad. I wear them at work, the gym, and to sleep in. They do shrink in the wash a bit so make sure to get your true waist size cause the body of the brief is a little bit bigger. Overall a classic fit the works well for a man looking for this style. I will continue to purchase them!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A qualified recommedation In years past, If you had been buying Stafford cotton briefs (formerly labeled Classic-Fit), the Stafford Full-Cut briefs are NOT the same – they are about 2-3 inches higher on your waist (or lower in the crotch) (my size, 38/6’-2/205lbs). I purchased a 6 pk of Full-Cuts and ended up returning the package after wearing a pair for a day. As a JCP brand alternative, I tried the Stafford Low-Rise style – no go. For more than 30 years I have purchased JCP brand cotton briefs, it now looks like that run has ended. Sorry JCP, since the briefs are unusable to me, due to size/fit, I gave a 1 Star rating. At this point, it looks like Fruit of the Loom is about the same as the old Stafford.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from just like all the rest I've had a terrible time trying to find a decent pair of mens briefs. I have tried many brands recently, most are made for male models I suppose. They fit low from the waist on the hips. These briefs fit okay at the waist but the material is so thin you can almost read a newspaper through them. I really did not want tighty whities but, these are the only briefs I have found that do actually fit near the waist. I just wish they were made better. I guess the manufacturers have decided to make them so thin we will have to replace them more often. Just makes me not want to shop for them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from bad elastic waist band change These used to be great underwear but a change in waist band elastic is bad. The new waist band unravels after little use and it is also uncomfortable as it tends to fold over. My previous straffords remain comfortable but I will not buy any more new ones until this problem is fixed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My very favorite briefs of all brands and all time My go-to choice. Without question these are the best made, best quality, and best fitting briefs I have ever found. The price is a fair one, especially so when you find them on sale. There are certainly some cheaper ones out there, but in the end those are all wasted money. They never fit as well or last as well. At one time or another I have bought just about every other brief ever made, and have never found one half as good. Highly Recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Penney's Briefs Are The Best I have been buying Penney's own brand underwear for men for sixty six years and I have never been disappointed. I started doing my part in my family growing up by carrying newspapers, cutting lawns, household chores, and buying my own clothes. I learned very quickly that I received the best value for my money at the JC Penney store on Monument Circle in Indianapolis, Indiana. I still like Penney's men's wear sixty six years later.

If I have a 40 inch waist should I order size 40 or 42 full cut brief. Street talk suggests ordering a size larger than actual measurement.

What's the difference between full-cut and full-rise?

Asked by: Mark
Basically same thing. They go to your waist instead of sitting below waist like low rise or mid rise

What is the leg opening size for the Stafford Cotton Full-Cut Briefs?

My husband wears a size 32 but has very thin thighs. I need to know the measurement of the leg opening and how they were measured, i.e. from where to where? Thank you.
