Can this ring be sized to a 10? If so, typically how long does sizing take & can I only purchase this ring online?
No, for two reasons. First, and this applies no matter what the ring is made of, is because it is a channel set band, and channel set bands cannot be resized without jeopardizing the security of the diamonds. Resizing a ring alters the curve of the band, and would affect the security and shape of the channel that holds the diamonds in place. It would stretch the channel out of shape and loosen the hold it has on the stones. Most jewelers will decline to resize anything with channel set stones because of the risk in losing stones later.
Secondly, this ring is not made from gold or from sterling silver. It is made from a hybrid alloy of silver, a very small amount of platinum and copper. There is no sizing alloy available to use to size this kind of a ring up, or to solder it in place to size it up or down. The rings were originally produced using molds that made them in different sizes from the beginning, so sizing them wasn't needed.
You need to be very careful when purchasing rings made from non standard metals that you get the correct size at the time of purchase. Resizing services for these types of items don't exist. Jewelers are generally equipped to work with only gold, Platinum, and some with silver.
