Rated 1 out of 5 by from A real let down and not the usual quality I bought this coffee maker less than a week ago. I got it home and made about five cups and it worked fine but the next morning my wife tried to make 12 cups and it over flowed all over our counter. We cleaned it up and tried it again and it seems the coffee wasn't filtering correctly and when I tried to drink it, the coffee taste like plastic. Now I have a new coffee maker that I'm stuck with since I apparently threw away the receipt. It's sitting in a box and I retrieved my old coffee maker that I was about to take to Goodwill. I'm very disappointed in the "quality" of this Mr. Coffee maker.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hmmmm I have never had a problem Mine is going on 6 years old and was just checking this site as there is a small crack in the filter basket so want to replace it. Surprised to see all the negative reviews with water puddling, hard to pour etc. Mine has worked great, never a problem, never a puddle. My carafe has never leaked. Just checking but be sure to pour water via the flip up portion at rear of lid; not into the small opening behind the filter basket with the lid open. That is the only way I can think that the water would be hard to pour in.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lasted 5+ Years It was a great coffee maker but recently I've noticed steam coming out of the resivoir and its getting worse. There is also a burnt smell that concerns me. I think it is time for a new coffee maker after 5 years. it was a great product!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Worked well for a while Initially this product worked well, but over time it developed issues. Every time I use this coffee maker now, it loses about have of the water I put in, apparently as steam. Steam billows out the top, and by the time the coffee is finished brewing, the window in my breakfast / coffee nook is completely steamed over, as are the glasses above the coffee maker (even my cat has noticed this...he enjoys watching the birds out this window, and he gives me a look when he can't see out it in the morning). I tried adjusting the temperature setting, but this has no effect. It also leaks with some frequency, not just from the reservoir, but from the percolator, which doesn't always drip right in. This causes the burner to get dirty very quickly, and I'm sure isn't great for it. I've cleaned it and cleaned it and cleaned it some more, but it doesn't make a real difference. 2 stars because it used to work well, still has some nice features like timed brew, and even though I can only get half a pot of coffee out of a full pot of water, it does still work (I probably need to cut back on coffee consumption anyway, so maybe this is a desirable feature).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Coffee pot leaks I got this as a present at Christmas and have had continual problems with the pot leaking around the black flange at the top of the pot. I have tried pouring it slow and all at once but nothing helps. I always end up with a puddle of coffee or water on the counter and water down the side of the coffee maker. The option to hold the flow of coffee if you want a cup before it finishes brewing never seems to work. The coffee just keeps coming and gets all over the heating element. I had better luck with the $9.99 off brand. This was an expensive present and I would not buy it again. Mr. Coffee is suppose to be a great brand. I am rethinking it.

Love its design where you can see the water amount in front. that is a big feature to us!!. Coffee has been brewing great until 2 days ago. Went to make coffee as usual and the coffee would NOT brew. Clock would fade out as soon as I turned it on. Frustrated after 30 minutes trying get it to work I ended up boiling water and pouring thru the top so I could have my coffee. I could not believe I was having problems with Mr. Coffee again after newly purchasing this pot. The next day I thought I would give it a try again and what do you know it decided to brew again. But now I am very hesitant about the coffee maker that it will do it again and it is only 1-1/2 months old. I have owned a Mr. Coffee for over 20 yrs and very hesitant about buying another one because I know this is gonna happen again. So now I have to look into purchasing another coffee pot as much as I love Mr. Coffee I think after all these yrs I have to look at another brand. That is why I only gave it 3 stars instead of 5.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Loved it...now not so much.... I purchased this machine 6 months ago with confidence it would last a minimum of 5 years as my previous machines. This morning...BAM...no coffee...no warning...Other than the cleaning light coming on the last week. I am so disappointed. I wasn't happy with the water reservoir. You can't pour water without spilling all over the side and making a mess, but I was willing to try and live with that since it was working otherwise. Now I have to send it in for repair..probably wait a month and then what?? I need to go purchase a coffee maker anyway!! Why can't this company take care of their products within the warranty period? Very disappointed with product quality and now..customer service.
