by ATLshopper Definite Change in Fit, crotch/butt crunch... (size 38+)
I agree completely with Hard2Fit's previous review from June 18, 2015! I've added pics to help others who feel the difference and NEED the original Cool 18's (solid blue line trim, no lettering on inside waist trim)!
I love Haggar Cool 18's, except for this new change in their pattern cuts for the groan/butt area, there is much less material/room in this area!!!
I too have been wearing the Cool 18's with the black and blue solid lined inside waist trim for over a year now (photo), and have more than 8 pants in black and brown. These fit PERFECT!!
The new Cool 18's with the white lettering and white and blue striped line for the inside trim (photo) are a CRUNCH in the crotch/butt!! Not sure if this is as bad for the smaller waist sizes, but it's a significant change that's both visually notable and physically felt without a doubt, very uncomfortable!! Needless to say, I am very disappointed with this change!! The waist however fits good, the same as the original style.
I will be returning the 3 pair I just purchased last night as they are this new cut/fit. I hope these reviews can help others like me to avoid wasting their time and money!

I like these pants very much. They don't wrinkle and hold a seem.
The only thing different if I had a choice, would be to replace the waste button with a hook and Eye. But the button is well reinforced and I have had not problems. djm

Rated 5 out of 5 by FASMAN THEY FIT PERFECT AND LOOK GREAT
I THINK THE QUALITY IS BETTER THAN THE STORE BRANDS I HAD BEEN USING. I BOUGHT 2 PAIR TO TRY THEM AND AFTER WEARING AND LAUNDERING THEM I ORDERED 2 MORE.

I've ordered online from Haggar before and knew exactly what to expect. My pants arrived earlier than expected and fit perfectly. I definitely recommend the Cool 18 pants for anyone that is looking for style and comfort at the same time.

I bought a couple of pair and took them on a trip to Phoenix for a trade show. they looked good and felt cool and comfortable, but after a couple of hours walking around the venue carrying a simple canvas messenger bag I noticed the pants were all snagged where the bag had been touching them. The pants were no longer wearable in public at that point. I have never had a problem with any other Haggar slacks, and I have many, but I am very disappointed in the performance of this particular fabric.

I am a regular customer and have always been satisfied. This time, however, the pants did not fit properly - tho' I ordered the same size as always and there has been no change in my shape or weight.

After reading reviews stating that the "fit" had changed and that the pockets were too shallow, I had reservations about ordering on line but decided to anyway. I purchased 2 pairs and both fit very good. I noticed a different country of orgin but don't care if they are made on the moon as long as they fit and wear well.

My husband has a hard time finding comfortable pants. He has been wearing his Cool 18s in black and navy to work for years and I have always been able to purchase replacements when when needed.....until now. The seat/crotch area is now uncomfortable for him and now have to find another brand/style. No, it is not HIS size that changed, but the manufacturing cuts. He tried on one color in a local store, perfect fit...same as the ones at home; tried another color and it's 'crunch time'. The ones that fit have blue trim on the inside the waistband of the black and blue pairs, the ones that have the new cut have a white trim inside the waist band of the black and blue pairs. I even had him try a size larger to see if it helped. Yes, the waist was bigger, but still felt just as 'strangled'.
I don't know why there has been the change. I hope it is only a bad lot. If it is a design change in the pattern, then Haggar should consider a new style with these changes and restore the tried and true sizing for their hard-to-please loyal customers.
