Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too Many Silly Sizing Issues Well, I've always loved the look and feel of Dockers, but now it is rather difficult to get the sizing right with this brand. First, there is a considerable sizing difference between Classic Fit and Straight Fit pants. The Classic Fit seems to have an inseam that is one inch shorter than the stated inseam and the inseam of the Straight Fit pants. So, if you order a pair of 33X30 Classic Fit pants you get pants that are about one inch shorter in length than a pair of 33X30 Straight Fit pants. Next, Dockers produces their pants at various plants around the world (Haiti, Bangladesh, and Nicaragua). The pants produced in Bangladesh are generally roomier than those produced in Nicaragua. So, if you order a pair of 33X30s and they are from Nicaragua...you'll get pants that are tighter around your private regions and the pocket areas. The 33X30s produced in Bangladesh are great and have noticeably more room in the crotch/pocket area.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pleasantly Surprised I was pleasantly surprised with this purchase. I have not bought Dockers in 10+ years and was hesitant to do so as I didn't want a "heavy" pant or one that looked semi-casual. I was surprised that the pants were very nice looking for a business dress environment. The fabric is a little heavier than standard dress slacks, but is great for cooler weather. The fit is fantastic. I was unfamiliar with the D1, D2, D3 etc. fit styles and debated between the D1 and D2 as I like a slim fit. I ended up going with the D2 and was glad I did. It is slim fit and if the D1 is more so, then I would be uncomfortable. Initially I was hesitant to buy these pants but they were the only brand that had a color I was after. Now I am finding that I am pulling them out of the closet more often than I thought I would. I would definitely buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pair of Pants I purchased two pair, one in black and another in branch. These were a birthday gift for my son. He loves the way that the fabric moves with him and that they look great right out of the dryer. The black pair has been washed many times and continues no to fade. I plan to purchase additional pants for my husband and son from J.C. Penney.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My husband loves these pants I've bought these pants in black for years, and my husband likes the feel of the material. They wash and dry wonderfully. The only thing that I can see wrong with them is, after time, and washings, on the black pair, the belt loops in the back of the pants began to fray, and the white material inside the loops show through. Since I buy 2 or 3 pairs of pants for him, its not a big problem. Sometimes, I use a black permanent marker to color in the white part of the material. I wished the manufacturer could see this review and find a way to make the fabric on the loops more durable. Other than that, they are nice pants at a great price.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Different sizing The 35" waist is not the same as the 35" waist size from the exact same model I ordered 2 years ago -- now its smaller (yes I did a side-by-side comparison, no my waist has not expanded). A feature I really liked in the pants from 2 years ago: the black pants had an orange liner inside the waist, the blue pants had a lite blue liner, very easy to tell the difference between black and blue pants in a poorly lit closet. The new pants have the SAME COLOR liner for both black and blue pants, why??? These types of inconsistencies in clothing drives me nuts, you find something you really like and it looks and fits perfectly, then you reorder the same model and you get a different product. Bottom line, Dockers from 2 years ago 5 Stars, this new order, 2 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better Than the Classic Fit Dockers My husband has worn the classic fit Dockers for years. The Signature Straight Fit looks much nicer on him. They look more contemporary as they sit a little lower on the hips. The material has a bit of a sheen to it and wrinkles less than the classics do. I toss them in the dryer for about ten minutes and then hang; no need to iron.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pant My husband is a tall slender man 33 waist 34 inseam, not a size you usually find in the store. He was so excited when he found this pant. Comfortable, great looking pair of casual pants. I ordered 3 pair on line. Black, Grey and Coffee bean. All three fit totally different. The black were kind of shinny, didn't like that and they were not the length we ordered. Almost like they were cut to short. The grey fit great (kept those) but the coffee bean which I thought were a dark brown...nope more of a green/brown not sure how to describe it also did not fit according to the size ordered. Beside the size issue he loves these pants just wish we could try them on in the store so we know what we're getting.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Slipping Quality For many years Dockers has been my slacks of choice. The fit was perfect and the quality of material was excellent. Not to mention the durability. For years I considered buying no other pair of pants. Recently it has become far more difficult to find a pair of Dockers that live up to their previous standards. The material is inferior, the stitching causes uneven fits and the sizes are now running smaller than before. For the first time in a long time, I am searching for alternate brands to replace the way the old Dockers use to be.

Are these slimmer in thighs and legs than the signature classic but larger than the Slim Fit D1 in thighs and legs?

Classic Fit was a bit baggy on me, but I am athletic fit with average size quads/hams but I am small below the knee with smaller calfs. Is this the closest fit for me?
Asked by: Jman
I am tall and slender and found the D3 pants to be a bit baggy. These straight fit are perfect--not too tight like the D1, but a good fit.
